How much less than your driver is this going?

It is a 2 wood so if you don't have a big arc swing with driver letting the shaft do the work for you then this will be comparable & more accurate. With a Rory swing this won't compete with an actual driver.

Its not a driver but instead a 2 wood with a larger face than a 3 wood but shorter shaft & higher loft of a modern driver. If you have a big arc swing & are accurate then stick with a driver. Pros have reduced a lot of courses to pitch & putt so on some shorter courses that require accuracy & not length this would be a good choice for them. On a monster tour course you won't see this as a sub for a driver. I used to carry driver. 2 wood, & 4 wood in competition in the 60's. Its just hype to call it a driver.

Well for slicers its not about the hype at all. I've been playing for 2 years and am 17hcp. I've always been good with fairway woods and a terrible slicer with driver. Never took any lessons yet. I know my swing path is open but with this i can now find fairways like i did with my 3 wood but 30 yards longer. So for me and for many others its a game changer until i learn how to swing right.

@@rasse825 Yup, a 2 wood with shorter shaft but bigger head than 3 wood will do that. Get a cut down 12 deg driver will do the same thing. Its the shorter shaft that really makes a difference since long shafts are meant for big arc swings letting the shaft do the work. Most high handicappers smack at the ball from the top with a baseball swing not using the natural flex of the shaft to propel it. Played with a longterm baseball player today & he could only get about 150 yds out of his driver high & way right & he powered from the top cutting way across it. Learn to get a smooth arc rather than lunge at it & swing out & the arc of the swing will naturally bring it around for straight or draw. Think of hitting the inside of the ball rather than the outside while casting from the top. You'd think hitting on the inside & swinging out & around would send it right but it does the opposite. Practice on the range with the logo turned towards you hitting it swinging out & around.
