Words cannot express the sadness of what went on in Cambodia. Well done both of you for the respect paid in your video and i agree it needs to be spoken about and hopefully this will never happen again. Humans are so cruel to each other. RIP
Thank you so much for your words. You are 100% right. It was really hard to edit this episode, but it is important to show the respect, and to never forget.
As a Cambodian Khmer Rouge survivor, i want to thank you for sharing the Cambodia dark past. The world should know what human was capable of, especially with their own kind!
Thank you so much for honoring us with this comment. We can't imagine how it must've been, and what some humans are capable of. We can only hope humanity learned from it.
Thanks for your contribution in the mentioning of the atrocities in Cambodia and bringing about its awareness. I was a child survivor of the regime and have now been living in Australia since 1980. I avoided visiting S-21 until 2012. Once at the base of skulls stupa at Cheung Ek, I just lost it. Every bit of all the dark memories crushed on me and I had to sit down and sobbed for about 5 minutes. And I'm not one who cried easily. Let's hope this can never happen again.
Thank you so much for sharing this, we highly appreciate it. We can't understand how hard it must've been for you growing up in those times, and that you went there to see the Stupa shows very great courage. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts and experiences, this really honours us.
A very well put together episode which was very moving. Nobody talks of the atrocities of that time anymore and I imagine that most would just want to forget it. Thank you both for reminding us and telling the story. Your videos are getting from good to great and I am enjoying them very much! Safe travels on the road ahead and I look forward to your next episodes! Ride safe!
Thank you so much for your kind words! Its great to hear that you enjoy our videos, and actually that we are making progress to haha :-D we'll keep up the good work, promise!
A tough video to make and powerful to watch. Reminding people of atrocities can hopefully remind us not to repeat them. The insanity that took place in Cambodia is difficult to understand and doesn't get much coverage in history classes and documentaries. Many people are surprised to learn Pol Pot lived until the year 1998. He never repented or suffered any punishment greater than a short time under house arrest.
He never got what he deserved... it is all the nicer to see that the people in Cambodia are constantly smiling and in good spirits despite this difficult past. Truly incredible.
