Well then I've got good news for you, as of a few hours ago now you can learn how to tie a Clove Hitch too :) We're doing new videos on Wednesdays and Saturdays for now. May shift things in the future, but we'll see what happens.
Your beginning camping series is great for a new camper like me. This video is very useful. How do you put out a fire? And what would you do if you want to start the fire again the next evening? I've never been camping, sorry that they're such basic questions. Thanks.
Thanks Holly, glad you found it helpful. There’s a few ways to put out a fire. You can simply let it burn out over time, until the ashes naturally cool. If you want to put the fire out fast, you can dump water on it, and stir the ashes, to ensure everything gets thoroughly extinguished. When you’re ready to start a fire the next day, it’s usually best to start from scratch. You may have heard of people restarting fires with coals from a previously hot fire. That is something that is sometimes used for survival situations, but when camping at a normal campsite, it is usually best to totally extinguish your campfire until it’s cool to the touch, and then start over the next time you want a fire. Hope that helps, and if in doubt, always err on the safe side.
That's a phenomenal idea. After watching his video on "easy weeknight pizza" I was actually thinking I might do a video on dutch oven pizza (over a campfire). Would be pretty epic.
Just purchased a fire pit for our patio... great DIY tinder tip using a knife!
Thank you! I've never done this and will be camping on my own (in a well populated area) soon. I'm toying with trying to use the campfire ring.
This was a helpful video. Thanks!
I'm learning so much from my friends.

Thanks again - looks like you’re a regular on the channel now. Thanks for watching :)
Do a vid on fatwood.
What about the biggest pieces of wood? You didn't use them/tell us how to use them! Nevertheless! Great stuff! Thank you!
You should do a collab with Grant Bakes! Baking sourdough outdoors.
