  • 🤔 Wondering whether to do sciatic nerve flossing?
While it's said to release the nerve, is it truly effective or could it worsen your condition? 🚫
💡Contrary to popular belief, the nerve isn't typically "stuck"-inflammation from an injured spinal disc is often the cause of the pain.
And rounding over to perform the flossing motion will actually put more stress on your injured disc.
For relief, consider contrast therapy: alternating hot and cold treatments for 5 minutes each, repeated 2-3 times. 🔥❄️
This helps reduce inflammation and soothe the affected area. Focus this on the lower back, where the nerves originate, up to 3-5 times a day for optimal relief.

Did 20 mins with an ice pack and then 20 mins hot water bottle on my lower back twice yesterday and just had the first morning not waking up in agony today! Sciatica has gone from a 9/10 to almost a 0. Came across this video this morning so seems legit! Note: Do not stretch your hamstrings like doctors or physios tell you!

Can you demonstrate what sciatic nerve flossing is so we know what not to do?

Sciatic flossing is not something we recommend - you’re making the problem worse :(

@@WavyFBaby Ah, well it is going to help healing so it would be "part of the solution" but you have to do the rehab work too :) It does work well on the management of inflammation & pain well though when used regularly :)
