Hell yeah! Definitely an air box mod/removal. I don't even run mine. I just use the original screen on the intake. Ive jetted and needled mine runs way better without the box and filter too restricting. Even with all the Forums saying it won't run with out the right vacuum pressure due to removing it's nonsense. The bike really is a beast. Possibly a battery holder mod to upgrade to a better battery since the lithiums are becoming harder to find. And a bobber setup that works with the shaft drive that doesn't look lame. Have the 96 VT. Love your videos man. Keep them coming!
@@brianbinz1381 yes sir, we don't ever really get bad enough weather in Missouri to hurt it if we don't I won't be riding anyways. Before I removed it I used the box without the filter and stored my electronics in it .

There is a more technical way to sync the carbs with a water column but I didn't have to do that on mine. Just adjusted and rode until I found the best adjustment.
Velocity stack set up to eliminate the air box with the filter. A battery relocation kit that takes the place of the air box but with more storage built in. That's not a VT1100C... that's a C2... The VT1100C is a Spirit, different fenders and wheel. Anyway.. I have the Spirit, I'd like to see wheel options, springer front end, exhaust, some kit that moves the intake out from under the seat. Thanks TJ!
im thinking something off the wall custom.....boot burner exhaust, custom tail light/rear fender, lings like that. i trust ya, your artistsry has always impressed.

I have the gray version 2002 shadow vt1100c2. Im happy with my k&n air filter and vance & hines long shots. Ive jetted it , and several different tries later, success! I just wanna sit back and watch what ya come up with though. Should be good
Just picked up the same bike. I want to get rid of the EPA crap. Would love to see air filter come out the sides. Cool would be one out each side for the dual carb set-up. Better yet if it was like a forced air ducts. A basic bolt on exhaust that can be wrapped and ran straight or have easy bolt-ons without the heat shields. Speaking of shields lets remove the front fork shields. I used mirrors with turn signals to eliminate the Honda crap ones. Let put in a new HID headlight. My wife rides so Ill keep my Mustang seat, but floorboards for both would be nice. Also would love to rake the front-end more for more of classic chopper look. Add a nice tall sissy bar on back. Change shocks, rear turn signals, relocate license and tailight,. Then make the rear-fender about half of what it is. Performance mods like bigger brakes would be awesome too. Oh yeah I like the feel of the Harley Drag bar, but would like to have risers that bring it up and back about 2 inches in each direction over stock. Yeah wheels suck also, but Ill probably wheel wrap them. Thats my wish list
I had an '02 1100 Sabre (black) & loved it. The 2 into 1 exhaust on this bike is great! - that configuration reportedly helps w/ more power v. 2 - 2 configurations. Some Harley riders will attest to that too, as w/ my past Road King. Beautiful bike - I'd mostly leave it alone. The smaller turn signals would be a nice touch. I think HP is about 67 at the crank & 54 at rear wheel & 67 footpounds torque. Similar to my 2000 1100 Shadow Spirit, which I also love. (c. 30# lighter than the Sabre.). I'd lose the Harley wannabe side headlamps. The single lamp is most adequate. btw - I think the rims on the Sabre are about the best-looking stock rims I've seen from any manufacturer, but we're all entitled to our differences in taste. I hope you enjoy this stand-out bike!
Just started riding a few months ago and the bike I started and learned everything on so far has been an 88 1100c. Love it and can’t wait to see what you come out with for it
This showed up on me feed at the perfect time. I'm rebuilding my 2002 sabre. Had a few cosmetic issues come up from an accident that wasn't my fault. I've been searching everywhere for a good replacement front fender. I have the same bike as in the video, but the grey version. It would be really amazing to find a great custom fender for this bike. I'm also installing a back rest for the girl, couldn't really find a cool looking sissy bar. Really, ANYTHING you come up with would be a huge upgrade for these sabres. Excited to see what you come up with
I would love to see some air intake mods to relocate it and make it more effective I actually agree with the person that suggests doing a 2 into 1 conversion to convert it from a 2 carburetor setup to 1 carburetor setup it would be ten times easier to get that dialed in and you wouldn't have to mess with any synchronization whatsoever.
I literally just bought that same bike but the 03' yesterday. Can't wait to see what you come up with. Have fun =) PS: I DO NOT disagree about the paint.
I just sold my VT1100 Shadow, but I was always going to develop at 2 into 1 carb manifold for it. it would make tuning much easier compared to getting the dual carbs off between the engine and the frame, which is a pain in the ass. The voltage regulators are not good either. SO many have burned out their stator because of the voltage regulators on these bikes. They run extremely hot and don't do a good job of keeping the battery charged. Also a weak point is the three prong plastic connector between the stator and the voltage regulator that always ends up melting because they are poorly designed. It corrodes and loses a good contact, so you need to address that eventually. I always just cut it out and soldered the wires together to eliminate the problem.
Dude, an exhaust for sure. Something swept and short would be fucking fantastic. I’ve been looking for a set and I can’t find anything worthwhile for less than $500.
I own a 94 VT1100c. I got pipes, a stage 1 jet ect ect.. The next big thing I would love to do is some sort of external intake instead of the air cleaner under the seat. I feel like that would help a little bit with temps and performance, and also look pretty sweet off the right side.
I have a 98 and one thing i would love is to put a suicide/jockey shifter on mine. I dont know how and no one has a video for that exact bike. I love my 1100 its the perfect size. When i bought it it was already in some stages of being customized. It had apes, the baffles were hole sawed, horn was removed, turn signals, just basic bike. I went through 2 different handle bars and just put 6" risers on it. But that shifter is my next project.
I would like to see custom exhaust options!!! I’ve been dyeing to get some long shots or something . Aftermarket intake would be awesome as well, but I don’t know how that is possible with the intake integrated into the frame... other than that it would be awesome to see sissy bars, apes, and foot peg/boards options. Even hard bags that look cool are hard to find.
i have a 1987 honda show VT1100 spirit. the bike harley sued honda over. i bought it in july of 1988, i'm the 3rd owner, it had 611 miles on it. i rode it for a couple of years, but then i quarter mile ET drag raced it for 4 yrs. you can not blow these things up. i personally am not a fan of the other shadow body styles. the front fenders are bulky, the rear fenders copy indian fenders in my opinion. plus i love the 4 speed transmission, less work, 3rd and 4th gear are long in the tooth. for an 1099cc engine, it has plenty of torque. have fun with your project.
This is a dual pin 1100 engine not a single pin engine. The best exhaust for power and sound for a dual pin engine is the 2-1 pro pipe already on it, with a proper jet kit
Bullet ferrings. A deeper sounding exhaust system. I love the idea of the performance intake. Also thank you for making aftermarket shadow parts big save man
@@TJBRUTALCUSTOMS I bought mine in Seattle and drove home to Galveston. I can tell you twice I wish that tank held another 1/2 gallon. Actually had to have gas delivered once. Gas is far away in Nevada. I wouldn't mine a gas tank change in looks, but definitely need the the capacity to go 200 miles
I’ve got an 1100 I’ve spent years on customizing. I tried messing with the intake but that bike doesn’t like and intake mods beyond a filter swap. New exhaust would be great. And handlebars. A good rear fender Would be fantastic. I chopped mine but still don’t like it. Jockey shifter would make that bike amazing. Good luck!
I have a 96 version of this bike, and I'd like to see some exhausts, some interesting rear fender work for bombers, some lights and signal setups, and most importantly, some different ideas for the tank and intake. I dont know (but I'm fairly certain their the same) but mine, I cant replace the tank unless it's a matching tank, or custom dabbed because of the wide valley for the intake. I'm currently bobbing mine, maybe go that route and I'd 100% keep up with the series.
Tombstone tail lights of softail would be killer, definitely a lack of decent pipes for the 1100's, different 2-1s, boot burners etc would all be cool, one thing I hope you address is the older spirits and pre spirit 1100's have a notched side cover, perhaps make an aftermarket side cover that fills this gap? for use with other pipes
Slimmer Rear fender that is compatible with stock seat and gets rid of that tombstone rear brake light. Side mounted L plate is ok. HID projector and a less lengthened black housing bucket. Backdraft exhaust with mufflers for commuters.
Needs some traditional apes, both vlx and ace/Sabre 1100’s. Carb kit, most of the vlx kit works for it, but few things don’t. Some more stainless brass hardware, for the 1100s
FINALLY! Dude I've been waiting a long time to see some sabre parts from you. A redesigned topper of the tube clamps would be awesome. i hate the layout of the indicator lights. also a bracket for a pull choke somewhere by the left leg. btw what do you think about using the intake channel in the frame for the electrical and using a spike intake kit for the air?
Oh man im tearing down my 01 Sabre right now and I would love to have a set of velocity stacks, new pipes, flat bottom tank, and a electrical box that easy to access like the ones you make for the 750's. Maybe a jockey shift as well? But for the love of god please something to remove that stupid airbox from under the seat.
So there's a difference between a vt1100 from '85 to '86 and the '87's and up models. For us older gen vt1100's there's hardly any proformance parts. You should look into mods and upgrades for those years too
Fuel pump system sucks on the 1100 shadows. I installed a Mr. Gasket 3psi electric pump then had to change the headlight to led to drop the power consumption. So far so good. Would like to see a super trap exhaust+ K&N Intake and carbs jetted to see how it would perform.
Awesome bike. I love watching your videos, very informative. I have an old VT-1100 C from '85, and it's an absolute dream, however getting parts for this bike is like finding a needle in a haystack. Do you have any recommendations as to where I can get parts for this bike? Specifically low profile seat and maybe how to remove the rather ugly dashboard? Thanks a lot for your videos :D
And another thing I agree with you about is the meatgrinder rims. I would love to replace mine with some nice old school spoke wheels, but how do I figure out where to find some that matches my bike?
I bought '06 sabre 1100 and love it. As I learn more about the bike, it seems that the 1100's is a popular model from Honda and also understand that they don't make 'um anymore? Can someone explain why this particular (1100's) is preferred and why would Honda stop makin 'um? Jus' wondering so I can get a 'ego' fix....lol... ride safe!
Hey - I really hope you will create som awsome stuff for our neglected 1100 shadow... Nearly impossible to find cool stuff for this one. 600 and 750 theres tons of stuff but not for the 1100... You make cool stuff and are handy. Help us out!
Id love to see a bigger camshaft performance carburetor and a 2 into 1 exhaust close to the engine similar to your backdraft exhaust ive found that a 2 into 1 exhaust gives u the best performance all around
If you do anything with the gas tank, these wonky fake ass cylinder head covers will need to be addressed. Wish honda head incorporated something into the actual heads rather than just a cover that ends where the gas tank starts.
Exhausts, i personally want something short and loud, and would love better indicators and jockey shift and i would love a sporty style tank but with a decent fuel capacity
Freaking awesome man so many of us SRA have 1100s #Team1100 cant wait to see what you come up with ,

I am looking for someone to make a peanut tank for that same bike!
Backdraft exhaust with mufflers for commuters.
for sure a improved air cleaner system
Needs some traditional apes, both vlx and ace/Sabre 1100’s. Carb kit, most of the vlx kit works for it, but few things don’t. Some more stainless brass hardware, for the 1100s
I own 2 of these sabres. Yes. This color. Lol. How did i not know about this video? Im gonna check you out. I hope things are happening for this bike!
FINALLY! Dude I've been waiting a long time to see some sabre parts from you. A redesigned topper of the tube clamps would be awesome. i hate the layout of the indicator lights. also a bracket for a pull choke somewhere by the left leg. btw what do you think about using the intake channel in the frame for the electrical and using a spike intake kit for the air?
oh and anybody please guide me to where i can find fat spoke rims for this bike
Start with the ♥️, intake exhaust and carb rebuild kit
Oh man im tearing down my 01 Sabre right now and I would love to have a set of velocity stacks, new pipes, flat bottom tank, and a electrical box that easy to access like the ones you make for the 750's. Maybe a jockey shift as well? But for the love of god please something to remove that stupid airbox from under the seat.
I would love to find some aftermarket rims for my Sabre that weren’t so expensive!
@@TJBRUTALCUSTOMSGot the tank high enough to go gravity? Nice!
My bike is identical it rips love it I have the mustang seat more comfortable than my couch
🍻🍻🍻
I bought '06 sabre 1100 and love it. As I learn more about the bike, it seems that the 1100's is a popular model from Honda and also understand that they don't make 'um anymore? Can someone explain why this particular (1100's) is preferred and why would Honda stop makin 'um? Jus' wondering so I can get a 'ego' fix....lol... ride safe!
We need a elimination kit of the back blinker/licence plate holder. Good God that stinking chrome catastrophe has to go bro
PIPES and STACK
Yes!
Hey - I really hope you will create som awsome stuff for our neglected 1100 shadow... Nearly impossible to find cool stuff for this one. 600 and 750 theres tons of stuff but not for the 1100... You make cool stuff and are handy. Help us out!
A bracket to properly accommodate a 7in Daymaker Headlight on the stock Headlight Housing.
Id love to see a bigger camshaft performance carburetor and a 2 into 1 exhaust close to the engine similar to your backdraft exhaust ive found that a 2 into 1 exhaust gives u the best performance all around
Pipes! There's only 3 brands of pipes for these things! This literally the same bike I have.
Have yall come up with any new gas tanks for the 1100 there discontinued for 98-00 and hard to come by in good shape and at a decent price
Hey! We don't currently carry a gas tank for the 1100. But we are always adding new, rad parts to our website so please stay tuned!
98 Areo could use some Love. I'm thinking Bagger.
I would love to buy some parts from you but you need more for the older bikes mine is 89 1100 shadow it's so hard to find any thing for it
I’d love to see different front wheels for these. I got my Sabre a month ago with depressing news there isn’t a bolt on wheel for these
Velocity stack, exhaust and performance carborator kit for a 1996 Honda shadow vt1100c2 ACE. Please and thank you sir!!
Same bike I have. Looking forward to what you come up with. Single carb? ?🤔
Tank mods, add on sight fuel filters .
Gas tank before anything else. Next velocity stack set up
If you do anything with the gas tank, these wonky fake ass cylinder head covers will need to be addressed. Wish honda head incorporated something into the actual heads rather than just a cover that ends where the gas tank starts.
Exhausts, i personally want something short and loud, and would love better indicators and jockey shift and i would love a sporty style tank but with a decent fuel capacity
What did u ever do for your intake on this bike? I have a 98 vt1100c3 and I think the airbox sucks should I just put a pod filter on it
