When in doubt, keep blending! (That's a lesson I learned with meringue! And makeup.) Also for a topping I've coated fresh-fried, glistening donuts in a cinnamon-sugar combo. That's all I imagine a homemade donut tasting like...
An episode of MDK is like a snapshot of life: Set a task, sometimes follow the directions or sometimes wing it, make mistakes (sometimes learn from then or sometimes repeat them), and results that rarely turn out the way you expected. But at least in MDK there's usually insight on why the unexpected - or even failure - is not necessarily a bad thing. P.S. use a rubber spatula to cream butter/shortening and sugar. And if you don't have a sifter, put all dry ingredients int a bowl and stir them well with a whisk. Just sayin.
Wow, you are so right! I just realised that since two years of me watching MDK I feel like it helped me to be more indulgent with myself and accept my flaws and mistakes. I always knew that she had great spirits (pun intended) but now it's really taking effect and I can feel that! How awesome! Thank you for helping me realise that, Hannah and +Middle Aged Nerd !
"I prefer to think of the kitchen as a metaphor for life. You see, it's really a show about effort and acceptance, giving it your all and then super messing up but being proud of yourself in the end anyway. At least you tried." - Hannah Hart on the meaning of MDK.
Usually I get really nervous and self-conscious whenever I mess up instructions. Especially when I'm cooking. But watching you makes me feel better about that and that it doesn't make me less skilled as a cook. :) Thanks Hannah
I love Hannah because I feel like she is still funny even though sometimes she gets serious. I just really appreciate her getting real while still being a good entertainer.
+Keyon Elkins And that right there is one of the best points of MDK videos, to inspire people to realize they can do things they thought they might not be able to do.
+Ben DuMonde Just had my first experience trying them at Cafe du Monde during my first visit to New Orleans earlier this month.. very yummy! She definitely should make them!
Wait Hannah has learned what creamed together means!! If you don't know what I mean check out season 1 episode 4 "Not so easy, bake oven". My favorite episode by far.
Had a pretty weird/shitty night and was SO glad to see that theres a new video up from you. You have such a calming yet funny, beautiful energy and I'm so glad you are on this planet. Much love x
Oh my gosh this is a moment. I've FINALLY caught up with Hannah. Started watching every episode of kitchen ever from the beginning about....6 months ago? TODAY I'M FINALLY CAUGHT UP. Love you Hannah. You brighten my day. :) Btw your donut "whole" analogy made me go...whoooooaaaaaa. :)
Christ, it has been a while since I last watched your videos, and I came back... And it was worth it. You made me laugh and smile so much! Thank you Hannah!
+flat moe I looove cake doughnuts. Especially the chocolate ones that are kind of crumbly with the like, half-glaze-half-chocolate frosting stuff. Mmm. ^.^
By sifting the dry ingredients you make it easier to mix (because there is air mixed in) and allows the other dry ingredients to be evenly distributed. It's good for when making cake or types of dough
+Krissylynn I... ... I don't know what to say to this. I've never considered such a thing. You may have just opened up a new chapter in my life. So happy I have a deep fryer.
Who would have thought while watching the first episodes of MDK that one day you would be able to successfully make donuts from scratch... I'm so proud of you right now!
+Haru is Jjang I agree :( I mean the video is funny, but she´s obviously not drunk. I would rather have to wait longer between uploads and get a good old drunken video than have these basic cooking videos tbh
I wonder what your absolute drunkest video is. Or like.. have you filmed a video when you got too drunk and ended up feeling like you couldn't post it?
Hannah, after watching the intro I just had to point out that wax paper is not parchment paper. Parchment can go in the oven. Mistaking the two could lead to a fire or something. Loved the video as usual.
Whenever Hannah bakes, my stress level rises (see what I did there?) when she doesn't follow the recipe and then is surprised when it doesn't turn out exactly like it's supposed to.
6:55 My reaction every time I try something new in life that actually looks like it's turning out well. Makes me excited AF :D Gonna be my new catch phrase, "...startin' to look like a mutha f-ing dooouughnuuut!" Gee, thanks Hannah.....*cue inspirational music* thanks for teaching me that, in life, when you try something new...no matter how small (like doughnut holes)....it can make a person so happy....even if it doesn't turn out like you planned (like the doughnut holes)....it will encourage you to do better next time......therefore making you have a brighter outlook on life....because they will aspire to try something new next time....and when that thing turns out well.....won't that just make you happy?....and won't that just make you live a better life?.....*end music* thank you.
A county in Ohio just opened a donut trail highlighting small family run donut shops and I have never been more excited. You can get a donut passport and a t-shirt if you visit all the stops. I want all the donuts now.
Anyone else think Hannah would make an amazing mom? If she ever decides to have kids she's gonna kick ass at it
Haha I totally agree! 👌🏻😀
+Alexasfablife ahahahaha uh maybe
Her and igrid as moms MOM GOALS
omg YES! she would be the best mom in the world
Her little "shoorrttenninggg" wiggle dance was the greatest thing ever.
Ya lol😂
+Breanna Allen I need a gif of that asap
Malaua Perez please .gif gods, bless us with this.
Ikr she's the greatest ever though
+Malaua Perez y donut u just make ur own
Vodka makes hannah... interesting. Different than wine-drunk hannah.
+Julia S it's more philosophical I noticed that too
Haha ikr :D
Yes!!! I was so thinking the same thing! :)
+Julia S more deeply philosophical?
+Julia S shouldn´t she be more philosophical when wine-drunk? 0_0
Clearly the rules of life don´t apply to hannah ^^
When in doubt, keep blending! (That's a lesson I learned with meringue! And makeup.)
Also for a topping I've coated fresh-fried, glistening donuts in a cinnamon-sugar combo. That's all I imagine a homemade donut tasting like...
I thought "fresh fried" said "fried fish"😂
+horsedancer123 I read it like that too
+horsedancer123 That's okay, at first I read "keep bleeding" instead of "keep blending"
+horsedancer123 sammeeeeee!! howww?!?!
I don't know but it's amazing (great minds think alike)!
An episode of MDK is like a snapshot of life: Set a task, sometimes follow the directions or sometimes wing it, make mistakes (sometimes learn from then or sometimes repeat them), and results that rarely turn out the way you expected. +lillimarleennight You're welcome!
"I prefer to think of the kitchen as a metaphor for life. You see, it's really a show about effort and acceptance, giving it your all and then super messing up but being proud of yourself in the end anyway. At least you tried." - Hannah Hart on the meaning of MDK.
***** I think I was just waiting for it to hit me and now it did (y) yes
+Middle Aged Nerd #truth
I think Hannah just blew her mind with the hole/whole thing..
yeah
Ikr :)
Haha yeah😂😂
+tekguru8 #drunkthoughts
#HannahHart'sDrunkenDonutThoughts
The donut (w)hole was too deep. I need to go lie down and think about my life.
Hannah's sincere moments over slow music have become my favourite parts of MDK :) Also was she blowing bubbles in her drink haha?
Mine too.
petition for MDK episodes to always be 9-10 minutes long, this was wonderful
i love every single word of hers. she's just hilarious. love her so much. cant get enough
Same :)
+Selma D Have you rad her book? If not, then i encourage you to do so. You will love her even more.
Ingrid must have been so happy you made donuts, those looked bomb
I would love to see the absolute chaos of you trying to make a jelly-filled doughnut.
This is one of the funniest my drunk kitchens I've seen in a while 😂😂❤️
AND NOW I WANT DONUTS 😂😩
+Daniel Mezquita same omg 😂
+Daniel Mezquita I ate a donut while watching this. so good.
Stephanie Roe IM SO JEALOUSSSS AHH
Same!
Same!
Anything you deep fry instantly turns good
DAVID !!
What videos do I not see you on.
Try good mythical morning did a deep fried episode where glasses get fried and I believe taste tested XD
how come up comment on other video but never comment on your video
+DavidParody Except for, you know, when you accidentally deep fry a finger.
The way you worked through talking about a donut hole vs a donut whole sort of blew my mind.
I love using the UA-cam recommendations and binge watching MDK videos. I somehow manage to go back and forth between your old kitchen and the new one.
I donut even know what to say, these look (w)holesome and delicious!
+seth7123 Thank you for that. Not even sarcastic.
Agreed :)
Haha this comment is perfection!😂👌🏻
+seth7123 You win bro, you win!
+seth7123 Wholesome...
Usually I get really nervous and self-conscious whenever I mess up instructions. Especially when I'm cooking. But watching you makes me feel better about that and that it doesn't make me less skilled as a cook. :) Thanks Hannah
What I learned today is:
1. Cucumber vodka is very refreshing
2. Hannah's donut fryer (friar) is apparently above the law.
Your MDK game has gotten stronger recently. I really loved this one.
"PLEASE WORK THANK YOU" - me in any cooking situation 😂😂😂
I love Hannah because I feel like she is still funny even though sometimes she gets serious. I just really appreciate her getting real while still being a good entertainer.
This episode has given me an impulse to purchase and consume cucumber vodka.
Over the past year or so since I finally subscribed to Hannah (I know, I was really late), she has slowly but surely become my favourite person.
didn't the words "cream together" a thing in an old mdk and she was like " I just gonna assume it was a typo and they ment cram" lol
+jerkygirlx I'm glad someone else noticed that too!
The one where she bakes cookies
You know what .... If Hannah can make donuts I can lmao
Hopefully that didn't sound rude
it does a little but its ok :-)
it does a little but its ok :-)
+Keyon Elkins she inspires to work in the kitchen. i understand you :P
+Keyon Elkins And that right there is one of the best points of MDK videos, to inspire people to realize they can do things they thought they might not be able to do.
this is definitely one of my favorite videos. i laughed so hard. do more of these type of videos.
You should make Beignets for Mardi Gras! They're like donuts except square and not cakey because no one likes cake donuts ._.
Yas!!! I absolutely love those!!!
+Ben DuMonde Just had my first experience trying them at Cafe du Monde during my first visit to New Orleans earlier this month.. very yummy! She definitely should make them!
+Ben DuMonde Or King Cake :D
+Ben DuMonde Beignets are MAGIC!!!!!
Hannah's consistent attempts at adding depth to her videos.. I got choo.
we call the donut hole timbits because its from timhortons
+sabrina furlong Which I've always thought is pretty insulting and fucked up considering he was in pieces after he crashed his car on the qe.
+Eggs Benedict Crumplesnatch did he i knew there was a guy called tom horton i just didnt know how he died
Robert Doe
I don't know for sure, but my family grew up right around the corner..it's the story I've heard all my life.
"Let's talk about spiritual hunger..." I laughed so hard!
Much love x
Is Hannah learning how to cook? Should we be concerned? Or proud? Both? Either way it's kinda weird
You just keep getting better and better. Watching your videos after a long day is so.....AWESOME! Love you Hannah!
the donut holes were basically oliebollen (dutchies!)
Ja dacht ik ook al 😂
+Liz Borema was thinking the same thing xD
oliebollen zijn zo vies haha
Nee t is wel anders xx
Never looking at doughnut holes the same way again. They have so much love to give and we never knew.
"yikes yikes yikes that is so weird"... Day made.
I seriously almost started crying when Hannah was explaining the donut "whole"
The more I watch MDK, the more the line between drunk Hannah and sober Hannah gets blurry.
Personality-wise, I mean.
I don't care what people say, doughnut [w]holes will always be timbits in my heart.
:D
To me they are forever and always be munchkins
+stephanie cohen *will*
same
Yass✌️
I loved your moment of silent reflection that went on a bit longer than I anticipated. Kudos to you, my dear.
Anyone else want her to just go "Blah blah blah..." at least once when she starts to get "philosophical"?
No
Watching these videos remind me of all the years growing up me and my little sister were learning how to bake and make candy for the holidays!
1:28 This is why I love Hannah Hart 😂💓👌
You know what, forget that I love this while video
i love how hannah has some deep meaning in every drunk kitchen
Am I the only one who lost the plot halfway through the donut ideology? XD
Christ, it has been a while since I last watched your videos, and I came back... And it was worth it. You made me laugh and smile so much! Thank you Hannah!
drunk hannah is smarter than sober me
Watching Hannah Hart in the morning. What a perfect way to start the day!😄
i like cake donuts
NO! THEY CANT BE CAKEY 😂
+flat moe I looove cake doughnuts. Especially the chocolate ones that are kind of crumbly with the like, half-glaze-half-chocolate frosting stuff.
Mmm. ^.^
they taste better from the inside ,,, most normal cheap donuts taste like bread in the inside
+flat moe It's a classic in Canada. Most American's seem to really hate them.
Cake donuts are everything to me
I like the fact that a work surface is rarely part of Hannah's recipies. 😊
Don't worry guys, she's not as think as we drunk she is
This video legitimately makes me so so happy. I love you Hannah.
INGRID LOVES DONUTSSSSSS
By sifting the dry ingredients you make it easier to mix (because there is air mixed in) and allows the other dry ingredients to be evenly distributed. It's good for when making cake or types of dough
My mum just came into the room and asked "Is that Ellen Degeneres?"
"We all share a donut hunger."
Speaking directly to my heart as usual, Hannah 😢
I bet Hannah would like donuts made from canned biscuit dough those are amazing.
+Krissylynn I... ... I don't know what to say to this. I've never considered such a thing. You may have just opened up a new chapter in my life. So happy I have a deep fryer.
+Middle Aged Nerd it's my honor to bring you the gospel that is biscuit dough donuts, they truly are amazing.
Those are my fave I always buy the pillsbury crescent roll dough and fry it to make doughnut holes and I put sugar and cinnamon on them
That donut actually looked really good.. when she bit into it my mouth started watering!
RIP Vodka. 21.1.16 - 21.1.16
I could not stop laughing from start to finish- this is the first video I've seen of yours and the first thing that's made me laugh all day! LOVE.
Drinking and deep frying sounds sooooooooo frightening.
Who would have thought while watching the first episodes of MDK that one day you would be able to successfully make donuts from scratch... I'm so proud of you right now!
It's "Doughnut" not "Donut", because they are made of dough not do.
dough or doughnut; there is no fry.
dough or doughnut; there is no fry.
dough or doughnut, there is no fry.
dough or doughnut, there is no fry.
+Ian Albert Bro. Language changes. Some words get shortened, or start to mean different things. S'ok.
I love how positive you are Hannah!
The "drunk" part of MDK seems less and less present in these videos :(
+Haru is Jjang I agree :( I mean the video is funny, but she´s obviously not drunk. I would rather have to wait longer between uploads and get a good old drunken video than have these basic cooking videos tbh
I think it's more what she's drinking she's usually drunker on wine
you always put a smile on my face , I love you Hannah
I wonder what your absolute drunkest video is. Or like.. have you filmed a video when you got too drunk and ended up feeling like you couldn't post it?
She was pretty wasted in her ice cream video, it was so funny :D
You should check out macaroni salad and drunk pumkin I feel like those are her most wasted ones :)
The thick mint video is definitely her drunkest
Thanks for the suggestions everyone :) Could definitely use a good laugh today :)
+Haley Ivers she was super drunk in her first video.
When she was talking about 'spiritual hunger' she looked so angelic
The change from the large bowl to the medium bow cracked me up. Man, I am so easy to entertain.
I was so invested in what Hannah was saying that when you heard the click I literally jumped, it actually startled me. Lol
this was maybe your best MDK and that's saying something cuz they're all so good
Just started watching you, you're funny asl😂 literally me in the kitchen😂 I love you already 🤘🏽
The amount of dumb jokes made me SO HAPPY! your videos always make me smile! !!
first thing i noticed was the rag that says "this may be wine talking but i love wine". Best ever!
Whenever I watch people cooking I'm so fascinated by all the different bowls people have lmao
live and let live! is what serious hannah moment inspired
I was feeling so depressed and almost suicidal but I clicked on your video and you just make me feel so much better. Thank you.
Her "donut whole" and "deep friar" speeches were especially inspirational.😂😂
Hannah, after watching the intro I just had to point out that wax paper is not parchment paper. Parchment can go in the oven. Mistaking the two could lead to a fire or something. Loved the video as usual.
I really really love Hannah's Misadventures in Baking.
Whenever Hannah bakes, my stress level rises (see what I did there?) when she doesn't follow the recipe and then is surprised when it doesn't turn out exactly like it's supposed to.
This is literally EVERY time I try to bake. "Please work, thank you!"
I love how excited she gets
Hannah your voice is perfect for an animated film. Dear Disney, I want Hannah to be the lead on your next animation movie !
I don't know why but I don't get drunk and watch Hannah but every thing she does is funny.
This was probablely my favorite My Drunk Kitchen! lolol
your puns in these videos always make my day
I can't handle this video. 😂😂 this absolutely turned around my day! I love you Hannah Hart.
I love how she has a deep frier but not a sifter...love her priorities!
A county in Ohio just opened a donut trail highlighting small family run donut shops and I have never been more excited. You can get a donut passport and a t-shirt if you visit all the stops. I want all the donuts now.
Love the free styling comedy, much love!
I've been loving your tuesday videos, but this was a great MDK!
I felt like when you said "I think I prefer croissants" it was like you coming out. I love it!
hannah is very inspirational when she is drunk
Had a bad day, came home to a new mdk to smile about :) Thank you Hannah
