How much was the bike because when I check the rules for the carnet they want a 100% deposit for the bike for some countries, that would make the carnet cost like 12000 for my bike if I want to go to India for instance.

@simulacrae yes that's correct. Wow that sounds a bit much! Our bike was about the same as yours! We know that it depends from country to country, best would probably be to check with your automobile association. Maybe it's an idea to drive into another country with a TIP, and then get the CDP issued there?

We have hard panniers, so everything can be locked (which is why we wanted them). The bike just sits in the parking lot, which is normally secured, but we also have visible security systems on it. Where are you going with your dog?

We got one! Actually 2 tube puncture kits and an electrical pump, but when you have a shop just a few kilometers away that wants to help, I think it's easier to go there, especially to save the hussle of getting the tire off an on. They had a machine, that made it much easier 😊 and seeing the tube, it was definitely beyond repair 😂

Hi there, sure! That's a 2018 Tiger XCA 800. We do all the mechanics work ourselves. Changing oil and filter for example is a very easy task on the Tiger, heat up the engine, open the screw, unscrew filter, change the sealing washer (we carry a few of them), let it all drip for a few hours, clean it, screw new filter on, new screw with new washer in, and fill oil from the top. Changing oil with filter requires 3,6l, without filter is 3,4l. Let the engine run and heat up to check the levels, and you're all done. 😊 Reach out if you have any other questions, we're happy to answer them! Also there are workshop books which explains everything around the bike

@@GhettoSuguru Depends on the country. In Thailand we could get it locally, now in India and Pakistan we carry an oil filter we send here from overseas beforehand, because we knew it would be hard to get one. But oil with the right specifications you can get everywhere

Hi there! From Brisbane to Singapore we paid around 4000 AUD. It really depends how big the crate is and how much weight you put in. We did it with Bikes Abroad, and can highly recommend their service!
