Those impact wrenches arent really meant for driving wood screws even if you use those torx sockets. Impact drivers are what should have been tested on those screws. I've never seen someone use an impact wrench for wood screws, lag bolts sure but with impact sockets. The drill test was between a brushed vs brushless model is unfair, there's quite a significant gain in power on the brushless models. My brushed hercules drill couldn't get through a 2x4 with the hercules self feeding spade bits without bogging down several times but my new brushless hercules drill has zero issues, bith paired with 5ah batteries. When using brushed drills I use regular spade bits.
Looks like I need to stick to using my impact wrench for changing tires and not wood screws! The problem with the harbor freight brands is you need a $100 dollar battery upgrade to be on par with a better name brand. At this point you, it ends up costing more. I have a price breakdown at the end. I definitely agree with you on pairing the brushed and brushless drills, I did mention in the video that it was an unfair. Thanks for the heads up, I appreciate you taking the time to comment. Believe it or not, the feedback help with future videos.
@homesteadgarage Yes, I'm at my winter home and I wanted the light duty Bauer string trimmer for there but I already have Hercules batteries... I Googled battery adapters, and ended up buying one from Amazon, was on sale under $18...
Wrong. You needed the Impact Driver for what you’re doing. The new Hercules Impact Driver beat both the Gen 3 & 4 Milwaukee impacts on the Torque Test channel.
I see you're getting a lot of heat in the comments but I enjoyed the video. I didn't know the difference between an impact wrench and an impact driver until I had to buy one to use on a car.
"We got something going here, something going there." You should have gotten comparable and appropriate tools before doing the video. Wasted my dang time. 😂
I just wish harbor freight prices would stay responsible. Unfortunately, all these tests are getting to HF head, and their prices are going up . I'm sorry to say that will be there down fall
You really should have used the brushless Bauer edition drill!! That would have really made a big difference with the a closer comparisons between the two Names!!? I have a brushless Bauer drill and it is awesome!! Thanks for the comparison video though!! Okay 👍👍👍
@@homesteadgarage Thanks I'll be interested in the new video I got your notifications on so I'll get your updated video thanks again for your videos I'm also sharing the videos so you will get more views and new subscribers thanks again!! 👍👍👍
You weren’t happy with the impacts because you bought the wrong tool for what you tested them for and with the Bauer drill you bought the lower inversion. You should have gotten the brushless one.
something's wrong with the tools or batteries if they're delivering a different voltage just from a different battery size. It's not supposed to work like that.
as others pointed out a little unfair comparison but super high quality video i was expecting alot more than 500 subs. i had to ht the sub button. and also the video was a little quiet for me
lol this guy doesn’t know the difference between an impact driver and an impact driver wrench drill, and he runs a tool channel?? Terrible test too. All messed up. You needed an impact driver. Like a wood working drill. Not an impact wrench that uses sockets. Those are for bolts and engine and tire work.
I wonder if your jiu jitsu is as good as your observation in crappy videos. i probably would have done a little bit better if i spent more time with the tools, but i was shooting on the fly. i can guarantee that if you subscribe, I will give you some more crappy videos to pick apart.
@@homesteadgarage because you compared two different things and never got to a conclusion about which one is better.. not that you could since you got two different tools...
@@homesteadgarage which was incorrectly made.. you compared a brushless to a brushed one.... and with the impact wrenches which were a little more hand to hand you didn't mention anything.... not that is worth too much since you got a 1/2 bauer and a 3/8 hercules.... so... I would suggest that before making a video just get all the things you need, not what you have available at that time... don't wanna be rude, but your video is pointless.... I wish there was a Harbor Freight store in my state. I would love to try out the Bauer and Hercules brands.
they have some decent items for the once in a year needed tools.

I recently bought an adapter to use my Hercules batteries with Bauer tools... Works like a charm!
really…..that’s interesting
@homesteadgarage Yes, I'm at my winter home and I wanted the light duty Bauer string trimmer for there but I already have Hercules batteries... I Googled battery adapters, and ended up buying one from Amazon, was on sale under $18...
A better head to head would be the Bauer brushless 1/2 inch drill.
Yea, I picked up the wrong one. It was my bad.
Wrong. You needed the Impact Driver for what you’re doing. The new Hercules Impact Driver beat both the Gen 3 & 4 Milwaukee impacts on the Torque Test channel.

You have great video production. I'm sure your videos will be successful in no time.
thanks for the comment! i’m trying to get better with every video.
I have to disagree with you because I have the brushed hammer drill and I drill thru 1/2 plate with warrior drill bits
those brushed have always been work horses, but they will eat a battery in no time.
You weren’t happy with the impacts because you bought the wrong tool for what you tested them for and with the Bauer drill you bought the lower inversion. You should have gotten the brushless one.
I’m thinking of revisiting this challenge. stay tuned.
@@homesteadgarage ok cool
He thought he had the impact driver, but got the job done with a wrench. Supposed to no but it worked
i would use a banana for a hammer if i could. 😂
They both make a 1/4 drive impact driver, you have impact wrenches.
Im going to revisit these two brands. I don’t think i tested them enough.
You should be using an impact socket, not just a standard socket. The right tool for the right job.
Yea, i know . i would say something smart but i love getting smoke checked by a Marine. Subscribe for more shady tool reviews. 😂

I honestly would love to try it again in the near future. It’s always good to get some feedback from the community.
Volts or jolts… battery size makes a difference in actual work/output. These days we all know the earth is not flat.
@@netwt449 if not flat, then how do we make flat paint?
Love the demun hat

The impact drivers are machanics impacts ...not construction
I figured that much. it’s really tough to evaluate a tool that you test for only a couple days.
lol this guy doesn’t know the difference between an impact driver and an impact driver wrench drill, and he runs a tool channel??

The only thing a 1.5 or 2.0 battery is good for is a glue gun 😅
by the time you buy an upgraded battery, you spent more than a high end Ridgid combo set. thanks for the comment.👍
Oh man, those noises sound just like my constipated ^$$!
So funny! 😆
If they just made them use the same battery
That would be to convenient. lol
This is BS
Why?

Its mention at the end of the video. I made a final conclusion.
