How Profit-Sharing Frauds in Stock Market are making Retail Traders Lose Crores Every Year?

- Illegal profit sharing schemes can have serious consequences for investors. Are you considering investment advisory services in India? It's crucial to be aware of regulatory compliance to safeguard your investments.
Recently, the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) investigated complaints against Maxx Innovation Growth (MIG) and Max Innovation (MI) for allegedly providing investment advisory and portfolio management services without proper registration.
Complaints poured in from individuals like Mr. Gangadhar H, Mr. Satya Prakash Pandey, Mr. Amarendra Kumar Singh, and Ms. Sangita, alleging various fraudulent practices by MIG and MI. These included luring investors with promises of high returns, creating fake portfolios, and misappropriating funds.
SEBI's examination revealed that both MIG and MI were operating websites offering investment advisory services without SEBI registration. Bank account analyses confirmed that fees were collected for these services.
Consequently, SEBI issued Show Cause Notices to the proprietors of MIG and MI, Mr. Vishal Lath and Mr. Jitendra Bharbhuja respectively, along with Mr. Vipin Sharma.
Despite opportunities for hearings and responses, the Notices failed to provide satisfactory explanations. SEBI found them in violation of SEBI Act, 1992, and associated regulations, including engaging in fraudulent practices.
As a result, SEBI directed the Notices to refund the amounts received from clients within three months, accompanied by public notices detailing refund procedures. Further, they were restrained from accessing the securities market for two years and were imposed with penalties under relevant sections of the SEBI Act.
Clients affected by MIG and MI's activities were encouraged to explore legal remedies. SEBI ensures strict compliance by notifying relevant parties, including stock exchanges, banks, depositories, and mutual fund registrars.
SEBI's proactive investigation and decisive actions underscore its commitment to safeguarding investors' interests and maintaining integrity in India's financial markets.

thank you for this initiative sir. one thing i hv noticed that whenever someone opens an account with any discount broker, the discount broker sells the client information to these frauds. recently i hv opened account with Kotak securities and Upstox. After Kotak securities ac opening they started calling repeatedly even after declining any kind of services. recently i hv opened the Upstox ac and again I got call from another scam center. there should be action against these discount brokers too for selling our data and violation of privacy policy.
