I've got the same engine in a mk3 ST, max torque is at 1400 rpm so you have good response in low revs which helps lower fuel consumption.

Big difference in fuel consumption from
120 to 140 kph. Still most of the roads I drive on are 100 kph anyway.

I'm pretty sure thats not the style version but the FR or Xcellence.

I think the FR gets the full "coast to coast" red LED at the back as standard. Maybe the style can get it as option?

interesting and useful measurements of fuel consumption at constant speed. To the point, do you take into account the force and direction of wind? I have got VW Golf 1.4 tsi 122 hp DSG7 (2012). My own observation of fuel consumption at 180 kmh (due to GPS) is 17,6 l in one direction and 12,9 l in the opposite one. Testing distance is 3 km long. The road is completely horizontal and flat. So, the average (and real) fuel economy is 17,6+12,9/2=15,3 l.
