for me it's the red trim and handle length and they look better than my argos rods 😊
@@carpologytv You are right about not needing high test curve 13' rods for long range fishing, a good few years ago l built some Century Horizons and Century Armalite SPs for a group of lads fishing some big gravel pits, both rods were 12', the horizons had a 2.5lb tc and the SPs had a 2.75lb tc, they were fishing baits around the 130yard range using l think 3.5oz leads. Obviously for extreme ranges the 13' rods you mentioned would be the way to go.
The legendary X-Flite. One of the stunning lookin Rod ever. I fish these Rods in early 2000 but they was stolen and i never go back to these. The gloss black with the red gimmicks made the Rods one of the most beautiful lookin Rods ever. Gimme, gimme, gimme these Rod's after midnight

The best thing I like about these rod is the thin sleek design . I have a Grey's prodigy 10ft in my kit. Grey's rods (3lb+) are fast becoming my rod of choice for UK specimen lakes (25lb+) lakes in the UK. Nice review thanks.

These look fantastic. Some 3.25lb rods would be a brilliant upgrade to my Greys Prodigy Plus 2.75lb rods.

Even though liking or not some features Is subjective, It Is objective to state that they are amazing and astonishing rods, with their thin blank and rings and the red finisihing. Casting capability and comfort are defenitely a plus. I would love so much to have them, and winning them perfectly match my budget, so....

The shrink wrap flared handles with the offset of the dark pink(ish) anodised ring to break up the all black finish. 😁...I know that's two things but they complement each other

X-Flites are a classic carp rod, the upgrades look stylish and the red collars would forever remind me that Jo had used them so I would never to forget where I saw them first.
I like the handles and the red detailing. Just been to the House of Hardy fishing museum in Alnwick and spoke to Tim who recommended Greys carp rods. Great guy and great rods too.
Cracking looking rods, I like the red rings on them. They will go with my red LED on my alarms and look nice on my jag pod. If I got them I'd give my old rods to my daughter = more fishing 🎣 🎣

Had a few grey's rods and they've all been great rods but what I like about the x flights rods is the finish they look great 🎣🎣🎣 GOOD LUCK ALL

Good looking rods, with the red collars really setting them off. Although they missed a trick with the butt cap. Should have been red, would really set them off.

As a user of X Flites for years if these are half as good as the originals then they will I am sure be a fine upgrade. The word you couldn't come up with was collar and the Red ones on these offer an excellent finish.

Love the rods, I especially like the fact they cast well and have just the right amount of power to tackle the biggest Carp...well that's the main thing eh.

I personally think that the way they haven't just stuck with matte finish and changed it to gloss looks great also the red touches would look great on a misty summer morning
I bought some Shimano 10000 bait runners just before i had a stroke last year and have been looking for some new rods to go with them when i can fish again and i thing the rods would go well with the reels, especially like the red detailing on the reel seat.
