Remember when Ned said "next time we see each other, we'll talk about your mother"? Jon learns abouth is mother in front of Ned's crypt
That shit crazy 😭
Wait what
Jon never visited Ned's crypt in the time he was living in Winterfell after defeating Ramsay?
@@PelosiStockPortfolio he did. Its just people connecting the dots.
I think Nikolaj Coster-Waldau is such an under rated actor. His facial expressions are incredible and he pulls it off so many times in this show. He gives me goosebumps without saying a single word.
Absolutely. It's striking how often he draws the eye and the attention when he's playing against another actor who's playing a more flamboyant character.
You see Nikolaj Coster-Waldau in the movie shot caller? 🤌
He was one of the best actor on the show. Specially that bath tub scene that has to be best piece of acting on the show
He is also in a surprising number of movies that most people never realized he was in... someone else mentioned Shot Caller, but also movies like Blackhawk Down. Every time I see that one, I yell out loud "THAT'S JAIME FOOKIN' LANNISTER!!!"
I think Nikolaj Coster Waldau should be the next James Bond. He's literally as perfect for the role as Christopher Reeve was for Superman.
Great episode unironically. It's always nice to see a high emotional intelligence reactor who gets the perspectives and motivations of the characters instead of being mad that they're not doing what the viewer expected them to do. Especially that you understand that Tyrion didn't turn dumb, his goal was always to restrain Dany's destructive impulses and that disillusionment and weakness towards family ties blinds even the sharpest men. I'm glad you got Sansa's perspective. And I'm glad you understood that Dany would never give up her throne. That is the key difference between her and Jon, the two sides of the Targaryen coin. This is the point where Dany stans are in full blown denial mode that the show dared to not do their Disney princess fanfic. Great reaction!
Agree. Most of the haters of how this series ends are Dany-fan bois that can't deal with the fact that their favorite character was evil....from the very start...
2:38 “… they don’t trust me but they’ll sure as hell learn to fear me.” 👀
👀
Not a good thing.
The problem with S8 starts at little things like this:
Daenerys should not have just out of the blue encouraged Jon to "oh just go on and try a dragon". I think it was written just to show the audience a spectaculare dragon ride scene, it was not written to make sense.
They didn't pay attenton to things like playing the theme song.
Sofie is so smart that I was expecting her to realize Bran's "I'm waiting for an old friend" was about Jaime.
Another great reaction from Sofie. She enjoyed all the funny things on this episode (the Dragon looking at Jon while he was kissing Daenerys, the "I always had blue eyes").
Seeing these last few episodes through your eyes makes me appreciate them more than on my first watch.
Great call seeing Arya's face soften on the 2nd hug with Jon. And I think it was so cool that Jon rode the dragon named after his Father. All I can think why Dany let him climb on & ride Rhaegal is maybe because at Dragon Stone she was surprised Drogon let Jon pet his nose. So maybe she believes they trust him. Lil does she know....what her children sense & know
"Not well suited to sea voyages" is code for "Are really expensive and time consuming to CGI"
Both are equally true (elephants need to eat around 300lbs/136kg of food a day). So, expensive either way. While intimidating, I recently learned that the reason people stopped using elephants in battle is that they are skittish & ended up trampling troops on both sides while trying to escape the fray. ❤🧡💛💚💙💜
Tyrion in Season 4 : "If the killer threw himself before the Iron Throne, confessed to his crimes, and gave irrefutable evidence of his guilt, it wouldn't matter to Cersei."
Season 7: forgets his own words.
I always forget how let down I was by how uncomplicated Yara’s rescue was. Really needed to see Theon shine in a bigger way there but what we got felt more like a bullet point on an outline.
I read the actress who played Yara was pregnant and in her last term and that caused them to unfortunately to hurry and write her out of the show while she had limited availability. But, I agree an unfortunate end of what I thought could have been a better story arc.
@@dougburton7416 Makes a lot of sense. I think with how rushed seasons 7&8 seemed in general it was easy for me to just lump the Theon plot into that.
Jon left the north with nothing + came back with the best of the best fighting force possible in the “song of ice + fire” universe: elite cavalry + elite infantry + 3 dragons
...in order 2 defend the north/the seven kingdoms
“Undank ist der Welten Lohn”
Your commentary on the missing Stark theme during Arya & Jon reuniting is Spot on !! You are so insightful on your viewings !! You catch every detail in the scene from the background music to the words spoken and actors facial expressions. I have watched every episode of the series at least 3 or 4 times and still catch things I missed. I have watched your reactions for the whole series and you caught items the 1st time around. You need to be hired by a screenwriters guild and make this your life's work on consulting shows. You have amazing observational skills !!
I've followed Sofie for 6 years on UA-cam and she is one of the most intelligent, insightful, and empathic reactors around. It's not surprising that she has so many subscribers (and counting). She deduced Jon Snow's parents much earlier than any reactor that I have seen, and many of her predictions/speculations have come true. We will see if her predictions of the reaction by Sansa and Daenerys about Jon's claim to the Iron Throne will come out.

Season 7 is just as bad imo
Hiw Daenerys wouldn't gave up her crown when she is already did that twice, she gave up going to Westeros for years to protect the slaves in Essos and she went north to a very dangerous war leaving the iron throne in the south without thinking in possibility of losing this war ...
Bran was high AF. You saw how small his eyes were. And he likely sat outside overnight, waiting for Jamie. That's how you know he was faded high. That man sat overnight in the cold.
...one of them 'youre not my real dad dragons.' love it!
The House Tarly setup was perfect. That Jon Sam conversation would be different if it happened at any other time. Perfect of Bran to push the course and direction of events. Just like giving Arya the dagger. Everything Sam told Jon was the truth. Targ stans hate hearing it but you know it. All of Dany's counsels have been repeating this same thing about her for seasons trying to restrain her worst impulses.
"...one of those 'youre not my real dad' dragons."
you do say some funny things!
Bran : "couldn't give me a hand?"
Jamie : "why, need a push?"
Wonderful journey from First season to last 😮Looking forward for House of dragons 😊❤❤
I love your GOT reactions. Look forward to the next one 👊🏻
You actually recall the soundtrack/score from the first episode? 😄I'm impressed
I have bought each season used DVDs watch them I don't know how many times but the final season is hard to watch but at the same time the reunions are priceless. Yep my favorite warning in the episode is "watch out he has blue eyes"...
It is refreshing to see you still enjoying this show and this season.
Luckily, the Wall is magical, it keeps out the army of the dead as long as it stands, I’m sure the dang and the dragons will be super useful and not do something stupid like sending people north to get proof only to lose a dragon that will then destroy the Wall.
Hope you ignore all the negative comments about this season and form your OWN opinions! Great reaction love!!
On episode 3 you have to set your TV to make it brighter, is quite dark.
Understatement! 😎
I think Jon may have also wanted to announce that he accepted Daenerys as Queen later. But he was forced to do when Cercei asked him not to take sides in the war.
People complain a lot about this season , but the truth is the first three episodes are very good. The ending, well...
It's amazing how great your reactions are. Thanks so much!
alright now the real Game of Thrown begins.
5:55 I actually never noticed that one but she totally did lol
Phenomenal premiere. Super bittersweet. MVP of the episode IMO was Theon for saving Yara successfully! I am glad it was quick and they didn't dwell on it, they dont have time for that. I love that Theon wanted to go be in Winterfell and fight for the Starks! Also that Yara allowed him to go.
THE ARYA AND JON SCENE WAS EVERYTHING. I've been waiting for their reunion FOREVER. I love them. Arya watching Jon, Gendry and the Hound all come in was pretty awesome. GENDRY AND ARYA ARE SO DANG CUTE TOO. They were so flirtatious. I also loved the Hound and Arya scene a lot, totally them.
Jon/Dany were cuter imo when they were getting to know one another. But they had cute scenes in this episode. Jon riding the dragon was awesome. Dany telling Sam the truth about her brother and father! Poor Sam. I felt awful for him. Dany was def. coming off cold in this episode.
Sansa was a tad annoying this episode but I do understand her hesitancy. Loved seeing Sansa and Tyrion reunite. I love that Sansa called him an idiot for trusting Cersei. So true.
Bran continues to be a weirdo lol. But I enjoyed the final moment with Jamie seeing Bran. Finally he has to come to terms with his mistakes. Luckily for him I don't think Bran will really hold anything against him now.
Tormund is alive! The Torumund "Ive always had blue eyes!" scene was hilarious.
I can’t wait for ep 3..
After the northern houses decided they’d rather die than lose their independence, I’m surprised they’re not happy with their former king who bent the knee AFTER the dragon queen pledged her help 😂🤣
Dragon riding scene..Kit Harington got his jewels stuck in the machine, when first aired Jon screamed wai....t, I think that was the time.
Great reaction as always, Sofie! I was waiting on the season 7 History and Lore videos. That has a fantastic section about Aegon's conquest and I was very curios to see your reaction to that. Also please pay no mind to all the negative comments towards this season. Form your own opinion. People take fantasy shows and books way to personal. For all the negative talk about this last season, it has some great moments and I know you will appreciate them.
Get all your laughs and smiles out but remember the greatest line of the show by Ramsey Bolton: “if you think this has a happy ending you haven’t been paying attention”
Hi Sofie I really think you would enjoy the emotional ride of ‘The Last of us’ would love to see you react to that show.
Tyrion become a fool in this two last seasons without the scripture and narrative of George R.R Martin...
He wasn't too far from a fool the entire time in my opinion.
@@MrCzerillo only in his jokes, too immature most of it, in the coherence of his arguments, take of choices, most of the scripts, and through this all, at the end it's alive! In the narrative of Martin, only the cowards and most maquiavelic carachters, lives to the end, but Tyrion make incoherent choices who surprisely, not kill him.
@@MrCzerillo I don't think he's a fool but he's not nearly as smart as he thinks himself to be
The Targs are not the only ones who can ride dragons!
This is a really good ep. Manages to get everything setup. Dany probably feels she has a different relationship with her dragons than what she learned about other dragons and their riders
I started to feel weird about the characters(expecially Daenerys)since this very episode...I'm curious to how can Sophie call it"hilarious"...I don't remember laughing *at all.* 🤨

Hey Sofie! Idk if you're taking recommendations or have these planned at this point, but I was thinking that you might enjoy the cast remembers videos on UA-cam or the cast reunion special on HBO as a nice wrap up to the show :D I personally really love them, and I def recommend at least watching them on your own, but I haven't seen many reactions to them.
I completely understand Sansa's distrust of Dany and fear of the North's position past the Long Night, as much as I understand Jon's complete focus on only the Long Night. It's fun to jump between POVs
Yeah, I can't see many people finding that dragon stunt enduring or wise, especially when you want to convince people you deserve to rule them; And when the woman you need to convince sees you do that stunt; and already has distrust and reservations about you.
The shape the white walkers make does look like the Targaryen symbol, especially when it's on fire. I thought that too.
Moderator's Note: Please hold out a little longer. Our queen has watched all but the last episode. (See her Patreon account) Until then, please avoid any spoilers for the end of the series.
12:20 Dont forget that Daenerys doesnt know anything about the dragon riding bond or anything about dragon lore. She had to learn what she knows by herself. In her mind, she thinks she controls all of them. But she doesnt. Shes only bonded to Drogon, and the other two only ever followed Drogons lead. Yes all 3 see Daenerys as their mother. But she cannot ride or bond with the others. So when she tells Jon to go ahead and ride Rhaegal, she thinks shes "allowing" it. The dragon chooses the rider. And Rhaegal obviously likes Jon lol. I will say this, there was a part of this scene that they cut out, after they land near the waterfall. Jon tells Daenerys that it was strange because it was like Rhaegal knew exactly what and where Jon wanted to go while flying. That tells us that Jon successfully bonded to him.
Tyrion was still her jailor and he's still a Lannister member of the family who killed her parents and brother.
You're right, Jon should never have bent the knee. He already had the support of the annoying dragon queen.
I think when Daenerys told Jon to ride Rhaegal she wasn't expecting him to be able to control him. Jon would just be along for the ride while Rhaegal followed Dany and Drogon. It is strange that she never questioned how he was able to control him and everyone else was so cool with him being on a dragon. I guess it just comes down to the writing quality of this season.
She forgot that dragon riding was a Targaryen thing.
The simbol on the wall is the same simbol of the very first episode 1. It's normal not to remember it.
You don't need to be a Targaryen to ride a dragon. Valyrian blood gives you an advantage though.
Blood of Valyrian Nobility. One of the 42 Dragon Riding Houses. Targaryen is one of them, the rest are Extinct. Hence why, U need Targaryen Blood, Because all other 41 Bloodlines are gone...
Velaryons and Celtigars are not Nobility. They are at Lower level. In Valyira, Order was like this,
1. Dragon Riders - Highest Nobility.
2. Navy holders.
3. Soldier Houses.
@@dineshbalu6107 the vast majority of dragonriders were Targaryens, Targaryen bastards, or Velaryons (so nobility is needed according to who?). That said, the entire foundation of dragon seed corps is based on the fact - recognised by the Targaryens - that you DO NOT have to be a Targaryen to ride a dragon. Sure, you can think that all dragon seeds had some drops of Valyrian blood, but it's not certain in any way, and it is totally a speculation. A speculation of the same credibility as the one theorising that the tale about Targaryens being favoured by dragons is all a lie Targariens made up to consolidate their power, since they were the ones who decided who came in contact with dragons and who did not, so no one could prove them wrong.
Moreover, since Targaryens had lots of bastards, who had in turn lots of bastards, and so on for many generations, anyone in westeros could have Targaryen blood for what Daenerys knows, even Jon. Starks were probably pure blood first men, but not necessary the unknown Jon's mother.
@@mimmo4762 Dude, this isn't any way a Specualation. Grrm literally said this in an Interview alright?
@@dineshbalu6107 Dude, I would really like to read that interview. Also, what characters know is more important than what readers know.
@@dineshbalu6107 Velaryons contain noble blood ever since Corky's and rhaenyra mated. It's the celtigsrs I'm unsure of. However Velaryons definitely have Targaryen blood and ability to ride a dragon.
Anyone with dragons blood can ride a dragon, not just Targaryens.
"Dragons gonna be one of those. You're not my real father, dragons" 🤣
I don't think Cersei drinking wine says anything about whether she's pregnant or not. In our world, at least, the knowledge that alcohol was harmful to the fetus wasn't widespread until the modern era.
Oh! And I thought it was kind of adorable that Jon was riding a dragon named after his biological father.
Nope, she knew. In fact, she avoided drinking wine in front of Tyrion and Jamie to make them believe she was pregnant. Still, she is Cersey: you can't really tell if she is being manipulative, deluding herself or just not caring enough. And for what we know, that could have been grape juice.
@@mimmo4762 It's definitely wine, I think she knows but also knows she's gonna die anyways.
They kinda forgot
Yes, Jon just hopping on a dragon and riding it in front of the entire North raising no questions from anyone is one of the stupidest things ever. It's an amazing scene to watch, but it's indicative of this season's serious failings. 'Check out this spectacle that makes no sense to the story'.
Exactly. All of the highborn characters - including Jon - have learned both Valyrian and Targ history and would know that being able to ride a dragon means Jon has a Valyrian ancestor (and most likely a close relative).
I don't think so
Jon came back from death for the fak sake .. them knowing the story ..can we blame them
@@zenymath Yes, we can. It was a huge indicator that D&D hadn't referenced the source material for years.
If dragons had been gone for 8000 like the White Walkers, then maybe dragons would have faded into the vagueness of lore.
But it is not at all believable that these educated characters from the most prominent families in the Realm don't know Westerosi history from 150 years ago - and a major civil war! (The Dance of Dragons, which HotD is based on).
To add to it, many of these characters - Tyrion, Varys, and the Starks (including Jon) were obsessed with the Targs in their own ways. (Tyrion has consumed every book on Dragons he could get his hands on, Varys came from Essos to serve (bring down?) the Targs, the Starks spent their childhood pretending to be Targs. Even the small folk have their dragon tales.) Sam was just overall well-read. And Davos learned to read using Targ history books.
No one questioning Jon's dragon ride - not even a small group of 2-3 "smart" characters having a quiet discussion about the possibility that Jon had a Valyrian ancestor - is ridiculous.
The interactions between Sansa and Daenerys in this chapter are like:
Sansa: There's not enough food, the men aren't happy with your decisions, Jon.
Daenerys: Oh yeah? Well, I have big dragons.
The spiral symbol in Castle Umber is the same as was shown on top of the Fist of the First Men after the attack - following Sam, Grenn, and Dolores Edd fleeing from gathering shite for fire...
I can't wait for your reaction to the remainder of the season/show. Please watch House of the Dragon when you're done!

Will you be reacting to the history and lore for Season 7? It's a good one called Conquest and Rebellion.
When the season and the series is done, please watch Ryan George's Game of Thrones Season 8 Pitch Meeting. It is a funny take on the season. It is heavy with spoilers so please wait until you have finished with GoT! In the meantime, the look on Drogon's face when Jon Snow is kissing Daenerys is the same look that a large dog might give when another human kisses their human! That was well done and your reaction was perfect! I am looking forward to the next one!
bran in last scene just try to feel something
I am glad you noticed that about Sansa. Seems like everyone is so concerned with Danni becoming the mad queen like her father. And no one seems to notice Sansa becoming the next Cersie.
All indications are Dany did not bring supplies, which is hers and Jon's responsibilities , so Sansa is correct to be a tad annoyed.
The host should supply the upkeep and Dany already supplied the army and 2 dragons without it they would be doomed.
@@yusufraage8554 Sansa already supplies the upkeep, Dany and Jon are responsible for the needs of their army and WMD.
Arya and Jon the most underwhelming reunion ever lol I DIDNT FEEL IT like i felt Sansa and Jons
One of the greatest mistakes Daenerys makes is letting Jon ride of her dragons and letting the entirety of the north see it.
You will soon understand why?
The Dragons are for the Targaryens and are the reason Daenerys has power and fear over her subjects
What about the season 7 history and Lord reaction.
Hello!
Welcome to the final 3 seasons all mashed up into 1 half season... Enjoy it for what it is. Thats all anyone is able to do.
I don't think Sansa is as smart as they claim. I think Dany came in with too much attitude. But everything this season is rushed. Poor Sam. Dany was mean when she told him about his father and brother.
I don't think anyone is smart, from what the writers wrote

HISTORY AND LORES SEASON 7
I mean we all look at Daenerys like she is great because we have known her from the start because we know what she has done. But truthfully she isn’t from that country she has never been there and she is there acting as if it were her right when the seven kingdoms had literally fought all her family for the horrible things they did. So in the eyes of all this people she is a woman from a different country who’s family was horrible and that is acting as if all this is hers without doing yet anything for it, and even when she does she is just still a conqueror because the north fought and suffered for their independence, so really she could be the best queen in the world and they wouldn’t care because they are independent and they hate that she is helping them just to keep the north as a kingdom. In the end she is just a conqueror doing conqueror things like for example kings in Europe did. If she had stay in Essos she would be a great queen chosen by her people, but the people in the seven kingdoms didn’t choose her, they just fear the dragons, making her just us bad in their eyes as cercei.
I totally agree with everything you said.
It's deffinetly feels rushed.
They should play Stark theme song when Jon and Arya reunited.
Jon should bent the knee when everything is over so the northern people can see if Daenerys worth served or not.
Thyreon used to be smarter but now he's not.
And someone should sit on the iron thorne probablly beetwen Daenerys or Jon but we all know what's happened😖
Night king deserved to sit on it. No human deserved to be King. People always forget that the White Walkers are and we’re human and we’re turned they didn’t choose to be that way.
19:00 T-T
They were never able to finish the things they started and that's just fact.
I really do not like the intro of season 8 (and when I saw it I thought it was a red flag). Regarding this episode: well, yes, it definitely gives sitcom vibes.
Btvs?
This is all so frustrating, because of course if Jon told Sansa about all of this, or told them about each other, they'd have found their common ground!!
Not true that ONLY Targaryen's can ride dragons.. There have been others who can as well in Old Valerya. Also in House of the Dragon.
She knows about The Doom, that's the obvious part, and yeah, it's only Targaryens who can ride dragons, especially in HotD, this is what Dany also believes at least, that's why it's nonsensical of her letting Jon ride, and conveniently the dragons are bigger and docile than ever, especially Drogon who should be harder to control at that size and without any sorcery like they had in Old Valeria, and is Rhaegal bonded to Jon now? you would think so...
@@jamesmswenko8292 Velaryons and future random mercenaries in HotD would not agree with you. And no, its impossibile for Daenerys to believe only Targaryens can, simply because there were so many not-Targaryens riding dragons during the civil war that she would have had to not read a single history book and not heard a single folk tale in her entire life.

5:05 Yeah don't try to make any sense in this season. It will just hurt your brain
I understand Sansa's feelings about Jon bending the knee to Daenerys. But it seems that few people ever see it from Sansa's viewpoint. Her fans have been watching her journey since season 1. But Sansa doesn't know her. All she sees is that Jon did exactly what Robb did. Both her brothers went South, fell in love, and lost the North. Jon bent the knee to a woman he barely knows. I'd be wary of Daenerys, too.
As for the response, "Anything they want", Winter is here. In Winter, which will last for years, there's no harvesting of crops, so the huge army that comes to Winterfell will be taking valuable resources away from people who would starve. Sansa totally had the right to question her about feeding her army and her dragons. Daenerys, who burned the harvest from the Reach instead of bringing it to feed her own army. And since dragons eat only meat, that means that they'll be eating the livestock, too.
And if Daenerys claims the North as one of her seven kingdoms, why does she keep calling it "Jon's war?"
Deanerys came with 2 dragons 2 armies without her the north wouldnt survive even if you dont know someone you give them respect when they are saving you.
Sansa is maybe not always making most sense in the overall picture, like you said, focusing too much on what comes after the war, but she is behaving like a true Lady of Winterfell here. Her only concern is what is going to become of the North and its people, how are the Northerners feeling and how can they hold them united. I can see a lot of her mother in her. She would have been suspicious about Daenerys as well.
Except in real life there is always someone or group tasked with exactly what Sansa is doing, planning for the future, survival and change.
Planning for the future doesnt make sense when you're being rescued from the the NIght King.
will you react to the last of us? 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Dont bother pointing out every plot hole this season, it will make the reactions way too long
Hilariously bad?
Dany who came to help with the hungry dragons and with her army. Sansa's face🙃
Sansa: What do dragons eat anyway?
Dany: Whatever they want
A lot of people love Sansa, the way she grew up and all that... but out of all the Starks, I don't love her that much. You know what will happen next...
There is so much cringe in this episode so thank you for that "you're not my real father, type dragons" comment! The dialogue is so stilted and awkward. The North claimed independence with Robb saying they bowed only to the dragons before but the Long Night should be the main issue here so maybe being all b*tchy to the dragon lady isn't the best way to play the game of survival and thrones.
