Beautiful flower on the new passion fruit, they really are stunning on some of the species. The black sapote fruits might be a bit later than usual but they look very healthy
I got some new mesh bags from eBay. They are green and more flimsy material. But they use a draw string that doesn’t require a knot. You won’t accidentally knock mangoes off with these, and very quick to put on.
I was just looking at some of those myself 5 minutes ago! Will be ordering a handful of various sizes I think! Got to be better than plastic, roots get air yet alot less expensive than a ceramic etc
It was a pretty nice Christmas day at Seaham in NSW which is near Newcastle, it was about 29°C & we didn't have to switch the air conditioner on inside. Today it's about 34°C & it's meant to be at least 38°C tomorrow, that temperature 🌡️ is a bit too excessive because I have noticed that it actually slows plant growth down, root growth stops at 35°C so around 25-30°C is optimum for plant growth although my jackfruit & Cempedak plants seem to love it when it's over 40°C inside of the greenhouse, tonight will be another round of watering my potted plants because the potting soil gets dry very quickly. It only got down to 16°C only once in 2022 during summer time & this year the coldest it got during the day was 19°C this December. That pumpkin flower in your yard is actually a female flower which is why it looks like it does. I am a bit over potted plants because I have an 8 year old Hass avocado which is planted in a 500 millimetre diameter plant pot which is 52 litres in capacity & it's root bound but I am not going to go to Bunnings & buy a 100 litre pot to transplant it into, it will be planted in the ground next year. That large mango 🥭 tree you have in your yard might take the cold during winter time unless you have the same problem Jake Mace who was living in Phoenix in Arizona had where an early winter morning freeze killed one of his mango tree yet but the other one which got full sunlight survived, 3 of mine brave the hot weather during summer time & the cold weather during winter time after they turn from a sapling into more of a tree. I think that jackfruit plants of yours which is struggling to push out growth is either starved of sunlight or it has a lot to do with the short summer season you have in Victoria, mine is beginning to madly push out new shoots in my greenhouse, just about all of the winter leaves have been shredded now !
We currently have a windy 35deg Christmas day and it hardly ever rains in Sth Australia. I'm from Victoria, I moved here almost 2 years ago, the one thing that I do miss is the rain. Not as much as I got on the Bass Coast, but I sure would love some of it.
@@RealLifeFruitopia I am in the boonies but I’m right near the beach. which I love. Thankfully, we are not near the terrible fires. Keep up the inspiring videos, my climate is somewhat different, but you give me ideas for my own fruit growing.
You could grow the white sapotes over the top of the mango on the southern side. This canopy might be able to throw frost over the top of the mango, creating a frost free zone.
What banana trees do you recommend for growing in Melbourne most? Specifically Nunawading. Also, do they need protection in winter if they're growing between a fence and a house?
I've gradually switched to veganic gardening. veganaustralia.org.au/news-article/veganics_the_future_of_agriculture/ Rock minerals are unjustified for the cost, plus I didn't see any benefits after years of use.

First fruits just came. Exciting new video soon.

I'll check those out, thanks!

Thanks for sharing sir, lol that’s a new one ‘direct in cloud’ love it.
Glad you liked the video!
Amazing George. If you dont have patience use the net to cover those mangoes and then prune those carab ❤
I have patience but afraid mangoes will fall with tightening of bags as I'm not careful enough with the fragile stems. Looks like the net it is.

Thanks for sharing your experience and observations. You’re right about the jackfruit. It’s been a tough year for them with the shorter summer days.
good idea with the carob, keep it trimmed and its perfect chop n drop.
I would bag the mangos because its way too beautiful to hide it.
I'm not sure if I'll go with mangos in the bags, but I'll let you know.
How's your garden project doing?

Dangerous fires for Boxing day around the Grampians.
I couldn't live in the bush. Rather be in the big city and have sweet dreams at night.
Stay safe!

I like your thinking, it might work.
Marry Xmas you 2😊
BRO! Grats! we are still dry as! hopefully get some soon (Rochester)
Hope you get some rain soon. It’s been a warmer than average summer here.
Did you get the Blue Java from Daley's? I got mine from there. What do people think it is? I heard the namwa is similar to the blue java.
I don't remember where I got the Blue Java to be honest. Either Bunnings or Daleys. Namwah is the American name for Ducasse in Australia.
@RealLifeFruitopia OK, so what do people think your blue java really should be?
@@roselavender2222 They haven't said.
Haha 15 C is warm for us. Last week here in NYC was minus 8 Celsius.
That's very chilly! Australians are the most spoiled on earth with warm comfort most of the year.
Perth too was 41C two days ago and 23C today , on xmas day.

Ducasse and Goldfinger are the best for Melbourne, they deliver nice racks and take our winters well.
@@RealLifeFruitopia thanks!
We missed out on the rain in central vic
Damn! I hope you get some soon.
kemuning plant and kenanga flower plant sir its smell amazing its local plant name
Thanks for sharing.
Don't you use poultry pellets and rock minerals anymore?

Are the reed and the Tommy 3 feet from each other or is it just me?
You are correct. The Reed is coming out soon.
