    I got my dad’s when he passed last year. Black with the black interior with cherry wood. 48,000 miles. I don’t drive it that much. Perfect condition. He took it to lexus for everything. It’s an amazing car.

    I had an 04 LS 430 UL, traded it in 2017 for a 2014 LS 460 F-sport. I want my 430 back in the worst way. If I didn't pump so much money into the 460 and I wasn't at war with my HOA, I'd buy another 430 in the morning. The best car ever made!!

      @@BWItoATXF The wear items costs as much as a house deposit and I'm not even kidding. I love the look of the car and that it's the last NA V8 is the only reason I'm keeping it. My quote for the control arm overhaul with OEM parts was $7k, I got it done for almost $5k, then we have the air suspension which that was under warranty so I dodged that bullet. So in 2024 I had the Valley Plate reseal (this job will make you sick to your stomach cause the injectors sometimes snap during the repair and the injectors are like $400 a pop and I think we have like 8 or 16...), OEM control arms, tie rod ends, High pressure fuel pump reseal, VCG, brakes 2x (F-Sport brakes are EXPENSIVE) and tires... all wearable items and I'm embarassed to tell you how much I spent in total for 2024. That why she's in my garage and I'm shopping for a 430.

      @@BWItoATXF Believe me it was a hard decision, I had figure out ways to make the cash disappear without "Mrs. Boss" asking questions. When the LS is all clean and you open that V8 up you fall in love all over again. That's the only reason I kept her and well not too many F-Sport 460's around. But I want the simplicity of the 430, I miss that car, it's a way better build, higher quality too, I'm so jealous!!

    Beautiful Car. Congrats! I have a 2003 LS430 Ultra. It's my favorite car to driver. About the sound. The sound system is absolutely impeccable, provided the speakers are all working. The LS430 has better sound than my Tesla Model S and Audi Q7. Here's the deal. One of the few design flaws of the LS430 is the speakers detach from the housing. It sounds like a blown speaker. I'll almost guarantee your subwoofer is also detached. They sell "refoaming" kits for LS430s for like 70 bucks. If you are interested, I can walk you through how to do it. There's plenty of UA-cam videos too. Trust me. You do NOT want to change the speakers. Use the OEM. Oh and the Mark Levinson amplifier is super sensitive to blowing if it sees a speaker with a different impedence out of spec. And that costs a shit ton to replace. One final recc...get a GROM audio. They're expensive but worth every penny.

    • @BWItoATXF
      @BWItoATXF  13 днів тому

      Hey thanks man. I’ve done some diagnostics and confirmed that each amp channel is fine and the impedance was dead on both the door and sub. I had two drivers with 0 load so they completely failed and are unsalvageable. No clue how not one, but two failed.
      I’ve since replaced the door speaker. Works fine now.
      The sub I refoamed a replacement one I bought off of a LS owner and did it wrong. Before I even put load to it, noticed it was foamed off axis. Had to remove fresh glue and cut the cut the dust cover so I could shim.
      I have yet to reglue the 2nd surround just yet.
      I will say, that the sound is very decent for the age. But it does show the age a bit. Compared the the RC F ML, there is some room for improvement. But it’s far from the worst out there.
      The OEM impedances really are a bit annoying as it makes it virtually impossible to do an overhaul where the amp will be comfortable.
      I MAY eventually overhaul completely with a line driver, completely bypassing the ML amp and going after market. But that will be a long time in the future.

      That’s not a bad technique. Unfortunately the fresh glue needing to be removed compromised a bit of the cone. But it should be good for one last go around. I’ll try to capture the shim and refoam for you.

      @@randymcmanus8691 What number is yours? Mine is #118 and same color, but it's on springs now. Can you compare the Lexus to the Mark or a TC? I'm guessing it's not an old school floaty ride like a Town Car, but I love how quiet the Lexus is.

      @@BWItoATXF Wanna trade? Lol. Love the Mark, it's funny when people ask what the hell is that, and you say a 30 year old Lincoln. The cockpit type interior is cool.
      If you ever want one, the 93-96 are the fastest (especially 93), 97-98 are more luxury.

      Nope. That’s just the price of the car seller and I agreed upon. Add $200 for escrow, $600 for transport, MD state inspection and registration costs as well.

      Reliability, quality, longevity. Binge some of the LS430 content on here. Should give you a good picture of the platform.

      @BWItoATXF hey man. I know the car, but im still wondering why everyone say " best car ever made". I owned BMW And mercedes V8 before, fantastic pleasure but both money pits. Need something reliable a keeper for years long

    • @BWItoATXF

      These aren’t money pits. You take care of them, they take care of you. They easily go for hundreds of thousands of miles.
      German engineering is great but the cars of that time don’t have the longevity. Check out Car Car Nut’s video. He’s a respected master mechanic that gives very good insight.

    I had a 2006 ls430 traded for 2017 ls460. I should have kept the 430 the build quality is better. Very smooth ride didn’t want it sitting outside in the Midwest winters. Definitely regret that 😢

    • @BWItoATXF
      @BWItoATXF  9 днів тому

      That 2017 is one the best you can get of that gen though! I don’t think it’s a bad buy atp.
      Everyone says the 430 is the better build quality and car, which is insane to think about.
