@Rooster CB Radio Connection Sorry, isn't there a maximum power output that should go beyond. Enforced by the FCC. I don't know what that number is anymore. My last cb I bought was a 1997 cobra. I guess the main question is the model that you are talking about. Is it legal? I have never owned anything like that cb radio and I am confused about all the power stuff you and some of the other people are talking. Also, when I bought my last cb. I took it and had what I think was called peak and tune. I just realized that my spelling is crappy.
@@jerrywhere86193 Yes, channel 19 frequency 27.1850 is still to this day restricted to 4 watts. Your cobra/unidens and so on are an 11 meter radio. The Strykers are a 10 meter, they have multiple bands, they push much more power and they do not come with channel 19 set up in them they must be converted by the tech. In other words if you buy the radio online a conversion must be made within the radio. Then the circuitry within the radio needs to be set up to make sure the bios and electrical flow are correct. They are considered an Amateur radio and a license is required to operate one. Does the FCC monitor that? I hope not I have three😂 This man is a good tech so if you buy one from him you should be good. I assume he does the conversion, in some states, like where I live in WA state, they won't touch the radio unless the radio owner has a license. I have their first Stryker produced a 490, it will smoke this radio and the 655 and 955. But, it's been rebuilt more than once mainly because of horrific tech work, this tech will know what I'm talking about.
One of my favorite radios. Awe sounding audio. I also have a Galaxy 47HP two radios designed to compete with eachother lol 😂
Great analogy with the windshield wiper effect.
Finna get me another one
Thanks for the video, ready to try it out, I ran Galaxy for years but I always have trouble understanding people on them
How is the radio doing? Been thinking about getting one of them.
@@klv400 I been liking it takes, some getting used to if u been running a galaxy. I can hear a lot cleaner
@@RattmanPerkins thanks for letting me know
I can't wait to get one of these!! They sound awesome! Is there an external speaker that you would recommend?
I run the chrome Wilson with mine. It has a 4olm speaker. Very clear and loud, I never have to run my volume past 12 o'clock
Sorry, it's been years for cb radio's. I was wondering when the tone and peak are limited? Do you have a video explaining this question?
Read your question, but it isn't computing with me what you mean.

@Mitchell pilon
Thanks. That is what I kind of thought.
👍🏻👍🏻
Does this radio have a bigger case that a Cobra 29? I bought a Ranger RCIX9 and it's big. I'd rather have the smaller case size
Perfect echo, in my opinion.
Please show what the FM dead key power is.
It's whatever your dead key is. There's no modulation on FM. It would be 20 watts on this radio
What best mic noise canceling
Mic gain wide open
SRA198 ranger that has been modified. I sell them $60 shipped, modded
Modded
