- In today's guide, I will help you learn the track of Poritmao in MotoGP Academy mode in MotoGP 24.
Episode 2 - Portimao
My controls:
R2 - Throttle
L2 - Front Brake
R1 - Downshift
L1 - Clutch
Triangle - Upshift
Square - Rear Brake
Circle - Rewind/Voice Chat
Cross (X) - RHD
Left Analogue Stick - Rider weight and turning
My controller calibration is set at default.

Late with the comments here but just amazed at how much throttle you *don't* use throughout the lap. It's like 410 sprint cars where they're almost never 100% loud pedal. Very helpful!

I just did Portimao on my Moto3 career and this track made me scream at first. It is so difficult and dangerous, that Turn 1 is like Eau Rouge downwards heading to a barrier.
Portimao is taking the layout of Catalunya and the elevation of Spa and merging them together.
I somehow managed a 2nd in the race but I did wipe someone out by mistake and got a warning. 😅

Im so used to brake until the very next to the apex [in ride 5] and noticed that in motogp actually letting go the brakes makes you turn better ... I was shocked by the fact that I was losing even 1 to 2 seconds a lap in motogp because of my braking which was completely unnecessary.
Yeah its very easy to lock the front now. Nice and smooth brakes will help a lot :D

Everything at default mate, You also can't change the setup in theis game mode I don't believe
Btw jorge sprinter said RHD is useless and shouldn't be used other than just for launching and the race start. What are your thoughts on it?
Bike seems to wheelie abd and slide anyway regardless of RHD on or off.
I'm still undecided. I found the RHD was useless in last year's game so I wanted to use it more for MotoGP 24. I don't think it makes a big difference to the lap times if used or not used to be honest bud. Do you use it?
I use it because I feel confident using it... didn't notice any advantage with or without RHD turned on... 😂
How do you keep TC at 2 on academy? I always have change it after auto pilot.
Restart the session in the pause menu instead of finishing the sector :)

No, as you can seen in the video I use the front brake with L2 and rear brake with square. You can brake with just the front though if you want
