Your life in Sydney suits you. You seem so happy and excited in these last videos 🙂 Spending time with others in Sydney is networking and often the best possible jobs come from people referring you. You've got this!
rejection is the absolute worst i felt you completely on this one, so sorry that you got stood up like that lydia. i dealt with about 50 odd rejections before finding the job i’m in now, never feeling like i was going to have a job again and i was going to be left unemployed or without any kind of future. but sure enough the right thing came along and i got the job! i’m sure the right thing will find you and you’ll be so happy it did, your efforts are incredible and the vlog was 10/10 as usual 🫶🏻
I love following your vlogs. This video touches on one of the questions that's been on my mind for a while - how do people afford to travel full time? You're traveling a lot now, and I remember your quote "don't be afraid to travel". Traveling is something I love doing, but finances, working 9-5, and raising a family are keeping me back from traveling as much as I'd like to. If possible, can you do a video on how you afford to travel as much as you do? For example, how you guys work while traveling, any tips on getting deals on air tickets and accommodation etc.
Sid and I both worked during our time at university, so our travels are mostly funded by our savings, plus our income from our self-employment now. For air tickets I'd always recommend using Skyscanner on incognito mode, and Booking.com on mobile for their mobile-only deals! x
Lydia, you literally look like you belong here after England NGL. This looks like more of your city than the other places you have lived before. In Europe, it was the Boujee Lydia era but here it is more of like the settling for now era if this makes sense😂
When I lived in Germany I once had an interview scheduled, I turned up and the manager wasn't there and had forgotten she had an interview with me. We rescheduled for the next day and I ended up getting the job, but in the end it was the worst job I've ever had, the manager was awful and made me work without a contract. I was there for about a month and I asked every single week for the contract. She shouted at me after she told me to clean a specific room (it was a hotel job) and the guest got annoyed I was cleaning it and a few days later on my day off I emailed her asking for the contract again and she finally sent it to me - only to send me a termination of my contract half an hour later! 😳 So it's maybe a blessing in disguise for you - if they can't be bothered to turn up for an interview or even call to reschedule, run. 😅
Hi Lydia, sorry to hear that your interviewer didn't show up, but, as frustrating as it is, job haunting takes time. Just trust yourself, you've got a huge experience and great capabilities as well as a beautiful soul! Things are gonna be okay, I am sure. And you come across as really happy and at ease in Sydney with these new friends and a supportive partner...keep going❤
marketing/advertising jobs are impossible at the moment - i've been applying (sending emails into a void!!) since November 2022 and coincidentally got an offer TODAY - you will get there x
Good luck with your job hunting! I've been applying for jobs since June 2023 and it's not fun. 😂🙈 A lot just ignore me or reject me straight away. 🤡 I definitely think you should still go out and enjoy yourself because honestly it can get so demotivating and demoralising looking for jobs all the time. It's good to take a break and do something else to take your mind off things. 😌
please please don’t forget the sunscreen!! uv rays in australia are seriously not a joke!! there’s a reason that the country has the highest rate of skin cancer cases in the whole world 🫢 please stay safe 🫶🏻
I've been to Melbourne when we travelled the east coast in summer 2022 and loved it there!! although I'm really enjoying Sydney beaches during the summer xx
hahah you don't need to be a multi-millionaire to travel!! I still earn money from social media, I'm just looking for another job alongside it as I don't like doing it full time (I spoke more about this in the first Australia vlog)

I thought you were a multi millionaire because you're always travelling? I'm confused that you're looking for a job now?!
