That "Hey Benny, looks to me like you're on the wrong side of the river" is such an awesome line. Considering that the Nile river is infested with crocodiles it is a safe assumption that crossing it at any spot is like asking peeps to become chow. Oh, and camels are the prefered pack and riding animal for the desert. Broad, flat soft feet able to spread the weight across the sand, barely sinking into the surface of even soft sand; an incredible endurance; able to store water in the fatty tissue of their humps and release it as needed, able to lie down during a sandstorm and close both eyes and nose tightly, filtering out the blown sand through the hairs around their nostrils. Now compare that to a horse: stiff, hard hooves with barely any surface area, regularly sinking to their ankles into sand at each step, require huge amounts of water regularly in the desert heat that has to be carried along, reducing whatever else you want to carry, very likely to twist or break a leg when falling, and easily spooked, and easily suffocated under sand.
Brendan Fraiser + Adam Sandler + Steve Buscemi + a boatload of famous supporting cast = Airheads, a movie about a band trying to get their start in a very unconventional way (no spoilers).
Brendan Fraser was an still Is an amazing actor. All that fight secuence with the mummies around the table was filmed with Him fighting air. All the mummies are CGi. I fell in love with Him after this movie. You should watch George of the Jungle also with Him. Is really funny.
it's damn sad that Fraser is struggling and has been struggling all this time, just goes to show you cant be reckless with money, even if you're a superstar.
Your the first reactor I've seen that recognised the actor that played Antoine in Deuce Bigalow, well done! The Mummy surely was a fun movie and your reaction was fun to watch as well 🤗
I don't reccomend movies much on here but if there is one i've been wanting to see your reaction to its "constantine" with Keanu Reeves and it has evelyn ( Rachel Weiss ) from this movie in it too. It's a great film hope you do it soon! Loving all the uploads you're putting out recently keep up the great work man! 🔥
I second the Constantine movie. Also, based on your questions about what the 10 plagues of Egypt are - watch the animated movie Prince of Egypt if you haven't already. It is a very well done telling of Exodus (story of Moses).
The 10 plagues of Egypt from the Bible... locusts, water into blood, lice etc... from the story of Moses, from the book of Exodus. Also speaking of the 10 plagues you should definitely watch the animated movie, The Prince of Egypt
Another Brendan Fraser movie you should watch is Blast from the Past. Super underrated, but it's a really sweet movie with some really funny moments. Also Bedazzled is good too. Though i would recommend you also check out the original 1967 version too, it's very different, but comparing them is an interesting way to see how comedy styles changed over the years. Plus Peter Cook and Dudley Moore were brilliant comedians.
Fantastic movie :) Frasier and Weisz have amazing chemistry :) Im so glad Frasier is doing well now :( kind of a heartbreaking story, to be on top like this and have that happen to you :(
The jump scare at 9:00 had me laughing so hard about choked on my food. Leo you're reactions are always so entertaining. I know I have mentioned this before but I'd love to see you react to The Poseidon Adventure with Gene Hackman and the Towering Inferno, they are amazing disaster films from the '70s.
I love how most of the jumpscares in this movie are comedic. So many scary movies rely on cheap jumpscares is nice to see a movie that makes fun of them.
It’s so fun watching these classic movies vicariously through your eyes Leo. Every time I watch one of your reactions it’s like seeing the movie for the first time again!
Rewatching this as an adult, after having watched the "Army of Darkness," they're giving me pretty similar vibes. Although the Army of Darkness is way more goofy with their humor and packed with one-liners.
I remember when Nostalgia Critic covered this movie he tried out other actors in the role of O'Connell. Frasier definitely killed it, but I can't help but wonder what this could have been like with Bruce Campbell.
I remember seeing in the theatre , and buying it afterwards on VHS with the bonus content(which was rare for those days). The Mummy Returns is a perfect follow up.
Stoked you’re finally checking out this great franchise! I grew up watching these movies. This one is one of my earliest memories; it came out when I was 6. Fraser is the GOAT! I also fell in love with the beautiful Rachel Weisz and she was one of my first crushes ever.
Classic! One of the best action comedies ever made. The FX still hold up great, the script is hilarious and flows perfectly, the cinematography is spot on and it's probably Brendan Frasiers finest performance that Im aware of. Great flick, great reaction!
If you think about it Anck-Su-Namun and Imhotep have a love story typical of the good guys, pure love but an evil guy wants her for himself, tortured and killed because they love each other and turned into evil monsters, for the entire movie he just want to bring back to life his loved girl
But then it’s a big twist near the end of the sequel to this one!!! Ditching him because he won’t now just run away together with her and leave it all behind. By this time he was not the same anymore but basically sort of turned into a monster and warped but also he’ll bent on revenge and destruction instead of realizing she finally came back reincarnated!! Even found, then revived him in the beginning of the movie
This is probably my favorite adventure movie, when it came out I remember seeing it as a kid and then going and getting the adventure lego sets to recreate it ahaha.
So happy to log in and see this. This is one of the best adventure movies ever made ☺️☺️ And I’m interested in the sounds in your new house!! Keep us updated if there ends up being a ghost! Hopefully it’s a cool/friendly ghost you can watch movies with 😁
One of my All-Time favorites. Imhotep was terrifying, even if the cgi in certain harts haven't aged. 41:37 The cough was my favorite part. I wanna see more Brendan Fraser films on your channel, "George of the Jungle" & "Bedazzled" 1967 & 2000.
The Mummy and The Mummy Returns are awesome - Stephen Sommers (the director) has a knack for old-school pulp adventure (the style of movie serials and cheap dimestore novels from the early 20th century), you should definitely check out Deep Rising, which is an action horror in the same style. The third movie is crap - different director (Russell Mulcahy), only Brendan Frasier and John Hannah was in it from the old cast, and there was no chemistry (also the script was a confused mess).
If you don’t like bugs, definitely stay away from Australia! 😂😂😂 I love this movie too, especially that the director would have “gruesome” stuff happen off camera and letting the audience use their imagination. There’s a certain charm to this movie that is very endearing.
I can watch this movie and the sequel 100 times and never get tired of them. It's so weird to see the actor John Hannah (Johnathan) in this role because I'm used to seeing him in the series Spartacus. He's absolutely ruthless as Batiatus. Still recommending The Professional and Gangs of New York. 🤗🖤
I rode a camel once, at a circus. It was like being on top of a wooden-lattice tower in a high wind: Swinging 2-4 feet forward, or back, or to the sides for every slow stride. They are not easy animals to master. They more stubborn than mules, and more viciously evil-tempered than llamas. Definitely in my top 10 favorite animals. Not as fast as a horse, but far more enduring, in the open desert. If you get a chance to ride one, I can only suggest you TAKE it! Zoology Nerd Note: Those seen here are not camels, but dromedaries. Camels are shaggier, have two humps, and are more often found in Asia.
However their reputation for being ill-tempered, when a camel (or dromedarie) likes you, you have a friend for life. Rachel Weisz (Evey) got the latter - apparently the one she rode was depressed for weeks after she left.

This is THE best. I think it gets played on our tv at least once a year in our house. We all wish we were her and had him fall for our clueless self.
Brendan Fraser was an still Is an amazing actor. All that fight secuence with the mummies around the table was filmed with Him fighting air. All the mummies are CGi. I fell in love with Him after this movie.
You should watch George of the Jungle also with Him. Is really funny.
Including, Encino man.
It was "Bedazzled" that convinced me Brendan Fraser was an amazing actor. A fun comedy, but some seriously impressive acting in that film!
it's damn sad that Fraser is struggling and has been struggling all this time, just goes to show you cant be reckless with money, even if you're a superstar.
Are you familiar with VKunia? She recently reacted to it here ua-cam.com/video/8H1zYgGiWbQ/v-deo.html if you're interested
@@mikethemotormouth I'll check it out, thanks!
Oh, yeah! Totally agree 👍
I second the Constantine movie. Also, based on your questions about what the 10 plagues of Egypt are - watch the animated movie Prince of Egypt if you haven't already. It is a very well done telling of Exodus (story of Moses).
Oh hell yeah!!!!!
The desert and plague make me think of Prince of Egypt. Classic animated movies, based on the story of Moses. Awesome visuals and great music.
The Mummy movies are top notch!!!! Horror and comedy mix! The Mummy Returns, which is a continuation of this movie, is awesome also!!!!❤
The 10 plagues of Egypt from the Bible... locusts, water into blood, lice etc... from the story of Moses, from the book of Exodus. Also speaking of the 10 plagues you should definitely watch the animated movie, The Prince of Egypt
I second Prince of Egypt!
Yup, The Prince of Egypt is literally the best animated religion related movie I've seen, one of my faves, deffinitely a must watch ^•^
That or Ten Commandments long af but an amazing film
Wasn’t the biblical plagues seven rather than ten?
@@trayolphia5756 there were 10
The more I watch this movie the more I love Benny. It really is an awesome performance.
This was the perfect Hollywood film. It had action, adventure, comedy, horror, romance, epic special effects(for the time), a bit of everything!
Fantastic movie :) Frasier and Weisz have amazing chemistry :)
Im so glad Frasier is doing well now :( kind of a heartbreaking story, to be on top like this and have that happen to you :(
The jump scare at 9:00 had me laughing so hard about choked on my food. Leo you're reactions are always so entertaining.
I know I have mentioned this before but I'd love to see you react to The Poseidon Adventure with Gene Hackman and the Towering Inferno, they are amazing disaster films from the '70s.
Oh my GOD, yes please!! Both movies are VERY entertaining!
@@glasgavlen I'm sure I've mentioned them in over half of his reactions. The Poseidon Adventure is my favorite but I love both.
I love how most of the jumpscares in this movie are comedic. So many scary movies rely on cheap jumpscares is nice to see a movie that makes fun of them.
Poseidon Adventure.. HELL YES! Haven't seen that movie since I was a kid, was fascinated and traumatized by it. The exploding Boilers..
I'm late but watching the Reaction. There's about 5 movies connected to this Very Movie
"I guess we go home empty-handed, again" *doesn't notice the huge bags of gold Benny brought out and put on the camel*
Benny “It looks to me like I have all the horses!”
Rick “Hey Benny! Looks to me like you’re on the WRONG SIDE OF THE RIVER!!!”
I qoute these all the time when watching the movie :D
"Do you swear"? "Every damn day". LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Rachel Weisz is still absolutely, and beyond comprehension, breath taking.
YEE! The mummy movies give me a nice nostalgia feel FOR REAL!
I love your stuff. Been a fan and sub for a while now. Wishing you nothing but the best. Nerds and weirdos unite, happy to see you grow, Leo.
A movie where plot is serious, the action is awesome and has a good touch of humour without being out of place in the main setting
- *THE GODFATHER PT 2 (1974)* 🔥🐐
It’s coming for sure … it’s a must see
I think he said for trilogies he’s doing them once a month.
It’s so fun watching these classic movies vicariously through your eyes Leo. Every time I watch one of your reactions it’s like seeing the movie for the first time again!
Also can’t wait to see what Anck Su Namun’s new name will be 😂
Edit: Confirmed. “Anakasuko” 😆
Lmaoo I could not get it right man
@@ITSMRVIDEO-rg9ms I’m a 90s kid so this whole franchise is engraved in my mind
you are so much fun to watch movies with. and to listen to music with. I laughed so much watching you watch this. you are the best.
Rewatching this as an adult, after having watched the "Army of Darkness," they're giving me pretty similar vibes.
Although the Army of Darkness is way more goofy with their humor and packed with one-liners.
I like to think of these movies as prequels to army of darkness.
Good old Bruce Campbell and his quips. Ever see Jack of All Trades? So bad but also oh so good
I remember when Nostalgia Critic covered this movie he tried out other actors in the role of O'Connell. Frasier definitely killed it, but I can't help but wonder what this could have been like with Bruce Campbell.
“ so I see where this is headed straight to sex oh gosh I can’t wait to see”😂😂😂😂
The music in the film is fantastic. Jerry Goldsmith was a master!
Jerry Goldsmith is a 🐐
I remember seeing in the theatre , and buying it afterwards on VHS with the bonus content(which was rare for those days). The Mummy Returns is a perfect follow up.
And that amazing music video too at the end of the VHS
This is a certified classic, me and my sister know every line from this movie lmao
36:52 Brendan Fraser saying "Oh...my...god" will always crack me up to this day! 💀☠🤣😭🤣😭🤣😭🤣🤣😭
This is probably my favorite adventure movie, when it came out I remember seeing it as a kid and then going and getting the adventure lego sets to recreate it ahaha.
Oldie but Goodie Mr. Video! You know you make rewatching a movie so much fun. Thanks for that! Elizabeth
“Can we look” “oh my God” 😂😂😂😂 I hollered at work. Shhh 🤫
So happy to log in and see this. This is one of the best adventure movies ever made ☺️☺️
And I’m interested in the sounds in your new house!! Keep us updated if there ends up being a ghost! Hopefully it’s a cool/friendly ghost you can watch movies with 😁
Theres totally not a homeless dude living in the attic...

Haven't even started the video, but Mr. Video always brings the heat, so it's gotta be a good one
LMFAO when he did that horse impersonation I was dead 😂🤣🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎
Not only is this one of my all time favourite movies, but to me this is a masterpiece!!
I always thought that if I was in their shoes, I’d surround myself with every cat in town so I didn’t get “sucked dry” 🤣🤣🤣.
“The Revenant”
“The Last Samurai”
“Rudy”
My mom and I watched all the mummy movies multiple times as a kid it's embedded in my mind
Wicked movie, great reaction, entertaining, humurous bursting with personality, great stuff, keep it up man.
If you don’t like bugs, definitely stay away from Australia! 😂😂😂
I love this movie too, especially that the director would have “gruesome” stuff happen off camera and letting the audience use their imagination.
There’s a certain charm to this movie that is very endearing.
Wise words! I'm terrified of bugs and I'm not setting one toe on that continent.
I saw this in theatres back in 1999, I was 15 years old then and I LOVED it! Still do:) I have probably seen it 20 times since then:)
I heard He actually almost broke his neck for real doing the hanging scene so insane
Same here.. he talked about it during an interview
I felt so bad for him 😢
YOU DID IT! Cannot wait for the The Mummy Returns!
Haha, I had an equally odd experience seeing him in Spartacus after being used to him in this role since I was a kid. What a great, versatile actor!
God this brings back memories! I remember copying this on VHS....wow I feel old.
They're still camels, bud. Same family.
However their reputation for being ill-tempered, when a camel (or dromedarie) likes you, you have a friend for life. Rachel Weisz (Evey) got the latter - apparently the one she rode was depressed for weeks after she left.
@@blacktigerpaw1 Nah, people just think they're the same, because a popular cigarette brand used them for their logo. It's like calling crocodiles & alligators the same, because they're the same family.
@14:00 lmao "your neck, saved your neck"
Man! I was having a tough time even started crying a little, thank you!! This is one of my favorite movies ever and the second one (not the third lol) and you just made my night! I haven’t even started the video I was just too exited and grateful for the fun distraction. Now let’s watch this!
Except the cgi in the 2nd. Like wuht?
@@drunkpaulocosta lol the CGI was horrible but then again it was the early 2000’s when technology was barely improving.
One of my dad's favourite (and my) series. In my opinion, this movie is one of the best written, acted, and times, with special effects that don't grow old because they are part of the film not it's center piece.
Missing my dad, but this movie brings back lots of positive feelings. I really miss him.
Thank you for watching, and I'm happy you enjoyed it.
“The Mummy Returns” is also very good 😊 hope you watch it as well
Anucapulco! I just laughed my ass off! 🤣
i freaking laughed my ass off at 27:07 lol. keep up the good work champ. never change
"I know where this is headed, right to sex....I can't wait to see" LOL man you're funny as hell. This was one of my favorite movies when it came out.
You have to do the Mummy Returns now lol this was an awesome Reaction lol
You're bringing all the 🔥 I'm so glad you recognized Antoine from Deuce Bigalow 🤣
