Finally an American/ Canadian that makes simple sense of the panel

Thank you Patrick! The dealer couldn’t fill our propane tank for delivery but it doesn’t look like we will need it at all this weekend for our first trip as we will have shore power. I was confused as to whether we would need propane for showers. This cleared that up! I bought an induction plate for cooking so all our needs should be set. Again thank you for the videos. I couldn’t do this without you!

I hope you have a great weekend camping! You should be fine without propane especially since you will be using the induction cooking instead of the propane stove in the trailer.

The Alde is a very cool system for RV's. Cheers to NuCamp. Great video on how the basic operation works. Thumbs up.

It is a very good system but because it's so different than what most RV owners are use to, the learning curve is a bit steep. That control panel can do so much but I was just trying to show the basic functions.

THANKS SO MUCH!! I used my heater in my TAB 320 this weekend and I used the propane instead of the electric because I didn't understand the system. Now I do. Thanks for the info.!! Love your videos!!

Thank goodness the alde system is the same for the 320 s. I took my first hot shower after too many cold ones. I thought the shower gauge was water pressure or something. The dealership dude never saw one before so I just grabbed it for the good price and left. I’m having a lot of dur moments I really appreciate the videos

    Another Great Topic to cover!
Speaking of bright backlights on the Alde System, I also have a problem getting to sleep at night due to all the little blue lights on the TV, and the panel cover down by the floor right below the closet door And the backlight on the radio which is right above my head.
Regarding the radio/DVD panel, I tried finding settings to turn off that backlight like I had found in the Alde. Also asked dealer and he was stumped so for that I think I may hang a picture over it.
For the TV blue light I just put a Tea Towel in front of it at bedtime.
As for the panel by floor, I used a strip of Gaffer's Tape (Black and does not leave residue when removed).

We ended up covering the radio using a couple of small command hooks and a piece of fabric. We use a decorative pillow from our bed to set in front of the tv to block that light. So far we haven't had an issue with the light on the floor.

Our main issue was the water mixer. In the TAB 320 CS-S it’s under the sink. It controls how much cold water is mixed in with the hot. Took us a while to figure out why water was never hot!

Thanks for video. We turned the temperature set point up for our first cold night camping and got no heat. We have glycol, we have propane, and we're connected to shore power. Priority is electric by default since we're plugged in and set at 2KV. What are we missing.

NuCamp should put out videos like this. The instruction manual isn't always helpful. Great job!
Maybe you can get a job with NuCamp and do instructional videos for them!

Thank you! We are hoping that our videos will supplement the manual for NuCamp owners. Unfortunately we can only really assist 400 owners as many things are different on the other models.

Do you need water in camper to use the heater? Mine is winterized and I want to keep winterized but camp in cold weather. I have access to 120v 15 amp power. Reading some of other comments they mentioned glycol. Is there a closed /permanent glycol system for the heater? If so I assume that it doesn't need inspection. Also does the camper need to level to run the system?

Now real world question or clerification - Boondocking and the Aldi how to set? Using the Propane a must understand but I believe the Glycol still needs to be circulated. So no Shorepower so battery unit set to "1" electric and Propane on too+ correct? How to keep from destroying the batter should we draw down to 1/2? Is it realistic to think that for One (1) night this will be safe adding we are starting with full battery?
All we have is a deep cell that the dealer put in when we picked up the unit. Your thoughts?
My wife's CPAP will be using power from our Jackery 500 but may need heat.
    Happy Wife Happy Life

If you are not plugged into electric, you would turn the electric setting to off and just have the propane setting to on. The pump to circulate the glycol runs off the 12v system. With the AGM batteries that are in the trailer, you should be fine overnight.

    Hello.
How long before you feel there's a temperature change/increase once you manually turn on the 3020 aldi heater?
Do you need to turn on the water pump all the time for the aldi 3020 to work?
    Thank you.

    • @TravelswithDelaney
      @TravelswithDelaney  2 роки тому

It really depends on how cold it is outside and how cold the trailer was. If its below 50 in the trailer, it took a really long time to even get a few degrees. When it was closer to warm, it seemed to move quicker. You can switch the pump to continuous but just remember to eventually shut it off. Ours got put on continuous and we did not know it. It literally boiled out our glycol one summer.

I can run gallons through the hot tap and it’s still cold, a few degrees warmer than the cold like you experienced but no one would want to shower in it. Gas is on, water on, shower set to full temp, brrrr. The trailer heating works fine, no idea how to get hot water out of the taps though.

I don't know about the watts but we found it to be very efficient on propane.

@@TravelswithDelaney The owners manual has so little useful info in regards to operating the Alde system.
Now if I could only find a video on priming and/or troubleshooting no water when fresh water tank is full and pump working good .....

Thank you great video the really need to improve the instruction manual. The 41 degree was a great idea, I had trouble figuring how not to run the floor but be able to use hot water. As for the light for sleeping from the comments below electrical tap solved the TV. and panel on floor panel. I had to buy black cloth for the DVD player.
