Great video. Out of interest, can a UK qualified GP do remote consultations being out of country? Or work for the UK remote consultations company living outside the UK (considering that has a UK licence to practice)? Thanks 🙏🏻
Hello, thanks for watching and commenting! As mentioned in the video, you can work in a UK practice from abroad (yes if you have a licence to practice) but it depends what company/practice you work for as not everyone has the same stipulations! Hope that helps!
Hello! I love your videos they are very helpful! am a GP in London and looking for fully remote role do you have any suggestions of who I could contact for this ? Thankyou so much Zara
Hi! Thanks so much! Glad they are helpful! The nhs jobs website and LinkedIn are great places to start! Some locum agencies also have some remote roles too!
Hi! Thanks for watching and for your question! You can ask the surgery if they will provide you with access. Laptop is for business use. Any more questions please let me know!
@@DrPBaptiste Thanks for your reply. Yes, for business I meant. How do you get emis and systmone on the business laptop? Do you have to personally buy the emis/systmone applications and then the surgeries give you access to their domain?
If you are working for a surgery they can provide you with access. I personally have not had to pay for any application; if you are working for a surgery I do not think they would charge you but these are all questions to ask if you are considering purchasing your own equipment i.e laptop. Hope that helps!
9-11K per session??? thats like almost 50K if you do 5 sessions a week and almost 200K a months, how is that possible? can you please clarify the salary.
Hi, thanks for watching and commenting! In my earlier video 'how much do GPs earn ?' I go into this in more detail. Its per annum! So 50k/ year. Hope that helps!
MrMegasayf, Dr Baptiste means £10,000 per session per year. So if you work 4 hours a day seeing 5 patients per hour, and do this 5 days a week your salary will be £50,000 per year before tax.
@@MrMegasayfI would not say it's awful, especially as you are only working 4 hours a day 5 days a week. However the main ways to make better money as a GP is to locum (approx £600 a day for approx 10 hour day seeing/speaking to approx 40 patients a day). Or owning your own GP practice where before tax pay starts at approx £120000 but you have to work even harder (approx 40 patients a day plus business paperwork) 4 days a week (I say 4 days a week when you own a practice as literally hardly any GPs work 5 days a week 10 hour days because it's mentally impossible. Dr Baptiste has a good video about owning your own practice (known as being a GP partner) Also what country are you from that you feel £50,000 for 4 hours a day 5 days a week as a doctor is a little bit of money? Maybe we should live in your country lol
I would like to thank you for these GOLD videos. I know it might seem like your channel is not going anywhere, but I hope you dont give up on it and keep on posting :) one advice I can give you is to be active on İnstagram and especially Tiktok as well, doctors do really well on tiktok and grow very fast, you can just direct all your tiktok audience to your youtube channel :) Dr Ollie
Hi! Thanks so much! Yes it's a lot to be on all social media channels! I need someone to help me lol one day if my life is not so hectic I'll join tik tok too! 😂

If you get a work laptop for your own use, how do you get setup for Emis/SystmOne and accessing particular GP surgeries network? Thank you
