I'm not into euphoria, but I will tell you as a teenager, sometimes you just have that anger inside you, but since nobody is coming to argue with you or continue the convo, you go to them just to vent and instigate stuff. And then they either leave again angry, or they just stand there looking at their parents in silence, waiting for a response. Eventually after a few moments you just give up and go to your room and make up with your parents. And I say this cause....my friends have told me about it...👀👀👀

But I think what she's trynna do is to make Lexi appear more like that to make herself look better. Also, by "let's talk about rue". Like, especially since she brought up the "she's literally a drug addict!" When Maddy found out, she's trying to make a point that what she did was nothing compared to how rue is a junkie. And their mother isn't doing anything to help either of them, she's not involved in their lives and just lays the blame on them and gets annoyed with them because they're disturbing her drinking and her tv.
She's a terrible mother to both her daughters and somehow people are calling it 'tough love'.

Then when it's her turn to get her delusional ass called out she runs away in her room like a toddler and screams shut the fuck up shut up your so annoying shut up after screaming shit in your face like a hyena for hours.
Its hard living with manipulative adult toddlers. My dad will give me a compliment or discuss a plan of action for what I need done and she will butt in and insult him on purpose knowing he will stop giving me attention get angry and go downstairs to avoid her warpathathic ass, her jealousy is nauseating. Sorry for venting she use to beat on me for fun like a psycho growing up and now she can't cause I'm physically stronger but I swear when she throws tantrums I need to find the will of God not to resort to getting physical angry people really make atmospheres miserable for everyone around them.

I would think of all people, cassie would be the most empathetic towards rue and her struggling balancing her mental health issues, the death of her father and her addiction with her having an alcoholic mother and an absent dad who then became addicted to painkillers after a road accident whom she helped steal things from their house to pay for HIS substance abuse (its also hinted that he may be dead already, but thats just speculation). Even though Cassie messed up hooking up with Nate and hiding it, Rue had no business doing her like that. Cassie had every right to diss Rue for that, shes entitled to be angry too.
Theres a real double standard in this fandom that I'm noticing. Rue was in a manic state when she did what she did, but who's to say cassie isnt battling something herself? She ended the previous semester having had an abortion and coming to terms that everyonevthinks shes a slut and is humiliated by everyone she knows. Shes had to resort to screwing a total asshole like nate and screw over her best friend (which was dumb af) but still. Everyone in this show is going through stuff, that's the whole point. And each character in their own right is entitled to their feelings. If anything it's more messed up how cassie was so nice to Rue only for rue to shit on her by outing and embarrassing her in front of everyone. Drug addict or not, I'd be made about that too.

Maybe with less cussing and screaming, but it did feel real in the sense of context given (boyfriend issues, etc). She also seems guilty and is acting selfishly about said boyfriend, a stubbornness that once again I've seen in teens. Plus I assume she comes from a home with addictions present, so that adds believably to her behavior.

    • @agenttheater5

@@Blast2224 I think with Cassie it's the fact that he was there and could've called but chose not to, and that she felt that that was on par with him dying or possibly worse because Rue's dad dying meant he had no choice in the matter. Rue lost her dad because something out of anyone's control or ability to choose, Cassie lost her dad because of the choices he made. Like you said, neither Rue or Cassie wanted to confront the reality of what had or was happening, so Rue took painkillers to make herself forget or to dull the pain and Cassie tried rewriting the story to make it better than it actually was. I think Cassie feels like she her father not calling them is something that separates her from everyone else so she created a similarity between her and Rue's situations to create some sort of connection with others.
