- During the RACE1000 in Germany I have filmed this 630HP VW GOLF 3 VR6 Turbo 4Motion. It racing against a 900HP Twin Turbo Lamborghini Huracan, Audi R8 V10 Plus and Porsche 991 Turbo S! Who will be the fastest? I hope you enjoy the video.

I had a Golf 2 with a VR6 taken from a Golf3 .Loved that car. With a high performance exhaust system, one of the best sounding production motors ever made.

-> No Launch Control

Ive seen some really bog standard looking cars that people have built for the fraction of the money one that one of those things cost, and some have really blown these alleged super cars out of the water! It's not all about having a ridiculously oversized exhaust and a tacky paint job! Electric rules now anyway, and you can build one of those now that will decimate anything with an engine in for even less!

Had a normal vr6 in an older Passat, even stock the engine was a beast. Place in Canada builds these engines, said even up to 600 HP they are reliable daily drivers. Vr6 is bulletproof.
Dude with the VW got the jump start in every race, and still had trouble sticking it out in the end lol

No it’s not. Totally under powered. 174hp from a 2.8 v6 is terrible. Abysmal engineering. If you gave the Japanese the same engine they’d get a hell of lot more power than 174hp from it.
My old S2000 had 240hp from a 2.0 4 cylinder.
The S2000 engine was the most powerful per litre normally aspirated engine for 10 years before Ferrari came along and bettered it. It was 120hp per litre. I think you need to re-evaluate what you think is a good engine. Even the Corrado 2.9 v6 wasn’t much better.
