Another nice video John. Nice that you showed and explained a bit about the coins. So much to learn and love. Also another great bundle you received for your collections. Great video John, as a metal detecting enthusiast, i loved the coins. I have a large amount of coins that i have accumulated over the years. The silver content of coins fell to 50 percent in 1920 until 1947 when they became nickel. I also have some groats ( 4d) and half groats (2d) in my collection. Still waiting to find the gold guineas and sovereigns. Looking forward to the next one

Another very interesting video John. Your coverage on pre-decimal coins got me thinking that I have bags of 'bobs' plus others in my garage somewhere. Will have a look for them at the weekend. I am a bit older than you and remember the half penny, penny, bob, shilling etc as pocket money from my granny on a Friday🙂

I had a toy till (cash register) with plastic coins from the 1960s as a kid, so I learned about these "strange" old coins at an early age. I distinctly remember the shillings and 5 pence and the Florins and 10 pence coins being in use in the 1970s alongside each other. That all disappeared when the smaller 5p and 10p coins came into circulation.

Nice video but I'm pretty confused about why anyone would use a whole presentation pack as a mount for something completely unrelated (US bicentennial)
