22:00 The Constitution is the foundational law of the state, it is not a pair of curtains in the Oireachtas that we vote on choppin n changing every year or two just because of the whims of fashion victim politics & greedy self serving, dishonest politicians & their media mouthpieces. There's is absolutely nothing in the Irish constitution that is not egalitarian & democratic, unless you insist upon taking it out of context with the ambition of relegating it to the status of a being a meaningless historical document that we can rewrite each n every time lobbyists pay the government enough to introduce a bill on their behalf. The language in question is not sexist, it is compassionate & it recognises the societal value of the work the primary care giver in the home does. It just so happens the article was written in 1937, not 2017 & a few unforeseen outlying societal anomalies exist now that didn't exist then. Unenumerated constitutional rights have been recognised in the Supreme Court, & other express rights, in particular equality before the law, are mentioned in the Constitution which make a mockery of any accusation of sexist language or misogynistic attitudes.
What I’d imagine going for a few pints after a Saturday afternoon PBP workshop would sound like.
