I'm a TN girl and I appreciate the fact you are enjoying our state. A little history on Rhea Springs Campground...it def IS a beatiful place but for a long while the overseers did not stay on top of the campground. A year ago the campground was filled with junky abandonded rv's, meth labs and strewn garbage. FINALLY, the folks in charge ran the crappy people off, cleaned it up and made it great again. I hope like heck they continue monitoring the area so we can all enjoy it. Thanks for the review.
rhondalyn100 I just visited the area and it was pretty good but there were two spots that appeared to be permanent with a ton of junk around. I hope they don’t let it go again

Smoke on the water, Fire in the sky... der der der, der der, der der. Man what a sunset! There's a moment there when may may's got both paws on your fishing pole very cute. Bombs away Worky in the lake worky in the lake ....and it's not tucker! lol got to get yourself a broomstick with a big hook on the end so you can fish them doggys out of the water! lol --- Once again one awesome, fun, video!

One thing wrong with this campsite, my chair and pole aren’t there!!!! Love those babies, I’m shocked Tucker didn’t go swimming. What a sunset and sunrise! I definitely have to come here before I head west. What a beautiful place.
They close it for the winter- late November/early Dec until spring.

I just love watching your fur babies. I have always wanted a Yorkie but I was blessed with two Airedales and love them dearly. They are basically the same color so my husband tells me they are my yorkie babies. lol

Thanks so much for the info Kevin. I took my music out on the road last fall. My wife agreed to go along with me and live out of the back of my pickup truck. on the way from Nashville to shows in eastern Tennessee and the Carolinas, I recalled seeing this video last year. We decided to stop at Rhea Springs. It was beautiful. We had a couple days to kill so we got some R&R before heading east. I wouldn't have been aware that this place existed if not for your channel. Pam, I am sorry to hear about your Daddy as well. Brave man being a coal miner! I lost my Daddy as well. He was 50 when he died. Has a hernia surgery, got an infection and it went to his heart. BTW...He was a Carter from Texas.

Thumbs up for sharing the spectacular lake views! So serene and relaxing. Had to laugh at the pups, lol that was a great chew stick lol....I had a couple of dogs yrs ago, couldn't take them fishing unless we tied them up. Every time you would cast out the line, in they went chasing it..another time, had my pole propped up on a Y and some big fish grabbed it, tool off and zinggggg went the rod and reel out across the lake and sunk! ughhh! So glad you found an awesome Free spot to spend some time. Shhhhh none of us will tell...........

Hi! Welcome to East Tennessee. There are lots of you tube videos about the towns that were there when TVA flooded the valley and built the dams and lakes. Still fencing from farms under water. I have not been to rhea springs but intend in August 2018. Thanks for your videos.
