- Thanks for stopping by. Always been a kick ass track. I originally covered this in 2018 but it was in need of a redo with some better layering and mixing than the old version.
Used Moises AI app to remove original guitars so all guitars you hear are mine.
Liked the little whammy bar squeals getting higher in the lead up to Matt's solo.

Hey Curtis, when doing Trivium rhythms are you dual tracking rhythm guitars or do you Quad track the rhythms?

For rhythm guitars just double track. One hard Left and one hard Right. In some cases I mess with the panning slightly.
On a side note there’s those chugs you hear in the second verse which are just the Left guitar track edited to pan centre of the mix and EQed different for just those chugs to achieve a result similar to the original track

Yo Curtis just outta curiosity how much volume do you set the drums,bass,and vocals on the Moises app cuz I’m actually tryna work on getting better with my covers and you inspire me a lot💪💪
I leave the level of the drums and bass the same, I’ll lower the vocal track volume a smidge for the guitars to sit better to as it’s originally always the vocal track that is the most prominent track in the mix of a song, but not low enough that it doesn’t feel like an instrumental and still like the normal song. Removing the guitars may take some of the bass frequencies too so you’ll have to beef up your guitars low end to make up for some of the bass that gets removed. The bass track is still usable but because of how guitars and bass are mixed especially in metal the app is going to associate some of those lower frequencies with guitars.
