Wow this is pretty inspirational. One worry I have about moving is having to redo my theater. But seeing your DIY really motivates me. Appreciate the video and explanation.
Thank you Sir. I’m sure you got this. Like I did made it easy for future up grades. Let’s do banana clips no more sticking the wire trough the holes. Don’t you hate doing that LOL. You got this
Your two diffusers are a start but you have a long ways to go with room treatments. Believe me you need plenty more absorbtion acoustic panels then you'll have good sound to enjoy!!!!
15% of the walls being treated with a mix of diffusers / absorbers is great for a home system. Not too live, not too dead. These are the recommendations from renown acoustical engineer Floyd Toole in his book published by the AES.
I agree, you can hear in your own voice the sound reflections. My suggestion’s: 1) You really need to reduce the reflection in the room. 2) the atmos speakers are way too far apart. 3) The room being open to the stairs and lower floor, you will never be able to pressurize the space to get proper base response. You’ve got good equipment. Get the room acoustics dialed in and you’ll be set.
Very nice, awesome job my brotha your system is similar to mines. I have Polk 707's front 703 center with SVS sealed SB 4000 subs and PSB's sides with Psb Atmos on top with Psb's rears and my reference system is Mark Levinson # 380s preamp # 37 transport # 360s dac with Krell 300s driving Martin Logans CLS with SVS SB 4000 subs to compliment the Martin Logan electrostatics. Thx for sharing your passion, you have a good system. Your room is quite big and from my point of view you need absolutly more bass absorbtion, a lot. I can listen room echo in your video. You can DIY big panels of fiber glass in corners, with a big depth (>8 inch). Use REW to make time analysis (spectrogram), you should see by yourself. You have a great room, great hifi stuff, and passion, you will not regret a little investment in serious room threatment, helped with rew.

The new looks is definitely a lot cleaner, sometimes less is more! Very nice job! I also recently reconfigured my system to make the center channel full range. I didn't use a separate subwoofer, I just routed the 40 Hz to 100 Hz band to the left/right dipole woofers and everything below 40 Hz to the ceiling mounted IB subwoofers. I didn't really think it would make that much difference but now that I've done it, it actually does.
Love the planning, passion, and effort that went into this project. You do nice work! For $0 you could consider making some enhancements like taking the front left and right subs off the stands and place them on the floor. Also you could lower your awesome TV by a foot or two for better line of sight. Peace!
Love how clean the front stage looks. I've been wanting to put all my equipment elsewhere to have nothing up front but my LCR,but I have a rather small room, so I'm kinda stuck. Love the setup fam!
Nice remodelled set-up Robby. I like. Suggestions: You should lower the TV about 12-18 inches and lower the sound treatments beside the TV to the back of the two towers (Or, add more at the bottom of those all the way down to the floor, behind the towers). Also, try the front two subs on the floor and see how it sounds.

Great setup. I like the new front stage. Very clean. I need to do something like that. Curious about the sub on the center channel. I would take the bass off the stands in the front. I'm sure you would get better thump.
Thank you. Yes the center channel Sub- it looks like REL is the only one doing this. What you do is take the high-level cable take the black connected to the negative the two wires, the yellow and white I think it is and those two together on the positive side of your center channel and that will give you a dedicated center channel sub
As far as build quality goes, you've done a great job. It was very well thought out and beautifully executed. Job well done. However, personally, it's not the way I would have done things. There's a reason why cable lengths need to be kept to a minimum. Unshielded cables often act as antennas for attracting RF, and the longer the cable, the better the antenna! The result of this will be a heightened noise floor. Being a novice, it probably doesn't bother you, but once the novelty wears off, that's when ones attention will usually start to be drawn to the faint, annoying background signal noise. Hey, it's t's a journey for all of us (me included) Btw, always make sure to turn the system off before disconnecting the Neutrik Speakon connector. I'm looking forward to your next video so I can give you some more beef. Sorry 😢

I go dang you mean I have to do it all over again. LOL it’s like a buffet I take you all wisdom and try to implement into my vision. Thank you
"Racking up the whole system this way," Yeah, I'm sure it would be fine, especially for the family. After all, having music being played throughout the whole house, it's not as if anyone's gonna be doing any critical listening! Look at it this way most people don't notice the background signal noise, and that's ok, and there are some people who do notice the background noise, and yet it doesn't bother them, and that's ok too. But for me personally, I can't put up with it! Maybe I'm just a little over sensitive. I only mention it for the benefit of people who are thinking of going down the same route. As far as your own personal setup is concerned unlike my small 13 x 11.3ft living room, your environment is quite spacious, which probably means, and I'm speculating here more room for the unwanted noise to dissipate.
