This is great content. Thought it was just going to be recs for skills. As a vet tanker, a lot of this was review, but thoughtfully and concisely presented. Zero to Hero guide here!
Another shining display of QB's community support. Pumping out a video like this is epic, nearly an hour. Thank you Sir William for such a valuable addition to WOT players. Cheers.
Oh wow man! Yes thank you for this video you taught me so many things that I didn't even know about took a huge amount of effort but much appreciated you did a great job trying to explain something super complicated That's genius! Your technique for grinding a normal crew skill in your tank FIRST that actually is useful before it reaches 100% and THEN when it does reach like 98% or so RESET the skill to get almost 100% brothers in arms without being completely uncompetitive during the process that's brilliant! I had no idea you could even do that or atleast I never thought about trying it! 10/10 huge thumbs up from me!
This is why QB has been the most successful WoT content creator for 10+ years. I've played the game for more than 10 years and never knew these crew reset tricks. You sir, need a a British OBE title! Thank you for all your educational videos
Awesome video. As someone who's been playing for many many years, I definitely learned a few things I had overlooked. This old dog has learned quite a few new tricks now. Thanks QB.
Small addition for the Accelerated Crew Training segment (14:24); be aware how relevant the crew member you're boosting is, or will become. A good example of a bad situation would probably be most Radio Operators in general, but the Chinese tech-tree specifically; tier 6 is the farthest you'll ever need a dedicated Radio Operator, referring to either the tech-tree medium Type 58, or the premium light Type 64. If you then try to use the Type 64 for crew training, that Radio Operator will likely suck up most-if-not-all of that accelerated training, for absolutely no future benefit. Except the only alternatives aren't ideal either; vehicle exp (limited field mods on a tier 6) or using gold -> free experience. Best to just use any other tank (Type 62 / M41D) instead, if available.
QB… Sometimes you can be such a pain with live gameplay BUT it’s moments like this that remind me why I subscribed to your channel. Awesome explanation of your applied knowledge and I leaned a bit from your sharing. Much appreciated and keep up the great work. 🤙🏻
Same. And it just shows how convoluted and confusing the whole system is. No wonder WG has been trying to simplify it with Crew 2.0. But I think a major change like that is _too late_ for this game. They'd be better of working on a whole new game, with a better system.
Thanks! This video definitely took some effort, thanks for taking the time to explain the most complicated part of this game imo. I've played for years and I still learned a few things!
Having Awareness as a built in thing now makes me want to actually play other tanks in the line and train another crew as opposed to unlock/sell/retrain the same crew up to the ladder. I feel it's really opened up things for more casual players.
It's also a MAJOR nerf for arty players..... all those previously unaware stationary targets, spotted by scouts, now get the chance to move. Which sucks, since the shell flight time for arty is often longer than the activation time for the Target's Perk, even more so with long range shots.
@@GrinnenBaeritt were there so many players above tier 6 without sixth sense? I'm not sure... Besides good arty players don't need stationary targets to influence the game.
@@attitipoco More than you might think... but now those that did now have sound detection as well. As if a huge obvious tracer isn't enough of a clue...
Damn... I was playing WoT for more than a decade by now and I still learned something new about ways of reducing the cost for training the crew... Awesome work!
Thanks, Quicky Baby Lots of help for us older players who fell like newbies. I will have to spend more time in the garage then in the battle making changes to my crews. maybe I will get some better win ratios. Great job as always. A big hello from across the pond in Canada!
I have been playing WOT on and off for a long while. But, after watching this specifically skills and perks, I have realized I am my own worst enemy. Now to fix what I have been playing with. I wish I could simply clean the slate and start new but! EXCELLENT AUDIO. This video should be mandatory viewing for all new players!!
It is something I need to spend a rainy Saturday afternoon sorting out - it's a bit like DIY I keep putting it off and look for more fun things to do. Good video.
Its funny how I started watching your channel. It was when I found your original crew skills video since I had no idea what was going on. Fast foward many years and I have watched nearly all your videos. Glad to see the updated version but I bought back the memory of the first time I found your content
Thanks for actually touching on SPGs in this vid. Yeah, it was only brief but other WoT-streamers just ignore the class unless they're spitting on them. In a heavy SPG like the G.W. E-100 I'd even consider one loadout with spall liners. If you get into a map with 3 SPG or very few spots to be effective from, it really helps with counter-battery.
I agree, it's a shame that WG hasn't noticed the fact that about half the gunners skills are basically useless. They should really make "Dead-eye" work differently for different shell-types, rather than simply making it not work with HE. Perhaps enhanced burst radius, or reduced shell flight time. Have to admit, the spall liners do help now, but the GW's fairly resilient regardless... I personally like boosting the ability to receive a ram...and in French arty, do the ramming.. ;)
As someone who has played for around a decade, I have heard of all of the skills and perks, but never knew the exact percentages that the skills and perks give, along with some hidden information about some of them, so thanks QB.
I've got at least 11 years of playing this game and its still just nice to listen anyways. good job on looking out for newer players, since no one else is *ahem wg*
I've said this before, but I would like this video twice if I could. Thank you so much. Great knowledge here, and I appreciate the time you spent laying it out.
I dont play this game. I havent played in many years due to the outrageous and contineous bad descision WG take, howerver i watch every single video because i just love your commentary, analysis and overal your complete honesty with us despite the game being the vehicle of your channel, for that i think we all owe you a thanks mate keep it up!
best guide qb, i like to see a good player without using premium ammo and the impact of that in high tiers financially and what the best tactic for that
a good watch for beginners in WoT, especially the first part where you talk about resets or how you move crews from one tank to another and lose as little as possible (which i believe you also made a short guide about way back, linked that down in the description for ppl who just want to know about that specific trick would've been nice)
I thought I didn't need this but I'm learning new things and not even half way done the video. TY QB for making this 'quirky' crew system more digestible.
Good job QB, I would just like to add a comment on the resetting the crew skills and moving the crew to another tank. This is sometimes useful when you have BIA crew with second skill/perk at under 50%. If you retrain the crew that way, they will be at 90% percent in a new tank, but with a working BIA perk.
DUDE, THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!.... I loved watching this video and undestanding some of the game mechanics about picking skills and hearing from you what you think about the different perks and skills for different classes and tiers. I'm still very new to the game, (at this point about a month in) and I feel that I'm quite behind the curve but I'm excited to learn and come up be quite competitive. Thanks for your streams, your videos, and everything you've done to help me, whether you know it or not, by providing me a skilled example and taking your time to also explain what you're doing. I don't know if it was mentioned, but there is one thing I didn't realize for a long time: the premium/reward vehicles can train your crew when it is below 100% basic training. Speed it up even more by putting it on accelerated training, put only one sub-100 crew member at a time, use a commander with Mentor, and all the rest of the crew with experience. Rotating them out this way, will actually be faster than trying to do the same thing with the whole crew. Your stats won't suffer anywhere nearly as badly. Also, you can train crew members up for vehicle you haven't yet got (but have researched)...

Thanks so much for this! I feel bad commenting not watching the video, but I'll watch it later, and I know I'm going to be getting the most competitive and effective choices! :)
Thanks, QB this helped me a lot and I already shared it with my new (ish) WOT player friends.. It was too hard to explain to them one by one. Thanks for covering this up.. I would like to have a video about game Settings.. What is better to improve the gameplay.. In your latest videos, you mentioned Dynamic Camera Settings.. Please talk or write about intuition on auto reloaders like the Progetto 46, i had to learn the hard way that it is a wasted perk.
Amazing guide. Thank you! It should be pinned top place on every WG forum and Reddit.
dont even play WOT anymore and still watch most of your video's, still entertaining!! thanks QB for the last 8+ years that iv been watching

Yep or at 141% (1.41 skills) to have 1 full perk after reset(like bro in arms). Then restart skill learning again.

Ty QB I didn't know about the Dynamic Camera and had been playing with it on since I don't know when lol. It was a whole new experience with it off.
very. very well done. A masterwork tutoria must-to-have for beginners, and a precious recap for veterans.

Appreciate the timestamps! I've been playing for a long time, but it's still nice to hear your opinion on all the skills and their use cases.

Im a Veteran, but a few things i didnt know already, many and awesome thx for that vid, QB
This is a really great video ideal for showing us newer players what skills to use and the tips on crew reset was especially great for me.

Thanks Mr. QB for this video! 👍
I’m a recent returner, so this vid will go in my consult regularly file. 👍🏼
If I would have known these tricks 10 years ago for sure I would have an extra skill on every crew member I have. Great information Sir!
Finally i was waiting for a guide for skills for new players thank you QB
I need this video very much QB. Thanks to upload this video. You are my favorited content creator.
Ngl this is just so freaking useful, imma save it for lifetime so I could rewatch it

Thank you!
Thanks for all the work you put into this video.
Thanks for this seminar! Very clear

I put you on my Conqueror QB. I have to say, it honestly feels like it makes me play better :3 Greetings from the Americas!
Great video QB. Thanks!
haven't started watching this vid but in this video he can talk alot about intuition
THIS IS THE BEST GUIDE EVER!!!!! WHY wargaming hasn't done this yet I'll never know!!!

I don't know if it was mentioned, but there is one thing I didn't realize for a long time: the premium/reward vehicles can train your crew when it is below 100% basic training.

Rotating them out this way, will actually be faster than trying to do the same thing with the whole crew. Your stats won't suffer anywhere nearly as badly. Also, you can train crew members up for vehicle you haven't yet got (but have researched)...
Great in-depth guide, very much liked it. Congrats!
Hudge chunk of knowledge, thank you :)

Thank You So Much for This!

Excellent summary :) thank you so much!
Great video QB, thank you for putting it together. Lots of tweaking to do on my crews now, oh the pain. XD
These kinds of valuable comments will help me and others. (especially new players)..
Thank you. Now for another Master Class!
ONE OF THE BEST VIDS YOU EVER MADE!!!
Excellent work.
This was great , will try to change or better train my TD Crew's . Thank you :))

Thx qb I commented about it on a video that you released a few days ago and am ecstatic you took the time to do it for us
Good video, so helpful. Thanks.
