it just needs to be super soft. the softer/flowy the tulle roll the fluffier the tutu. the stiffer/thicker tulle fabric will NOT look fluffy. I know it sounds like it should be the other way around but its not. I use this one amzn.to/3xFzDcH also with amazon I dont know why sometimes same brand will ship wrong fabric. so if its not soft or the tulle holes are too big, return it and reorder because it means they sent the wrong fabric
OMGGGGGGGG 😱thank you so much for such a simple way to make a tutu what would you suggest width wise for an adult? I was thinking of using a exercise ball to tie it to and then do basically the same thing but bigger.
How did you get it to stack and fluff like that? Did you just keep adding tulle on top of each row? I will be using at least 3 different colors for this kind of fluff and stack style. Great Job BTW!
yes, when I tie it this way, the knot is super tiny and it makes the tulle stick upward more. which makes it fluffier. I have tried both ways, this way is my favorite way. the other way makes the waistline look neater, but when the tutu is so fluffy, you don't even see it
Hello your video is dead on with the demonstration and SOOOO helpful! I feel ready n since im needing a 12m tutu, i have 2 questions. What length did you cut for the soft elastic band and how long does it take to make all together?
the elastic if the ends are sewn together than ad 1 inch extra than the waist measurement, if tied together, than ad 2-3 inches extra than the waist measurement so you have enough to be able to tie it. usually half hour for a tutu
Great tutorial! I just finished making one tonight and it got so short! I measured all my strips to the correct length for age but then after knotting, lost so much of the length 🙁
aw I'm sorry that happened to you, make sure the knots are really tight - also depending how thick the tule fabric is itself, this one I used its really light and thin - so when tying it - the knots aren't bulky and aren't taking up too much of the fabric. also I do add 2 inches to the length. thats why I say for like a 6" tutu length cut 8" strips folded in half - this way those extra inches are used for the knot.
measure your waist, that will be the size to cut your stretchy waist band. measure from waist to how far you want the tutu to be, and than cut the strips double that since you will be folding over to tie them. width is 6"
no you wont loose the fluffy effects you would just have to tie more tulle around. this is 8 inches tutu, the 8 inches can be worn up to teens, just depending how you want it in length.
I'm going to make one in a few mins for my grandaughter. Just got asked if I can make one a few mins at short notice. Good job I had the tulle at hand already.. I didn't have a clue on how I was going to do it.. thankyou for the tutorial xx
measure the waist of the 12 year old, (thats your waist band, the elastic) and than from where you measured the waist measure down to where you want the tutu to stop. and thats your length of your tutu. that would be the best way to make one. if you don't have the measurements you can google "tutu measurement size chart for juniors"
So for a 2 month old I just cut the cardboard 6x6 ? And for the tulle I should have 12 In length not folded and 6 In length folded ? Because 0-3 tutu is 6inch in length?
yes. have to use the really really soft thin tulle, the stiffer fabric ones while one might think will look fluffier, it won't. with thin one you can push the tied strips together really really close which will give it a fluffier look. plus its soft.
I don’t have enough money for a fluffy petticoat and don’t have the patience to sew one myself. Do you think this would work as a petticoat for Ruby Rose from RWBY?
yes it should work! if youre looking for a budget petticoat, you can check out amazon, unless you want to have the costume to be made by yourself. heres some links amzn.to/3aUL2Ei amzn.to/2Qk2E4M amzn.to/2xK6AFt
I didn't count. the thing is that thats a 100 yard roll, I used approx 75% of it - so like 75 yards. heres a video of tutu where I used the whole roll. and what it looks like, I didn't count how many times I rolled it around there either, but you can see what the difference between 75 yards and 100 yards roll. ua-cam.com/video/_Fp97G07qMY/v-deo.html
I did not count. but this was a 100 yards tulle roll 6 inches width. and I used 75 yards of it. and each strip was cut 16 inches in length. but was folded in half when tied = 8 inches in length tutu skirt
75 yards total of a tulle roll. for a 8inch length skirt. this is the exact one that I used amzn.to/2veOI3X - they have different colors as well. and its 100 yards so I used 75 yards of it, so almost the whole thing, if I used the whole thing it would have been even fluffier.
Totally a new sub.. this tutu is so cute and fluffy♡♡. Thank you for sharing. My daughter loves dressing up like a ballerina... DAILY! I have to think of something, finding tutus aren't as easy as I thought.☺
Do you know how much fabric you used to make 1 tutu. I need to make for my daughter and friends for their dance. Trying to figure out how much fabric I need to buy. Thanks in advance.. Loved the easy tutorial, thank you
I made this yesterday and it came out beautiful! THANK YOU SO MUCH. Its for my daughters first birthday pictures. The only thing is that i cut 20 inches of the elastic waistband because when i cut the 15 and tied it, it fit my baby way too snug and she still has 1.5months to go lol chubby baby! Other than that everything was on point 👌🏽 wish i could post the pic lol
I totally enjoyed your tutu video. It was very easy to follow what you were doing and none of the forever talking as to what to and not to do.
thank you (:
Absolutely love this and can not wait to make this for my granddaughters! Thank you so much for sharing.
You make that extra easy! Great work, excellent teacher🤗
Absolutely beautifully!!! Is there a certain brand I should look for?
it just needs to be super soft. the softer/flowy the tulle roll the fluffier the tutu. the stiffer/thicker tulle fabric will NOT look fluffy. I know it sounds like it should be the other way around but its not.
I use this one amzn.to/3xFzDcH

this looks so perfect and fluffy! Thank you for this tutorial!
Glad you like it!

OMGGGGGGGG 😱thank you so much for such a simple way to make a tutu what would you suggest width wise for an adult? I was thinking of using a exercise ball to tie it to and then do basically the same thing but bigger.
I used a chair back for the adult one, just have to twist it around to keep tying it
@@Zhannastar awesome 👏 thanks for the tip
I tried this, and it came out exactly like this one!! Love it!
Wow using your leg was a Great idea . Thanks for that
This is so pretty! Easy and simple, great tutorial, thank you!
thank you!
How did you get it to stack and fluff like that? Did you just keep adding tulle on top of each row? I will be using at least 3 different colors for this kind of fluff and stack style.
Great Job BTW!
Did you end up using all the tulle? I bought the three rolls from Walmart and wasn’t sure if I should anticipate using all three?
are they 25 yard rolls? you will use all 3 of them if they are.
Hi! Great tutorial!! :) I was wondering why you made a mark at the 7inch spot on the elastic band?
because after that the extra elastic is used to be sewn or tied together, that way the waist band stays the size I needed it to be
I don't know if you ever reply to this but is it fluffy cuz of how u tied it with a knot and not the other way with the loop around.?
yes, when I tie it this way, the knot is super tiny and it makes the tulle stick upward more. which makes it fluffier. I have tried both ways, this way is my favorite way. the other way makes the waistline look neater, but when the tutu is so fluffy, you don't even see it
Hi what song is this I love it never heard it
Hello your video is dead on with the demonstration and SOOOO helpful! I feel ready n since im needing a 12m tutu, i have 2 questions. What length did you cut for the soft elastic band and how long does it take to make all together?

usually half hour for a tutu
How many times do you fold the fabric over the cardboard
Thank youuuuuu going to make me a top for my bday pics. Your a life saver
Would the same lengths work for making a fluffy collar? I'd love to use this method for a cosplay!
I would probably do shorter than 8 - maybe like 6 inches
Hello! Could you tell me the measures if it was 4years old and 7 years old??
How many times did you wrap around the cardboard?
I didn't count. I used 75 yards of tulle though.
Perfect for my doll making! Thank you ❤💙💜
Nice video. Thanks!
thank you!
Thank you so much! I’ve just made this for my one year old’s photo shoot this weekend, it came out great!!! 👍🏾
Great tutorial! I just finished making one tonight and it got so short! I measured all my strips to the correct length for age but then after knotting, lost so much of the length 🙁

Oh I didn’t know to add more for length! I didn’t see that in the video. Thanks!
How many pieces do you ha e to use
Csn you do one like this for adult size?
measure your waist, that will be the size to cut your stretchy waist band. measure from waist to how far you want the tutu to be, and than cut the strips double that since you will be folding over to tie them. width is 6"
@@Zhannastar thank you!!
Would you go longer in length for an older child? Or would you lose the fluffy effect?
no you wont loose the fluffy effects you would just have to tie more tulle around. this is 8 inches tutu, the 8 inches can be worn up to teens, just depending how you want it in length.
How would I do several colors for this?
I'm going to make one in a few mins for my grandaughter. Just got asked if I can make one a few mins at short notice. Good job I had the tulle at hand already.. I didn't have a clue on how I was going to do it.. thankyou for the tutorial xx
Did you tie one or two pieces of tulle for each knot?
two pieces. just grab two strips and tie them to the waistband. don't put the two strips together all perfectly, it won't look as fluffy and light
How many times do you wrap it around the cardboard?
I didn’t count. Just used the roll
Thank you so much for sharing my friend I learn a lot from you super love !God bless you and your Chanel....
how many pieces do you use for this tutu
Thank you so much!!! I'm ready to practice making one
Классная подача! Без слов и максимально детально! Спасибо!
Maravigoldi All the kids and Adults can play together 🎃 in a super fun way ❤
I LOVE ❤️ YOU QUEEN 👸🏻 🎉🎃🎉❤
I’m doing this tomorrow thanks
What does trimming the ends do to the skirt?
it makes it look even and even more fluffier because there is no random longer tulle pieces sticking out
Hi, can you please let me know what length it would be for a 0-6 month girl. And also is the tulle length going to be the same?
So, how many 16" pieces are needed? Never species the amount need for that size.
I didn't count. that would be very time consuming. as I stated in the video, I used 100 yards roll.
Hi what size of elastic did you use. Thanks.
its 1 inch
Zhannastar Thank you.
What size waist band would you cut to make a newborn tutu ?
12-13”
This video was very helpful I love it
Thank you!
How many times did you fold the tule on the card board?
How many pieces total would you have?
I don't know. I don't count. I used 75 yards of this purple roll for this tutu
@@Zhannastar Are you picking up 1 or 2 pieces at a time?
@@holleypoole9603 2
Is it expensive?
Loved this one
Awesome tutorial!!!
I just finished mine, this was so easy, thank you so much ❤
What size i use for a 12yr old or like a one size fit all?💓 would appreciate it.
measure the waist of the 12 year old, (thats your waist band, the elastic) and than from where you measured the waist measure down to where you want the tutu to stop. and thats your length of your tutu. that would be the best way to make one. if you don't have the measurements you can google "tutu measurement size chart for juniors"

thank you!
So for a 2 month old I just cut the cardboard 6x6 ? And for the tulle I should have 12 In length not folded and 6 In length folded ? Because 0-3 tutu is 6inch in length?
yes (: but if you want the exact measurement, you can always measure 2 month old from waits to their ankles (: but yes about 5-6 inches (:
Wow this is so eo easy I ak ginna make it for sure !
Is it just 1 layer all around?
yes. have to use the really really soft thin tulle, the stiffer fabric ones while one might think will look fluffier, it won't. with thin one you can push the tied strips together really really close which will give it a fluffier look. plus its soft.

Hello will love to try. What tutu type and brand is that from Walmart that you use?
Hello! This is beautiful and it looks so easy! What size should I use for a soon to be 5 year old who wears a size 6 bottoms?
lenght 10-12 inches. measure her waist. you can always google "tutu size chart"
Never knew it was so easy to make a tutu
you're welcome (:
It’s not, this is just a costume tutu. Ballet tutus can cost thousands and take hundreds of hours
@@amandao.7705 lol she didn't say a ballet tutu. she said tutu... this is a tutu

Is this light or dark purple?
its a light.more of a lavender color
Wonderful idea!!!
It’s amazing
thank you!
C est super joli! Pas dxexplications en Français Dommage Amicalement
Love them fluffy like this one
Amazing dr
is it polyester or nylon
kb leslie The listing and reviews say polyester. Nylon is softer, but the trade off is that it tangles easily.
idk which one she used but I recommend polyester because it fluffs up more where as nylon doen't as much
i want a tutu😃😃😃😃😃
Very cute!
How many times did you wrap the tulle around?

How much tulle would u use for an adult..?
10 -15 yards if buying the tulle fabric bolts. and I think maybe like 200 -300 yards of tulle roll depending on the length you would want
Is this soft tulle?
yes
Using it for a cake, hope it works.
Most helpful video thank you

How did you get it so fluffy ? It's my first time making one.
how it shows in the video. the more tulle you use, (push it together tighter and tighter) the fluffier it will get (:

50-75 yards for this size (8 inches in length) the more you use the fluffier it is. this video I used almost 75 yards using tulle rolls.
