Very useful lesson ! How about pouring the tea from the cup to the saucer if it is too hot? And having it from the saucer? I guess it is wrong. But mostly people do like that in ordinary tea shops and restaurants, when the tea is hot. Please clarify.

Please don’t pour into saucer. If it’s very hot, drink after sometime. That is the only option. Don’t blow at the tea for cooling it.

What’s the use of saucer? Saucer has a wider surface area and helps cool the hot liquid. Basic science! But mannerism and etiquette consciousness have made saucers obsolete.
