Hey! From now on I am restarting with regular video production. This channel will try to focus on different tools for university, work and life! I'd be happy to see you guys around!
Late but great 💕 I just realized that I can't imagine a video without a coffee intro ! Haha , I'm stupid I know But , the overview gives me good vibes ! rM as a good alternative of copies 👍 Congratulations 🎉 you're buying it again 👏 !
good summary, I fully agree - my storage/archive/information system is Evernote (I send my reMarkable notes as PNG to Evernote via email and there they‘re OCR‘d automatically) but your general thoughts and experiences are the same here - I still like the RM2 very, very much.
Thanks for sharing! In your earlier videos, I was wondering about those templates and what they would be good for. I'd be interested in seeing how your organization system developed, because that is one of the main reasons I'm interested in the product.
I had a similar issues with the rM nibs; I found that it would quickly (after a couple weeks of occasional use) start having a rough texture that gets me worried that the screen is going to get scratched. Otherwise, I'm pretty happy with it - I've generally found that their software updates to be regular and helpful, like how they added the view-all-pages button to the main sidebar menu. P.S. cute calendar!
@Connor White I get what you mean. For me as a student, being able to hightlight and underline things is an important aspect, I don't think it takes away from the paper feel and all 😊
Hey! Nice to see that you have a discussion in the comments :) I personally think that adding colours is a step they can't ignore in the future. They shouldn't go for it if it's going to slow down the rM though.
@@EdvardBenson Agreed! I hope they'll at least attempt to work on this option in the future and see where it takes them, if it's doable etc. To me, it would be a serious bonus ^^
Hi Edvard loved your review - one of the reasons that made me purchase my RM2 - think you should get a referral code get a bit of a kickback - also I watched one of your videos and you discuss buckets for organisation, just wondering which book that was, can’t find your video on it
Hey! I tried to find the video you are referring to, but I just can't find it. It has to be one of the "System" videos. Generally, Life Buckets are a concept from GTD ("Getting Things Done") so maybe you can find some additional information about that if you just search directly for it :)
Thanks for the review, for me the most crippling thing is the lack of backlight, how can you work without it? I read and work often the night, like everybody I guess
Hey! I think not having a backlight is kind of what the reMarkable and tablets like that are all about. Most of the times the light of my desk lamp is sufficient enough even at the night, so no worries!
@@EdvardBenson Thanks and when we work outside at the end of the day or early evening? I don't like backlight and I use it as little as possible but I think It can be a real handicap not to have it when we work a lot and everywhere
I am interested in how you use this device for work. I find it an excellent study tool, and great for taking long digital practice tests. When it comes to work, however, so many jobs rely on constant transfer of data that I often resort to my laptop.
Hey! I think the main place of this tool is in notetaking (even for work e.g. taking notes from a meeting etc.). I sometimes use it for sketching things, but this is limited to a more content creation based field of work. You can of course use the rM for personal organization, I tried to scratch that topic in my "Bullet Journal" Video.
Just dropping a comment. Liked the video. Feel the same way about the device, I use it for daily planning and note taking while I’m working and I don’t try to overcomplicate things.
Was about to purchase the Remarkable/2 (despite the fact that there are no local distributors). Then I checked the vendor Warranty. Unfortunately, it's "limited" and only for one year! Almost all the viable alternatives offer 2-3 year options. And in some instances, this includes accidental damage etc. Excessively short Guarantees like this are troubling. In my experience, this indicates that the manufacturer has no confidence in the reliability of their product. Yes, it seems like an innovative & useful device, especially for some specific use-cases. But it's expensive - and I've no interest in purchasing a new one each & every year! Pass.

Hey Klaus! That sounds like a very nice system you have in place! Do you have an extra email only for this purpose?
Super video! Hab selbst nen RM2 seit 7 Monaten und stimm komplett mit dir überein

Yes, I Agree! They add more and more useful features.
Need them to introduce colour to this. But the concept is amazing

What happens when you run out of nibs? Do you have to order more? And pay for shipping?
Hey! Yes, you can just order new ones from their website.
