It's so amazing how you used to play in so many positions! Setter, Right side hitter and then as our favorite Libero! Congratulations on hitting the 1 year milestone:) Thank you so much for making these videos~ I really enjoyed all of them! Your videos are really what I look forward to watch every week. As a Non-volleyball player, you really educate us fans about this amazing sport! Have a great year playing in Poland! Please stay healthy, safe and injury-free! With love and support from Thailand:)
I remember seeing this video when it first came out on the mckibbin brothers channel and instantly thinking it would be super exciting to see you reacting to it!!! I'm pretty sure the team is a choice team from a specific prefecture and not from one club/highschool, but I can't remember where specifically
Jp's team really thought to opt for a lot of speed and defense. They knew power and height wouldn't cut it so they switched tactics and went aggressive with it.
4:41 good blocks aren't only the ones that stuff or deflect, but also the ones that direct where the opponent is going to hit (not sure if that's what your blocks did to the hitter)
It's always fun to seeing you reacting your high school matches Erik. And I can't believe it too that you're amazing as a setter. And seeing your progress from high school until now IS AMAZINGG!
Honestly this isn't a real clickbait because the japanese highschool team they actually play somewhat like haikyuu because of their lack of height, so they need to run multiple plays with crossing patterns to balance out the height diference
Congratulations for reaching this milestone with your channel! I hope you keep making these videos for really long time! We have so much fun watching volleyball matches with you. And we get to know the game of volleyball better. Hoping for a long and fun journey ahead!
Congrats on one year! I've been playing highschool volleyball for a year, and it's really fun to see you scrutinize some of your plays that look fine at first glance to me.
Happy anniversary Erik for your youtube channel! Even though I know you and your channel from March 2021 but my love n support always be there for you Erik❤
hey erik, i just wanted to thank you for your message to the boys volleyball team of upland high school last season during the cif semifinals, i had no idea your dad went there! im currently training to be a libero there this upcoming season, and right now we are looking better than ever. i just wanted to thank you because i love watching your videos for insight and how i can do better in game in terms of strategy and whatnot, so these are my go to! i'll be watching you in poland, good luck!
Looking at this I can see the difference between highschool levels in Canada and in the U.S. I feel so far behind compared to you guys but this also really motivates me. This video was a blast to watch and I hope ,one day, I can compete at a level like yours. You're a legend Erik.
Haha I was laughing when you said you were sweating, but you did an amazing job reviewing this. I cannot even look at my college photos without being embarrassing. BTW, is there a chance you can do a training day video in Zaksa?
Congrats on the anniversary! 🎉🎉 Thank you sharing so much fun & exciting volleyball with us. I think we all definitely appreciate the insights you bring! and nice win to start the PlusLiga season! do you know if/where we can watchback the matches?
I love seeing games because i see how they spike, and i am a spiker, but my setter belive that i don't know how to spike with a jump, so im not jumping but i wanna because it Feels so good, it feels Powerful!
Thanks for providing content and educating us. As I said on the Out of System interview with you, liberos are so lucky today. OG defensive specialists/serving specialists were really limited by the substitution rule for playing time. And there was very little opportunity to see professional volleyball.
I just laugh whenever you're embarrassed and you scold your younger-self, Erik! 😂😂😂 Also, im new to your channel, are you japanese, with the Shoji last name?
Ive played volleyball in high school but it was a very simple thing with only the 2 in the front attacking and a hit from the 6 every now and then. In professional level, does the setter communicates who he's gonna pass to and the ones we see jumping are just to fake the block or are all the players constantly ready and jumping just in case the setter decides to send the ball to them?
Hello, I would like to ask you a question, how do you train your reflexes ?, that is, to lift strong shots or fast plays. Greetings from Mexico, I love your videos.
1 year !!!!!???!?! Nice job i wish I could play on a team but i have to wait 1 year and 1 term cause my dad does not let me play volleyball on a team because I already do horse riding and he says that it horse riding or volleyball so i end up setting the ball the he’s face when he say that cause my 15 sister teaches me how to play cause she play and goes to tournament and was going to go to country’s this year but got canceled so she been teaching me how to play and end up getting hit in the head by her and then i have a friend who has been playing volleyball for a 1 or 2 now and she teaches me at school and now i teach this kid at my school how to play
Hello Eirik! I have a question. I was watching a video of you reacting to a match with Hawaii from 2020. And i was thinking "Oh sweet! Jakob is probably in this match! And the you only called him" the setter" and i am wondering. Do you actually know his name?
@Erik Shoji Yeah thats his name! I just had to ask because he is the only person from my country that has ever been in your video! I have another question if its ok for me to ask. What do you think of beach volleyball?
Happy anniversary Erik for your youtube channel! Even though I know you and your channel from March 2021 but my love n support always be there for you Erik❤
erik reacting to other players: "great technique" *throws pen*
erik reacting to himself: why are my socks so low
but seriously my socks?!!! what were those!

thank you so much for your support and for watching! 🤍
Omg, Thank you for you reply🥰
Erik really reminds me of Yaku san from Haikyu.
“Why am I so hunched over on defence? ...Why are my socks so low?!?!” Lol
Happy anniversary Erik!! thank you for a year of entertainment and volleyball knowledge!!

I'm pretty sure the team is a choice team from a specific prefecture and not from one club/highschool, but I can't remember where specifically
17:45 It’s interesting, that his excitement in high school is the same as now in matches. He just turns around with that face
Jp's team really thought to opt for a lot of speed and defense. They knew power and height wouldn't cut it so they switched tactics and went aggressive with it.

Did no one notice that insane Haikyuu-like pass at 9:43? I had to replay it in slow-mo like 5 times 😂 You had a cool high school team.
The volleyball clickbait meta is the funniest
Honestly this isn't a real clickbait because the japanese highschool team they actually play somewhat like haikyuu because of their lack of height, so they need to run multiple plays with crossing patterns to balance out the height diference

congrats and thanks for the year’s program and sharing!
hey erik how do you form your hands when you dig/bump a ball? does the hand formation matter
I was wondering what type of shoes you'll recommend to play with ?
Nike! check out athleteps.com!
I just laugh whenever you're embarrassed and you scold your younger-self, Erik! 😂😂😂

normally all the players will go and run the route in case the setter sets them. the setter won’t tell the hitters who they will set.
I love your videos!
Late to this but congrats Erik !!
U cracked me up. “ Eric can’t block”😂😂😂
Hello Eric what do you think is the most important thing to become a professional volleyball Player?
I think your skills need to be strong enough to compete so lots and lots of practice!
@@ErikShojivolleyball thank you for your advice!
One year anniversary hype!
I think you look so fricking cool in the first clip where you are playing pro where you said cringe
Wow such intense plays
Thank you so much Eric….btw can you please react to Francesco Recine of Italy next….He’s really blown me away😊
Cant believe it’s been a year

Whoever trained Japan trained them well I say.
Whoever trained the Hawaiians trained them even better.

Yes I am here now! :)
Man then this is going to be another great year for zaksa and wishing you all the best and congrats for 1 year in youtube have fun😁😁

How do you recognize yourself on the court so fast. Sometimes I can't see myself even when I'm one of the only black people on my team. 🤨

she’s so good!
Wait I watched this video on their channel I forgot you were on this game 🤣😂
well based on this video i was easily forgettable hahaha
How the system of volleyball leagues and competitions works, because many players who played in Tokyo played in other championships after 2 weeks.
im not sure i understand your question. after the national team system players go to their professional club teams.
Thanks Mr. Shoji
I just subscribed 😊
One year👁👄👁 wow
Hi Erik! I wanted to know where you can order clothes like your Nike volleyball? Thanks!!
athleteps.com!
If your block is "barely above the net" what does that make someone like me who's blocking at 5' 8". 😅
Are u still doing ncaa women matches ? You should do Louisville vs Texas 2019
K, I'm new here, so, my questions are:
Where r u from?
Where can I watch ur games?
Can we please get ben patch and his amazing highlights 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
So where is this Spencer guy now and is he still playing?
Spencer played with me at Stanford, then played a pro 2 seasons I believe. he is now coaching at UCLA!
