  • Most safe-cracking involves permanent destruction of the safe due to drilling or pressure. TheCousinDan Shows you how to "crack" (forcefully break into) a safe without ruining it for later use.

Did you give any consideration to the fireproofing containing asbestos! A lot of fireproofing does contain it, you might want to send in a sample before you ever mess with something like this, not worth the risk if it is asbestos!

I have that same lock that I bought at a junk & treasure store. I really want to build a safe to incorporate the lock in to. To get the combination, like you, I took the back off and watched the disks moving. However I wrote the number down for each disk so when trying to open the lock I just dialed the wheel to the numbers I had written down. If a disk was off a bit it was easy to adjust + or - 1 number until I had all 3 perfectly placed. Thanks for posting.

Stay *safe* and be well. (sorry about the pun)
Not germane to this video, but Bob's lock service (label on safe door) is in Fishers, on 96th street (in front of Walmart). He might have been able to de-code the combination for you, but where's the fun in that?
Besides, you were looking for something to do during this present circumstance.

Static from dust going through you vac hose is what’s shocking you. If you run a separate ground wire and ground it than you shouldn’t get shocked. By the way I I joyed you video.

Damage this thing going forward? You’ve already done that. The glass relocker you are referring too is on TL-15 and up on burglary rated safes. You have a B rated safe.
