Unrelated question for you fellow PVP nerds - I've got a an awful IV (15/14/14) Grass Knot Cresselia. Worth powering up for Ultra League? Does the loss of bulk matter much?
I would look to use trades to get better IVs for Cress. The difference in bulk is most apparent in UL and I would not invest in it if you can afford to wait to get a better one.
Just finished watching. Will Necrozma, Solgaleo, Lunala, or Marshadow be PVP relevant? Currently in the Master League, and it's a stretch to say limited non ML Cups? Always nice to get at least 1.
I would say that dusk mane and dawn wings will be very good for ML, and Marshadow won’t be top meta but may have niche use in ML as well. Solgaleo itself is top meta for ML.

I would say the best introduction to pokemon go pvp would be a few games of rock paper scissors with a friend to understand the basics
