I’m going to listen to the takeoff part on repeat all night
Great engine sound!!!
It sure is!
I was on an island hopper flight with a Hawaiian Airlines 717. I’m almost certain I got the same seat as you. It may have been 23.
That’s cool, this is QantasLink and I was on 22F
scrapping a 717 should be a punishable offence!
Nah you mean the 727s and 757s? In all honesty I think the scrapping of any aircraft is heartbreaking
@@BGTech1 Oh I can happily deal with an E-jet or a Dash-8 being scrapped. A 717, a Dc-9 or a 757 not so much!
I’ve never seen a plane take off without stopping at the runway first. Weird.
I’d be surprised. Rolling takeoffs are very common
The venerable MD95!
its a 717
@@retrospectiveish The 717 was going to be called the MD-95 before Boeing bought it
based 😎😎
Flaps?
They were definitely used, but it looks like they weren’t down from the angle
They retract them just after 10:15
Flaps 5 is the standard TO setting for a balanced runway. It’s a tiny amount but it is there.
I thouht the same
Just curious. Was this RyanAir?
Absolutely not, this is QantasLink on the other side of the world! Ryanair does not have 717s.
Ryanairs fleet is only 737 and 737 max at the moment with one a320
@@drxm. Thats right. They have A320s at Lauda but I thought it was more than one? Maybe they got rid of the rest
They have one ryanair livery a320@@RyanZ225_PC
