I don't think people really massively hated it. It's because she's extremely known in europe as one of the eurodance queens, and people during Eurovision tend to discriminate famous candidates as they may be supposed to win easier because of their fame. But this was good. Hard song to sing, and everybody knows Natalie is highly talented.
People didn’t hated it, but they were disappointed that it was so similar to euphoria (the winner from 2012(?) (not sure about the year, but it was before Glorious went up) It is kinda like a remix from euphoria but with different lyrics. I like this song, but it was to similar to go up in the esc.
I am sad when I see this passage. Cascada was Europe's biggest album seller in 2013. But that failed to save Germany from the bottom spots. Following this failure, Nathalie put her career on hold. She hasn't done anything for 10 years now. no albums. A few guest songs (which are great by the way, especially one last dance) and a few concerts but nothing like before. But what makes me the saddest is that I think Eurodance died that day. Cascada was the only one doing Dance and no one took over afterwards. No more dance music reached number 1 in the charts in Europe after her. RIP Eurodance.
I guess the times have changed. Eurodance is not a mainstream genre anymore, however Cascada and other eurodance artists managed to keep a loyal fanbase in a bubble, which is good. Many artists, once their music genre becomes "outdated" lose everything and can't even sold out a bar, but Cascada is still doing successful small concerts and have a loyal public who follow their releases. I think their are an example on how to manage a career once you are out of the mainstream
I'm from Mexico, and I think this was great! Actually Cascada is the reason of why I started to watch Eurovision... And I thing it's great! I show this performance to my friends and they tell my it was great! I don't really understand why the people don't like it... It's enough to win, but at least in the top 10, like it or not ;).

Let's address the elephant in the room and just admit that this is the best entry Germany has ever had and I don't think any other contestants will even come close to the pop icon that is Cascada.
Natalie can KILL it live her voice is amazing look up the acoustic live performances!! The only reason she sounds alittle off here is becuase she let her nerves get the best of her, she even said so herself. When people are nervous and they perform, it doesnt come out too well. Ther were 100 million viewers too. Im not mad that Cascada didnt win Eurovision. Natalie looked so happy and looked like she was having fun as well. She might have lost eurovision, but there's no denying Cascada (THE WHOLE GROUP) are talented people!! A beautiful lead vocalist with a strong angelic voice, a DJ/Producer who isnt shy when it comes to dance music and beats, and an extrordinary song writer/producer who comes up with the sweetest melodies and lyrics for Cascada.
Of course! One just needs to hear the version from the german NF, the acoustic versions, the REHEARSALS vor the ESC... her nerves got away with her here.
That's exactly the REVERSE of the spirit of that competition. It's meant to make the public discover new young artists, not make a competition of established charts killer, there's the TOP50 for that :).

you can't compare two different years, different competition. Cascada suffered from zero stage presence and unfortunately the stage in Malmo didn't help at all. The song is very good but it wasn't boosted by the stage performance. Huge reaction in the arena
There were a lot of underrated songs in 2013: San Marino, Israel, Germany, Switzerland, Spain, Moldova. The results confound me. Denmark's song was good, but I just don't see how it was the best in the whole show. At least Ukraine got a good score which was well deserved.

The german juries had sense and wanted Blitzkids.mvt to represent Germany with Heart On The Line that year.
