Awesome to see the Statue de la Liberte patch. Wore it on my uniform back in 1978-80. RAF Lakenheath was my first assignment out of tech school.
Used to get f1-111s from lakenheath regularly at manston in UK
Great video, Time has changed. I was there in 75 crew chief on F4's. My best experience on and off base. Base commander was Col. Joe Kittinger who was very respected and a Great person.

I live a few miles from R.A.F. Lakenheath (LN) where 3 squadrons of F15s are based, I hear them take off everyday. Awesome aircraft.

I am so proud of our men and women of the military, especially the Air Force since I served in the AF stationed at Nellis AFB Las Vegas from 1984 to 1988. Loved it there, we had a lot of different aircraft but a lot of F-15's and F-16's.
I am so happy and proud to see an all women crew. I served with a lot of great women during my time in the military. God Bless you all.

I was stationed at Nellis from '85-'88. Actually 4477th TES, TTR. Do you remember when the used to televise Red Flag all over the base? You could watch it while at the BX!

These female pilots are tough and they had to do it better than anyone else to get those wings and has earned my respect ., 1976 i seen some of the 1st female pilots in the Navy HC squadrons in the NAVY. They are good pilots I never feared their competency I was flying with them. Great aviators!
Actually I know in the RAAF the women pilots are often not good enough to get through but are pushed through in the name of ‘diversity’ at the expense of a better male pilot.

Dad was 1st MAW Vietnam, and for many years stationed on Okinawa in the late 70's early 80's. He ALWAYS took care of his flight crew and especially the Plane Captain (usually a Corporal who my dad always said were the backbone of the Corps). He would pass on 🚬 and 🍺 and always looked after their well being. Dad was buried at Miramar a few years back as a full Colonel. A retired Gunny that worked with my dad called him a Marine's Marine. So while there may be no official fraternization from "pilot's country", there are unofficial ways to show respect to the enlisted ranks.

Question from an aviation Navy guy, can someone explain why 241 when taxiing ( at 7:51 in the video) still had safety pin/flags dangling from it.....
So true. I was looking to see if anyone else saw them too. Someone had to answer to that.
EOR (End of Runway) crews pull all the pins just before take off. That's SOP for U.S. Air Force.
weapons pins as well as pins for chaff, flare and guns, pulled at EOR check
TO BROTHERS MADE US ABELE TO FLIGHT. THEY MADE WORLD HISTORY.
I was in another plane going home when I heard the National Guard F-15-E take off. Straight up after the end of the runway! That Bad Boy was about 500 feet away and those Twin Engines go push that Pilot into a 9G Happy place. F100 and never look a Gift Horse in the mouth.
