That stove board is really expensive. It’s used behind wood burning stove as heat thermal deflection. So your walls are not getting hot and decreases the risks of fire in the walls.
I'm curious, I know y'all are in central Texas so your weather is a little warmer than mine (SW Oklahoma), but does the trash truck make daily rounds there? My town is small so ours only comes once a week. I'm wondering because when you get cold stuff out of the dumpsters, how do you know it's freshly cold and not cold from overnight temps?

We had those boards behind our old wood stove keeps the wall from getting hot and catching fire I think we gave 100 for each one we had
