still have my electric Disaster from Captain Planet near the glowing one, i vivid remember as kid when i saw it "ooh, it works like laser Skeletor" and indeed is almost the same gimmick, minus the screams in rage as sound. Never even saw those mighty max multipacks, ive discovered the exsistence thanks to you... finding something like that back in the day could be showstopper for any kid. Probably mint they worth A LOT
Stoked to watch this a bit later tonight, this looks amazing and your toy histories are always legendary, the focus for this one are ALL my faves, this should be epic!!
Thanks buddy 😄
This was a blast! We 100% need some new mummies alive! Figures, neca or super7 would absolutely do those proper justice and then get more access to some of those figs you discussed that only ever were available overseas…really fun and really well researched vid as always :) thx for putting this out!
Hey Ed, love your channel! Can we get a video showing your updated collection? Maybe a list of your most wanted toys? Thanks
Great idea! I concur😉👌🏽
Working on it 😅
Damn, that mighty max black ice alien is awesome looking. Never seen that one 🤩 I love these videos you do on the different releases worldwide and and the unreleased toys as well. Keep up the great work
I have the Might Max zombie Hand and snake playsets shown in the commercial! I also have a spider head, fly, and I think a mummy head.
There’s so many awesome ones in that line
Aaaah man...Mummies Alive was my jam back in the day...especially the intro it got me so hyped 😄 i didn't even know back in the day there was action figures for it. 😟
More toy histories is always a good thing. Glad to see MASK included!
Was Great to see a mention for Unpunched here !!
🤘 thanks for watching
This was a great video sir- thanks for putting it out & all the hard work that went into it. The international Star Wars variants can be a rabbit hole as well w/ different sounds or stickers on classic vehicles. But Tfs will always take the cake as I was able to get in on some of that action back in the late 1990s in the early days of eBay (& eBay UK, etc). I might have had the Aliens Vasquez, not realizing it was an exclusive until after it was sold. Thanks again!
Thanks for watching 🤘
Can't wait till the next episode. Glow in the dark toys are my favorites. Just pre-ordered the Super 7 TMNT set of all four glow in the dark turtles and can't wait till they come in.
The Benelux had lot of GI Joe exclusive stuff (mostly Belgian G.I.Joe Fan Club related) like a cardboard landscape (Operation Landscape) diorama for example, etc. You can easily dedicate a whole episode to the whole Belgian G.I.Joe Fan Club related exclusive stuff Ed. No kidding. Also easily worth an episode are the EU cassette exclusives from (mainly) Mattel: The MotU He-man Skeletor two pack with cassette, Starburst She-ra with cassette and Bravestarr with cassette. Bundling a cassette with an action figure is mainly (for the most part) a EU thing. Makes these figures very rare and very expensive nowadays... Extremely rare is the retailer promo He-man with cassette, a single carded figure with cassette merely created by Mattel to promote their MotU line to retailers in order to get them to buy MotU to sell in their store. A cassette was also used to help retailers to get rid of their overstock, a cassette was then taped with vanille yellow promo tape to a figure to get rid of it easilier. Examples of figures you'll see with a cassette are Ram Man and Buzz Off but it's possible to find other figures. I know someone who has a Thunderpunch He-man with a cassette taped to the card.
The cassette’s are a great idea a lot lines had those in germany as well. Gi joe desert scene was in the previous video on this topic ;)
The video pack-ins continued thru the He-Man 200x series w/ Beast Wars being my favorite. I am hoping to 1 day get the Claw Jaw EU repaint as it looks sweet. As to the Joe stuff, I am just now learning about some exclusive vehicles from outside the US. The Benelux catalogs were covered by GI Joburg in a great video series. Those sets & backdrops for the toys are awesome!
So funny how excited we all got for funky 90s colours!
The brighter the better 😄
I still have that mighty max lion from when i was a kid at 7:47, though in the original paint job. Just one of those toys that seemed to survive moves, getting older, etc lol
Omg I love mummies alive was so amazing. I wish a third party company would bring these back to life pls someone also storm collectibles MAKE US SOME DAMN STREET SHARKS.
Some of these are pretty frickin' neat...🤘🏼💯✔️
Aw yeaah
Another top notch toy history. Never had the palitoy death star. Anything cardboard was a big NO with my parents. The USA version is a grail of mine
The mummies toys were my favorite as a kid
I hoped more would have come out for the line 🥺
@@EdsRetroGeekOut Yeah I wish the same. I had the complete first set and the jet 🔥
These videos are honestly my favorite ones you post I love all your videos but I love these the most once again amazing job man so glad you're doing these videos again.
Thanks 🤘
I run out of words to say but not out of love for this channel.I wish they sold Captain planet stuff here.I missed out in the 80s on that line.Thx ED u keep da 80s always linking never sinking.
Thanks buddy 😄🤘
Awesome video Ed i never knew about the other death star i had the plastic one when i was a kid you talk about hours and hours of fun!
That Nefertine figure is a grail for a friend of mine-the character and Egyptian myth was a huge part of her childhood.
Transformers I know had some really cool exclusives over in Europe, some of which were repurposed for the later "Machine Wars" line.
So glad this is back!
Thanks buddy 🤓
This was an awesome video. I loved the Mighty Max ones. Crazy
Aliens second wave of Space Marines were also available in some stores in Mexico. Here they came in the regular square blister pack and didn't include the collector card.
Cool vid as always! Personally still looking for the Real Ghostbusters Ecto Glows , which weren't for sale here in Europe (I think). Also I noticed that with the vintage Jem and The Holograms dolla, the European variants are actually quite sought after.
I love my action force palitoy have 7 of the cardboard bases
So cool to hear about all this, thanks for putting it together. Great memories.
Thanks for watching
Awesome video my friend 👍
Loved the Mummies Alive Cartoon! I didn't get the figures at the time of their initial release but i am glad to have them now.
Sweet 😁🙌
YESSSS TOY HISTORY IS BACK
Thanks 🤓
Lmao 🤣😂 who wants to bet Matti owns all those Mighty Max variants already
Hmmmm... I've been watching a Duke Nukem figure on ebay for a while now, maybe this is a sign that I should finally buy it. I picked up a Verminus Scum figure at a toy show a few weeks ago and it got me thinking about picking up some more Captain Planet villains. Probably a rabbit hole I shouldn't go down, but if the figures are in good shape and the price is low, you know what I say, buy buy buy! haha
Fantastic work Ed. A lot of interesting information in this video that I didn't know before.
Also, no-one can doubt your toy historian credentials. Those menacing piles of retro toys that could collapse on top of you at any moment are a testament to your dedication!
😅maybe I am a hoarder but i need these toyzzz

Indeed 🙌
Such a good toy history episode Ed I love seeing all the varients of these toy lines and would love to pick up some of the rare marines from the aliens Kenner toy line great work 😎👍🏻
You forgot the Euro exclusive Kwame and Ma-ti Captain Planet figures that came separately with individual accessories including his monkey suchi....
Love these vids WAY more than toy hunting! Glad to see your still doing toy history videos. That's what I subscribed to your channel for.

Thanks buddy 🤘
What about inspector gadget figures tank suit or trike gadget ghostbusters jocsa line?
great video
Thanks for watching 🤘
good stuff man!
Never really understood about movie actors giving image rights, as the figures never looked like them anyway (at least in the 80s-90s). 😂
Indeed even when they did it wasn’t very spot on 😆
Star Wars Death Star 🤤
Hey Ed what country are you originally from, and how did you come to be such a big fan of American pop-culture?
Remember the Mummies figures looking cool but the cartoon was eh. Great video!!
I had hopes for the cartoon 😂
At last your back with toy history its been too long
Unpunched 😎👊💣🔥🔥🇵🇦
Let all make unreleased toy videos
Yes!
As an actor why wouldn’t you sign your likeness to be a toy?
First! Hoi Ed🌞
🤘 aw yeah
UA-camr popularity can also fade in the blink of an eye. Unsubbed!
