Keiku you're absolutely right! When she started talking about food coloring I thought she would separate the batter into different colors, then when she made it all one color I was waiting for her to pore it into different pans! I was cringing the whole time!
Hannah to get the lid off your blender you just have to push the release button
Also you can only fill a cake pan like half way, so you could have use that one mix for 2, or even 3 pans if you wanted smaller ones. I saw that disaster coming as soon as you poured the first cake
I'm sorry for your cake disaster, but angel food cakes are usually made in a tall cake pan- like a bundt pan because they rise and expand so much. When I saw you fill the little cake pans up to the top i was like NO HANNAH DONT DO IT. I hope that it wasn't too much of a mess :-(
I totally called it. From the very beginning. When she only had one cake pan for the whole first cake. And I have since been dying of laughter. Truly an incredible sight.

Okay, this is going to scream "grocery store wine" but Kendall-Jackson Vitner's Reserve Merlot is amazing. Kinda expensive (depending on your budget) at 17-20 bucks a bottle tho.

This video is so wonderful even though it chronicles what is objectively a disaster. Hannah- you are a gift to the world.
My mom walked in just as Hannah was poking the oven mit into the white cake and said "you bought HER cookbook?" yes mom, she's doing her best!
Suggestion if this happens again (not that I'm not hopeful you have learned from your mistakes or anything...). Just pick apart the sections of the cakes that are cooked, put them each in their own bowl and crumble them up, and then add enough icing in to make a paste/playdough consistency. Roll them into balls, and then jab in a stick/pen/pencil/end of a wooden spoon into them and BAM, *cakepops*!

pls dont ever fill a cake pan over 3/4 (that's the absolute max., 2/3 would be even better) otherwise there's going to be some serious spillage/overflow (especially with such a high rise type like your bisquit) so if you overfill it then the center won't be properly cooked before the sides get burned and dry, its even worse with more dense cake mixtures

You have no idea how much I needed this video today. Got fired, boyfriend crap, horrible birthday, and lots of super fun anxiety. All of that in the span of a week. It's been great. Despite all the garbage, I am choosing to stay optimistic about what my life has in store for me. This video was just a more hilarious and boozy reminder to stay positive. I love u Hannah, for two reasons:
1) I've almost made the same error making a multi tier chocolate cake with my nieces as witnesses. Over filled, then just as I was about to put the pans in the oven my 8 yr old nice said "Aunty - I think it's too much?..."
2) I reeeeeally needed a good laugh post today's jobs working at domestic cleaning - for uber rich and entitled snobs. The first household nearly had me in tears!

the self-cleaning button makes it really hot to kill bacteria

the self clean button actually gets so hot and cooks for so long that anything that has spilled in there pretty much turns into ash and then you can just wipe it out. it usually takes a couple hours and it smells terrible
