Wanda Maximoff, also known as The Scarlet Witch, is a native of Sokovia who grew up with her fraternal twin brother, Pietro. In an effort to help purge their country of strife, the twins joined HYDRA and agreed to undergo experiments with the Scepter under the supervision of Wolfgang von Strucker. While her brother developed super-speed, Wanda attained various psionic abilities. When HYDRA fell, the twins joined Ultron to get their revenge on Tony Stark over his weapons killing their family in a bombing, but eventually abandoned him when they discovered Ultron's true intentions to destroy Earth. Wanda and Pietro fought with the Avengers during the Battle of Sokovia to stop Ultron; Pietro was killed during the battle but Wanda survived, and shortly after Ultron's destruction, became a member of the Avengers.
During the Avengers Civil War, she sided with Captain America and was briefly imprisoned on the Raft before Rogers freed her alongside his teammates. Over the next two years, Maximoff reunited and reconciled with Vision, and together the two started living off the grid in Europe, forming a romantic relationship.
However, the two soon came under threat from Thanos and the Black Order, who sought the Mind Stone. After being ambushed by the Order, they sought refuge in Wakanda with the remaining Avengers. Maximoff took part in the city's defense when the Order invaded the city; she died in the Snap after Thanos completed the Infinity Gauntlet. After the effects of the Snap were undone in 2023, Maximoff was among the many heroes who fought during the Battle of Earth, defeating Thanos and his armies.
Soon after, Maximoff became overwhelmed by immense grief from her recent personal losses. Unknown to her, Maximoff was born with the latent magical ability to harness Chaos Magic, which had been later unlocked and amplified by the Mind Stone. This ability was in fact so rare that it was foretold in the Darkhold that only a legendary being known as the Scarlet Witch could control it. In her sorrow, Scarlet Witch unleashed her true power, generating an alternate world of classical sitcom tropes in the process. Weaving the spell across the town of Westview, Maximoff enthralled its unconsenting inhabitants as cast members, and cut the town off from the outside world through an energy field called the Hex. With a recreated Vision as her husband, Maximoff used her powers to create her ideal life, even producing twin sons, Tommy and Billy. However, the outside world quickly became aware of the event and began making attempts to break through the illusion, putting Wanda's paradise at risk. Only further complicating the crisis was Agatha Harkness, a fellow witch who sought to understand the nature of Maximoff's new reality. After defeating Harkness and realizing the amount of damage she had done to Westview, Maximoff dispelled the Hex, erasing her husband and two kids in the process. Maximoff then fled to a remote log cabin, where she began reading the Darkhold to learn more about her abilities.

The fact that she’s still not really close to her full potential is so terrifying. Also glad to see her finally get the shine she deserves..easily my favorite character can’t wait to see more of her.

Even Loki had access to it when he was King. He was able to fire Odinforce-blasts from the Spear.
I think her reality warping is so underrated. She was able to expand the hex for miles and just suck everyone in and turn them into clowns and circus. She can just turn anyone into a clown who becomes under her mind manipulation. And she does that, while not even realizing she does it. Magic on autopilot as Agatha says. It's insane. Definietly top 1 most powerful Avenger

Honestly all of her most powerful moments come from emotional ones. Parents killed? She uses a probability hex to stop the bomb without even knowing. Pietro dies? She wipes out Ultron's army and rips out his heart. Vision dies? She nearly rips Thanos limb from limb and creates the hex upon realising she won't even get to bury him
@@caitrionaryan3662 Yep, and that is a great depiction of a character that powerful. It will limit the character to intervene to threats that she can just easily fight. Wanda's abilties ties in to what she feels. It ties in to her emotions, so unless she's emotionally provoked she will not unleash her full abilities. That's actually great writing there for her MCU future.

ALSO, in wandavision, hayward was tracking decay signatures of vibranium. that means wanda literally CREATED vibranium when she made vision

She was able to break Uru metal, which is way stronger. So her magic could definitely replicate vibranium

The facts that she was able to not just *shatter* an infinity stone, but also fully replicated the powers of said stone within the hex with her version of Vision, tells you all you need to know.
Well she is not limited to one universe in power lvls so I can see why its possible.
it was explained that only an infinity stone can destroy itself (and it wouldn't totally disappear, as it's an universal rule, destroying the mind stone would erase the concept of mind from the universe). Wanda power comes from the mind stone, so she can destroy it. Also she didn't "fully replicate" the powers of said stone, she litterally used the fragment of mind stone in her body as a basis

I know the power level gets creeped but it feels like she is a bit too high so i think going to actully become a fallen hero / corrupted
If the Dark hold was in sanctum before, it means its previous owner has been defeated before.
There are many interpretation of magic. One thing for sure, the greater power comes with hella more rules and regulations, and most important part- price.
There must be beings more powerful or on par with Darkhold. It's just more tedious and need extra steps to defeat her and the being behind that cursed book.

Wanda is definitely my favorite mcu character, Doctor Strange is a close second, and Elizabeth Olsen is one of my favorite actresses. She made the avengers movies for me, I'm so glad to see her in a more prominent role.

I think its still ethically a problem. You're not supposed to be able to raise anyone from the dead that you want to. They would never really be alive and back. They even said that vision was made from her memories of him, it would never be the real vision. She kind of learned this at the end of Wandavision. She needs to let go and move on.

I would imagine an easier solution is to transfer their consciousnesses into a living body, presumably a body A) Comatose or brain dead (But if you could do that, you could also fix the original person, so it's still unethical). B) Conceive of a whole new real body, and bind the soul or consciousnesses to the baby as it grows from conception itself, so there is never an opportunity for a new original soul to claim the body in the first place, so you minimize any possibility of replacing anyone else.) Once it has matured, you could rebind or reinforce the binding to reassert memories lost in development. As an infant let alone a fetus can't really retain those memories or personalities. So you reapply the effect when they're old enough to hold it. In that scenario you're still rewriting a person, but it's more like fixing someone with amnesia than hijacking an innocent.
At this point she’s the most powerful mcu being of course apart from dormammu and the dark dimension gods but after mastering the darkhold doctors strange won’t even be a challenge in hacks

The fact that her powers were COMPLETELY blocked by Agata's runes has to be considered, it is an important limitation/vulnerability

I'd like to think of Scarlet Witch's power in MCU going forward as the psychic equivalent of Hulk with fighting techniques. Wanda was using her power raw like Hulk just smashes, but using her vast telepathic power to learn spells from darkhold as the Scarlet Witch, it makes sense she was said to be more powerful than Sorcerer Supreme.
@JAYLEE FARLEY what part of my post mention about hulk being stronger, I am just saying imagine if Hulk fights with actual combat techniques, that's what Scarlet Witch is becoming in the MCU compare to her previous self as Wanda.

The real purpose of WandaVision is to gear us all up for the Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness movie.

Marvel doesn't make movies so a fictional character can experience psychological growth. They do it to make money.
Prepping us for DS2 will make them money.
They're doing it for us to appreciate, and them to make money. They're not doing it so Wanda can face "reality", which is all cinematic fiction anyway. So no, she's not facing reality.
Vision never existed, and the actor is still alive.
Wanda never existed. She doesn't have flaws. She's not the Scarlet Witch. It's fiction.
Any emotional healing is therefore fictional anyway. They could have just had her say, "I'm fine now" like they did with the Hulk in Endgame. That all happened off-camera.
This is to plant the seeds for future profits. DS2 could easily gross over $1B domestically. Both Wanda and DS were featured prominently in Infinity War and Endgame. People will pay money to see the next adventure.
This is a serious cash cow about to happen.

Wanda now has access to unlimited powers from the Darkhold, which makes her even stronger from her reality warping chaos magic. This amplifies her already powerful magic together with the piece of the mind stone inside of her.
The Scarlet Witch is literally a nexus being capable of rewriting reality on a universal scale. Her chaos magic exceeds that of even the Sorcerer Supreme.

with the only ones more powerful than her in the MCU are the celestials, dormammu, Thanos full gauntlet and the living tribunal(he is in M.O.M) and supreme strange with darkhold( he literally defeated 5 gauntlet thanos and caused an incursion between 2 universes that resulted to their demise

Wong : The Scarlet Witch is a being of unfathomable powers, she can rewrite reality if she pleases, she is destined to either rule over the cosmos or destroy it.
Multiverse madness was so scary how powerful she was
Wanda is still a glass cannon. Every teamfight she's been in, she couldn't use her powers to full effect because no one protected her, and she kept getting flanked and interrupted (War Machine in the airport fight, Proxima Midnight in the Wakanda fight, Thanos' artillery in the Endgame fight). She needs to learn some good defensive spells for herself so that stops happening. Copying invisibility/teleportation from Agatha was a good first step.
And she got an upgrade. She survived an attack from white vision who made shockwaves with his punches. And also survived an RV explosion. So unless you plant a c4. You can't kill her.
Oh dear she willingly put herself down to use her powers ij civil war coz she was fighting with teammates ...you all degrade her powers by saying she got no training, no knowledge ...but now she is reading darkhold and she need just to know how to control her magic and then after u guys will not be able to write glass canon

Honestly, I feel like Wanda can already keep up with Dr. Strange's intelligence and wits. I mean, look how many times Wanda tricked Agatha in the last episode. She not only used her powers, she also used her brain to defeat Agatha which is incredibly impressive. The way she used her magic to manipulate the car instead of directly throwing out her magic to Agatha was already impressive enough. Add that up with her ability to adapt to situations such as copying Agatha's tricks like teleportation and the runes. Stop saying she has no fight against Dr. Strange's intelligence. Sure he's increeedibly good, but don't discredit Wanda's intellect.

Now, look back to Strange, the dude went toe to toe with Thanos with his magic, using any kind og spell.

He isn't a human, he's an asgardian. Just because humans are seen as slow and oafish when fat does not correlate to asgardians in the same state. Look at his best friend (names escaping me) who was immensely strong in combat given he is also of larger size. Just because he's fat, doesn't change the strength he has.

Also she’s a genius and expert tactician as shown in WandaVision she’s not actually taught but after being told she’s a witch she learned to teleport and create runes, she often learns to overcome extremely easily. In Multiverse of Madness she learns how to take over the Mirror Dimension having not encountered it before, she then takes over reflections and can adapt. In fact she’s only defeated in MOM by herself.
Her expert tactician really shined in Multiverse of Madness. She knew Blackbolt is a real powerhouse so she takes on him with *What Mouth* . She spaghettified Reed with his own power, elasticity. She knew Captain Carter's shield could split Wanda in half so she kept throwing the shield so that Peggy couldn't access her shield. Wanda knew Captain Marvel could absorb Wanda's power so Wanda didn't attack Maria with her hex bolts instead she just yeeted her a statue. She knows she couldn't 2v1 since it's 838 Wanda is not as powerful as the 616 Scarlet Witch that's why that she yeeted Captain Marvel. And then there's 1v1 with Captain Carter so she just split her in half with her own shield. Then Maria showed up and she just drained Maria's power and just used that power to make an explosion. And she just threw a statue on her. Finally, we did see in Wandavision Finale that Wanda tried to get into Agatha's mind and show her nightmares. Instead Agatha broke Wanda's spell and used her spell against her. That's spell breaking happened with Professor X. He got into Wanda's mind and tried but Wanda broke under Professor X's mind and just split his head. And also during chasing in the tunnel,Wanda used teleportation to get through the door. Homegirl is definitely genius.

I had a theory that in MOM the Illuminati weren’t really warned by Mordo as their Sorcerer Supreme whereas Wong knew exactly how powerful the Scarlet Witch would be. I think he didn’t warn them appropriately as he wanted her weakened to try steal her power for himself, as there was a deleted scene where our 838 Mordo attacked Wanda at the beginning of the film and she destroyed him, but they decided to leave it out, so Wanda wasn’t revealed as the villain immediately and to leave Mordo available for future films.
I think he could’ve been a bad guy all along, Especially as Strange called out 616 Mordo asking had he told him to use the Darkhold so he’d be corrupted, so could get rid of him to be the Sorcerer Supreme as he was jealous he didn’t deny it either.

Her reality wrapping, Telekineses and Telepath already made her 500% above beyond the other Avengers. Chaos Magic is powerful enough to compete with all the Infinity Stone (minus the Time Stone)
Well at HOM she defeated Phoenix several times although Phoenix cannot be killed and was reborn again, Chaos Magic is the anti of the Phoenix Force, they are the Yin and Yang of the cosmic energies
Is it possible that the blip could also play a role in amping mcu Wanda's powers? If any of you have seen the watchmen then I'm sure you remember the scene where Jon ostermans physical body is let go by the absence of the universes 4 fundamental laws. Just a thought but the blip could have worked on the same machanics and have given wanda experience in becoming intangible or a host of other things by controlling those 4 laws?

Heres a question. When power scaling thanos do u include thanos' power with the infinite gauntlet? No. Thought so. So why would thor not get the same treatment.
Stormbreaker is also made of the same material and is more of a hard counter to the gauntlet thanks to the russos confirming this, it’s not necessarily a strength feat

With the way they're setting her up I think she could be the big thing to cause the next big crossover, and if Eternal establishes anything, I can see her being the thing to bring mutants to the mcu. I mean, we've seen her abilities give people permanent powers like with Monica. And I can see them establishing that people have been through two uses of the full power of the infinity stones causing a change to start in people's DNA
I still think Dr. Strange is more powerful, because he has mastered his powers, Wanda still has a lot to learn, and it has been shown that just having raw power and no skill makes you worse than a less powerful skilled opponent.
Yeah but Wanda doesn’t need a lot of instruction because her powers don’t need hand signs or incantations, plus she just found out about her powers, DOUBLE PLUS she’s reading the dark hold at the end so she’s fs getting some tricks up her sleeve. I’m not completely sold that she outclasses doctor strange yet but I could see it going either way

I think you guys don’t realize, that she still allows her emotions control her power, and she cannot control it. Also we don’t know if Doctor Strange has reached his full potential, as he is fairly new to the mystic arts, but has already mastered him, the Ancient One even says he is one of their most gifted sorcerers.
@@toby1061 look man so far I think Wanda is stronger than Dr.Strange in power but in skill that is where Dr.Strange excels and some of Wanda’s power comes from the mind stone so it really seems Wanda will be stronger than Dr.Strange.
Scarlet Witch is a walking gauntlet:
Power Stone: She uses stronger energy blast, when up against Thanos, she disintegrated part of his blade, used strong enough power energy to destroy the mind stone
Space Stone: She can teleport, create shields, barriers like the hex, control others movement like she did to T'Challa in CW like Thanos with Loki
Soul Stone: Create new characters like her kids, control other people's souls and create some new identity in them completely (some of these may be mind stone as well)
Mind Stone: Create vision, control minds to her liking and needs, replicate the mind stone which is why she couldn't control vision as much, give people their own minds like artificial intelligence but to her liking
Time Stone: Obviously rewind time, control night and day in her reality, freeze time completely
Reality Stone: Basically the show🤣

She is the straight up definition of a glass cannon really, very very powerful but very very fragile
She's not fragile. If you pay attention to all the movies, after all that she went through, she got right back up. And while typing this I just realized, she has gotten thrown around like a ragdoll (by Proxima Midnight and Thanos' ship beam) she has never got severely injured. No bruises, no bandages, no broken bones. The most physical injury I've seen her with was the cut she had on her forehead in Infinity War. And it was a scar in Endgame which for her was 5 minutes later.
Thank u for mentioning her speed and martial arts cuz people always say her opponent can speed blitz her or that shes slow when she has amazing reaction speed even in her first appearance in aou, and people also say she cant fight without her powers when she was literally trained by some of the most skilled martial artist (aka natasha and steve)

Very rarely does fiction introduce prophecies that don't come true in some shape or form. Even the prophecy of Ragnorak comes true in a technical way. Agatha didn't say Wanda just had the power to destroy the world, but that she will. I'm not expecting anyone to have the answer, but I am excited, and a little scared, as I love Wanda so much, to see where this goes.
The Scarlet Witch The Most Powerful And Hottest Hero In The MCU
Since Iron Man is gone now, she is definitely my new favorite hero. And I love how she isn’t forced to be lovable like how Captain Marvel is, she’s strong and it feels natural, and if Disney somehow fires Elizabeth, I will officially be done with them and their attempts to pander to social justice people who don’t even watch their movies.

Thor has enough durability to tank some of Wanda’s powers, as show from infinity war when Thor toke the force of a dying star. All Thor would need to do is send some lighting down Wanda’s way or throw Stormbreaker and it’s over.
@Caio Barroso Far as I’m aware, Thanos is a physical powerhouse so of course when Wanda held him helpless he couldn’t do anything. Thor controls lightning at will whenever he wants, even when held by Wanda, and that is at the speed of lightning. Wanda can’t react faster than that. Only way I see it, as you said is that Wanda has to use her mind powers to distract Thor. But if Thor has the Odin force and learns to use it, it’s a stomp.

@@brianm3160 Nope. Not on a base level. When Wanda is mentally unstable is when she exceeds Strange's power. My problem is that the MCU is trying to keep her powers where they are and keep increasing it.
