So stoked to watch the Shy / Leave damage duo again! They’re easily in my top 5 dps duos of ALL TIME, and probably my favorite active duo in the scene, which is saying something when you consider Lip Heesang or Proper Stalker. I sincerely think that the combo of Shy and Leave has the highest potential peak, especially if Shy can stick to classic hitscan heroes. Really hoping we get to see them face off against the best of the best.
Feels like shy leave is just lip Heesang but with even more coordination. I really want to see CR vs OA just to see the 2 dps duo play against each other.
Peak shy might be better than lip and proper on sojourn. And peak leave is like top 2 tracer in the world. Shy and guxue just really inconsistent once they swap off for a game or 2. And shy from guxue streams seems to get fatigued easily.
@@kaeroseon for sure the team will be more meta dependent than a falcons or CR 🤷♂️
@@RJTempo I believe with Rush and how much guxue has been 5 stacking and playing different tanks they won't be as meta dependant. Obviously ranked games don't mean as much but their coordination on a JQ and orisa comp seems solid and the doomfist Winston stuff is always amazing.

Also hopefully these guys actually compete next year. Like would it be worth competing this year for them other than for fun? As they quite literally have no team points allocated towards them if they did. That's what I'd be curious about.. it'd be a truly uphill battle to get anywhere..
asia doesnt use circuit points, so they should be fine. The difficult part is to see how to change the OWCS Asia format to fit them in.
also hope Ms. So finds a sponsor soon. Would suck to see her leave the scene after this.
@@kaeroseonwhat I was thinking was they may need to play in another region in fact.. Maybe EMEA? since Asia seems to have some rules around it making it more difficult. I think they'd smash EMEA if they competed there.. Even on Ping.. But we'll have to see
@@CrazeeAdam I was thinking the opposite. Asia is a semi-closed circuit where slots worth more and the stage is longer making it worth competing in. Especially since they don’t need to chase circuit points. EMEA or NA is fully open and the chances of making it to Grand Finals this year is lower and just not worth playing on ping.

Relating to chinese overwatch: Yesterday I queued into Silver3 MoLanran and Farway playing Marvel Rivals. I played punisher on defense escort map. Did alright but we got smoked finally held it down at the end of the second checkpoint. I realized i was playing with them and told them all big fan and they wanted me on healer and then we got full held. farway told me to play healer and got rolled in the dps 1v1. just gotta tell it how it is

I'm honestly interested to see how they gonna compete against TF and Crazy Racoons.
Feels like they have an insane understanding on how to break chiyo fielder and hanbin general playstyle, so I’d say they are a little below CR and around the same as TF. But Smurf is really flexible and proper is more flexible than lip so maybe that could change. And it all depends on individual consistency as well.

Wider geopolitical issues tbh. I’m not super familiar with it though
It’s a bit complicated. China has one country two systems policy which means the regulation about having a licensing partner is no longer required in 2 special areas, Hong Kong and Macau.
@jasperyan450 thanks for the info dude. Does this mean if the Chinese ow scene comes back, that some players might not be able to play together like the way teams can only have 2 foreign players since the region is split
@@madnessman1520 I am not sure about that. As for now, Chinese players are not allowed to play in any OWCS Tournaments. However, I believe they will update their rulebook to fit the Chinese players into the scene. I don’t think there is any information or leaks about that at the moment.

Fuel won’t return, cause Envy disbanded and merged with optic, so unless optic wants to join which doesn’t seem likely, they won’t return. Boston might return as Oxygen Esports, Florida seems active still and is just waiting for the right moment, Houston sucks after what they did so good riddance.
