Singaporeans still remember Lee Hsien Loong said "What will make you need to raise GST? Profligate spending and irresponsible, unsustainable plans. That is what will hurt and require you to raise taxes and GST." 😞Can we trust the PAP? (When GST was introduced in 1994, the rate was 3%. This was increased to 4% in 2003, 5% in 2004, 7% on 1 July 2007, 8% in 2023 and 9% in 2024)
Did you ask him why his children are not supporting him? Did you ask him why he didn't save money during his younger days? Why are oppositions and opposition supporters quick to blame the government when they see elderly people working? Do they know the background of these elderly people before drawing conclusions? Even if you did ask and he did give you a reply, you can't be sure that what he told you is the truth. Leong Mun Wai is a good example. He didn't verify what the elderly couple told him and was quick to put up a post about them not receiving much help from the government and was subsequently issued a Pofma. 😂

Someone said: "and for all the people, and not just jobs, but good jobs, and jobs which let you raise your income, and do better for your family..." An empty promise?😞 Let's not play wth words☝Singaporeans should go search online for all the PAP General Election Rallies. Go listen to every single word that these PAP people said to Singaporeans in all the past election rallies, and examined them carefully. Can we still trust the PAP?
Singaporeans, please go search online and watch all those PAP Rallies from GE1984 to GE2020, do listen clearly to what all those PAP candidates said, every word they said to us, and look at our life now in 2024. (if the PAP and our mainstream media delete PAP Rallies videos that don't put them in a good picture, then we will clearly know why)
Real or fake, all PAP IBs have one common characteristic: They respond fast to opportunities for supporting the PAP or denigrating its opposition. No idiot would be convinced by a sock puppet reminding us that the PAP is the best and that everyone else is inferior.
In the past during my Primary school days, I happened to see the class register and noticed many classmate parents were unemployed. There was no Giro system. Supplementary fee was 50 cents and the class had to remind students to tell their parents about outstanding supplementary fees.
There are very good paying jobs Those paying 200k and above So what im angry about is pap did not put in place the strategies and support that will help us get that job So i propose extra extra family support for parents who want to take specialised training to get that 200k job. How will the mid career 4k skillsfuturr for a full time diploma help us get the 200k job? They are not serious about it becauee they do not want Singaporeans to stay in charge of the large enterprises in this country
So many people want a 200k job so who should the government help? The government's job is to create jobs. It's for people to prove that they are deserving of the job. There are many true blue Singaporeans holding jobs that pay 200k without the government's help.
@yoyolexy so many people? A look at income per capita shows this is not the case. Does it mean some people dont need help means all people dont need help? A lot of parents need to take care of children and old age parents they do not have the time to find out what options they have.
