Forget the water feature. They don't go together. Misting is okay. I used a 13-14v CFL for each one, kept about an inch above the glass. But I'm testing out some 5050 LEDs.
The clay can dry and it will still stick. You may want to add silicone in the back first, so it has ridges to stick too. You don't need calcium carbonate.
Yep. Make the terrarium first. Most people suggest letting it settle a week or two before adding a frog. You can add most plants, but many people prefer using plants from the same area as the frog came from. No idea about Australia.
AAA tropical frog soil mix wasnt easy to find I need more info on that and then the clay mix I guess from Home Depot. What I am wondering is all this stuff good for beetle, spider, millipede, newt etc and inverts in general I am not going to be housing the dart frogs.
Like 2/3 Bentonite 325. It's the main substance you want. 1/3 Redart clay to make it darker. And then a small amount of Calcium Carbonate. Really so it get's in the water and help the frogs out. Too much and the redart doesn't really darken the clay. Once you have that, just add water, then mix in some sphagnum moss and coco fiber to keep it solid. I never measured how much.
I used to use great stuff expanding foam. Any reason why you stopped using clay? Seems to me that the calcium carbonite would be excellent for enriching the springtails with calcium.
I've looked on ebay and a few other websites and I couldn't find the red art clay for the clay background ,but I could find was some pottery and red clay from moccoro , australia and california for face masks .can you tell me a website were I can buy the redart clay or will the red clay for facemasks do fo ,your video is great by the way , keep up the good work

Are you buying locally? I usually get at least 5 pounds, mainly because it costs the same as 2 pounds when you get it from the local dealer. So you'll have some left over. I only do 10 gallon tanks. I'd say 7 pounds of Bentonite and 3 pounds of Redart would be safe. But again 5 pounds of Redart is chaper than 3 pounds. And I think 10 pounds costs the same as 7 pounds.

Turkey baster or a aquarium gravel pump. Generally though most of the humidity dissipates if there is enough ventilation.

We except for the front glass, I don't. And that you just wipe down.

That was just an industrial clamp light from home depot with the clamp removed and a 13w 5000k light in it.

Two words. Misting system. Great idea, but it will erode your clay backgrounds until there is nothing left. Oh yeah, water features will do the same.
