The silence you hear in Minecraft when in a cave is accurate to real life mostly. Not all caves have water in them, but what they do have is an echo. If you ever explore a cave, you should check out the walls. You might find something made by a human 30,000 years ago. Drawings painted or drawn with mineralized rock substance of different colors. Also comes from flowers and coal.
I'm writing a book about a Monster that lives in a large pond in Michigan. The two protagonists end up heading into a long abandoned plant to find answers. This video right here is perfect sound effects while writing this chapter. The Environment take place in an abandoned electrical plant so it's a bunch of metal and wires instead of a rocky cave, but since the entire plant has nearly been flooded by by river, it Makes perfect for that dark, eerie sensation. Surprisingly not using this for a cave! I'm using it for a creepy sewer system, and the PCs can catch on that there's no rats.... Almost as if something is up ;)
Very nice, may I ask what awaits them? My party went to the sewers about a year ago, when they were lvl 2 or 3, and there were plenty of rats, some of them huge, led by an insane wererat. In the entire long campaign that I've now been running for almost two years, they were never closer to TPK than in those sewers. I might have overshot my rat swarm mechanic, where if you stand in a swarm, you get autohit for 1d4dmg each turn. Only the paladin was left standing, and she managed to wound the wererat so heavily (1 or 2HP left), that he fled, and took all his rat minions with him. Thank god for that, I do not wish death upon any of my party members =D
@@elendiel Very nice B) They were investigating a string of murders and sightings of someone who seemed to be made entirely of insects, which led them down into the sewers. They found that a huge hive of Kruthiks was under the city, and the Kruthiks queen was controlling the bug man! They made it through by the skin of their teeth too haha - their Myconid circle of spores druid pulled off a play of the game and used his high level spell scroll to end the fight after half of them went down haha
@@Mini_Mii98 Very nice! I like Kruthiks (had to google them :D )! That non-magical crossbow bolt shot from about 40m away caused like 3 dmg, and possibly saved their lives =D
Also using this for sewers. My players are doing some extermination for the city as well as the local thieves guild. There's gonna be rats, mutated rats, a Gel cube, gray ooze and an illegal imported Phase Spider all depending on where they go. Oh, and two mummies for good measure in a hidden hallway.
