Skrulls legions needed. I think Hasbro is so big they're ignorant of certain collector aspects, desires and wants. Why limit Army builders at all? Do like 4horseman studios and take made to order preorders. Hasbro can't be worried about loosing money, large corporation that they are. Troopers are like printing money! I got my squads of Skrulls, Shield agents, and dark Hand ninjas. I'm good, but let's let other collectors get a crack at an Army too, Hasbro! Troopers for everyone! Hey, that's my time. Nice list. Good stuff, but I think you overlooked a few things. With that, I'm game for your thoughts on G.I. Joe. Serpentor was the best from that line in my opinion. My list is as follows. 10. Rhino was pretty close to making the cut on my list! Toad probably would have made the list if it weren’t for the regular price tag.

They go nicely with the SHIELD troop builder. Rhino made it for me because they got him out before I bought him secondary, and while Toad was on the expensive side, I've been wanting him for years.
This video is what I’ve been waiting for! Not only did your list not disappoint, it made me reevaluate my own. I can’t believe I forgot about how exciting the Skrull troop builders were when they came out. I’m with you; five isn’t enough. Hasbro Pulse needs to let out another round. I also forgot how great Hammerhead is. I’ve been playing around with him lately and he’s so fun to pose. I posted a couple shots of Miles flipping Hammerhead over Tombstone on Instagram. Now I’m seriously thinking about picking up more suited figures to get some more criminal/gangster/hoods for battle scenes. Anyway, love the video. Bring on the Top 10 Classified list!
Yeah, I missed all the army builders, and they are SO expensive on the aftermarket I could only afford to get one of the Shield two packs and one Skrull. Greedy as Hasbro is these days, you'd think they wouldn't pass up on this layup. They'll take change with a Moon Knight variant and a classic Star Lord but not army builders. Kree soldiers to go with Ronan are necessary, reissue all the army builders except Hand ninja lol Figure review channels are essential cause I don't unbox and with no window I don't really have anything to entice me like seeing the figure in the store like Armor Spidey or Hammerhead. It's cause of The Fwoosh or Displaying Model Behavior or Dan Who.

I'm confused why Hasbro hasn't put them back in rotation too. Seems like it would be an easy cash grab. Maybe they could expand the maximum to 10 to keep it "fair."

Last time I saw this was in the pages of New Avengers in 2005. The generic black clad ninja should sell well at commercial retail. I've no idea why Hasbro decided to make them Pulse exclusives. However, I only ever found 1 red Hand Ninja in the wild during a Walmart trip. The rest of my clan I had to buy from bbts. One Love Bless☝️

Sorry you missed out on the 20th cap. He is awesome. Love that black Panther figure. The Mafex and sentinel Spider-Man figures are awesome. Jigsaw is amazing. He looks like Firefly without his balaclava. Shocker needed a wash over those details for the netting. Baron Zemo is great. That Dr strange was a must have for me. For me I loved the Daredevil 3 pack. Renew your vows Spider-Man. Walmart Dr strange, and spiral.
Cap definitely looks like he would have been a contender. I’m hoping eventually we get that figure with a slightly lighter blue and the black shadow around his A on the cowl. Good call on Jigsaw/Firefly. I haven’t seen anyone do a wash on Shocker. That might take him up even higher. Zemo and Strange really were great releases last year. Daredevil seemed a little small. Was he undersized to you? The renew your vows Spidey certainly seems like one I’ll be awaiting with lighter colors and a needless MJ variant for my display. I didn’t get Spiral since she didn’t make it to retail by the end of the year.

Awesome list! I pretty much agree with all of those. We really needed that updated T'Challa and that Baron Zemo in his classic outfit is killer. I loved seeing your Defenders team. Would love to get an updated classic Valkyrie (I use the Hulkbuster wave one even though she's modern and a bit tall). I'd probably just add 20th Cap and the Renew Your Vows Spidey. Honorable mention to Bonebreaker wave Wolverine. I didn't think I needed another one of him but I really like this one. Would love to see you do a top 10 of Black Series or Classified or even DC Multiverse. Again, great choices!
Thanks so much! I have that Valkyrie too, but I like the classic aesthetic on the older one more. Cap definitely would have made my cut. Wolverine looks cool, I just didn't have any attachment to that look for him. Classified Series is next up for sure now.
For my list it’s key to know that I don’t collect MCU or gamer-verse Legends. I did collect the Into the Spider-verse wave back when because I needed to have a giant Stiltman. Also, my preferred era of X-Men is the ‘70s and early ‘80s, so the Jim Lee/animated series figures don’t appeal to me. So with that said, my runners-up/honorable mentions for 2022 are: Spider-Man (Renew Your Vows) - second best Spidey buck ever. Sandman (retro card) Skrull Infiltrator (Pulse exclusive) Toad (20th anniversary) and Daredevil (3-pack), who really should be in my Top 5 but since I don’t have him I couldn’t put him up there. Top 10 10. Hammerhead - already explained. 9. The Hulk (20th anniversary) - I know it’s like the eighth use of this buck but I love the Paul Harding-sculpted heads on this figure. Reminds me of the Rampaging Hulk magazine covers. 8. Baron Zemo (Walgreens) - great head sculpt, sleek body, and the purple color pops. Wonderful compliment to the Captain America that appears later. 7. Doctor Strange (Walmart) - So, so freaking good. Love all the accessories, and again with the Paul Harding heads! 6. Silver Surfer (HasLab) - I know most people who got the HasLab were probably more excited for Frankie Raye and Morg because they were new additions to the line, but they didn’t do as much for me as this simple redo of the Silver Surfer, one of my favorite Marvel characters. He’s not a simple re-release; there is a slight redeco that I think makes him brighter and sleeker. The new head sculpt is an improvement too. What can I say? I’m a mark for the Surfer; I never get tired of posing him and looking at him. 5. The Lizard (Walmart) - My favorite Spider-Man villain and my favorite version-I like the old school version more than the modern take that looks like a velociraptor with a lab coat. Great colors and accessories and alternate heads and hands, plus the bendy wire tale. So much fun! 4. Captain America (20th anniversary) - My only complaint about the previous anniversary version based on Alex Ross was the colors were too dark, so this version is perfect. Endless potential with posing and action. As close to the perfect Cap as I can imagine. 3. Black Panther (Wakanda Forever wave) - pretty much the perfect comic Black Panther, I think. 2. Spider-Man (Amazing Fantasy #15/Amazing Friends/Walmart retro) - I’m allowing for a three-way tie for all of these because they were all slight repaints of the same spectacular buck. Take your pick which you prefer, depending on which you could find and afford, but this is the supreme web-slinger. 1. Galactus (HasLab) - I paid $400 for this, I think I deserve to put it on my list. This is the first HasLab I ever backed and the one I knew I needed if I could only have one. One of my favorite Marvel characters/creations and done to perfection. I love that he towers over the rest of my collection… except for Stiltman. Stiltman is bigger.
Wait, the Amazing Friends buck is the same as the AF #15? Awwww man. I picked up Renew your vows but the buck was too big for my liking as main shelf Spidey. Now I need to either hope we get some more solo Spider-Men on that buck or go back and pick up another Iceman and Firestar just for that Spidey.
@@RisingBean Yeah, that's definitely my favorite buck for Spidey, but I don't want to buy another lceman and Firestar that I don't need. l ended up spending $40 to get the cel-shaded retro version and then removed the shading on the blue parts with some brush cleaner. l would ASSUME given how popular it is that they will release more Spider-Man on that body this year, but not sure.
I like your list a lot! Good choices. I think I must have been sleeping on this Daredevil figure as you're not the first one to mention how great he turned out. I'm still annoyed I missed Lizard and Cap. They definitely seem like they would have made my list.
I can agree with most of your list I do really like Doctor Strange he would have been number one for me if the cape was easily removable and a little more paint on the tunic, I really like cosmic Thor they really need to stop cheapping out on the paint , accessories and extra head sculpts and hands and they will make there money back put more effort.

Then when I actually got him and took him out, I was so blown away I hopped on the Walmart app and stalked it until I saw Strange available again and ordered another one to keep in-box😅. My other '22 faves on your list was Retro Symbiote Spidey🕷🔥 and classic comic Black Panther🐆🔥. Both are *PERFECT!👌* in my opinion. I absolutely love posing and playing with those guys. Being relatively new to action figures collecting, I absolutely love the Cap 20th Anniversary figure, but hate the stupid shield🙄. Great list. So different than all the other lists I have seen for '22. (btw--I also got the Retro Lizard and for me personally, he's so much better than Retro Shocker. I saw Shocker on the pegs, but passed on him.)
One of my pals actually got a spare Retro Lizard so I'll have him soon! Very excited to add him to my collection. How far along are you in collecting Marvel Legends? It's a serious rabbit hole for newer collectors at this point.
Great list. I wish they'd made the Inner Demon a two-pack and Mr. Negative a standalone release. There were some nice MCU figures especially that She-Hulk.

I ordered a $7 Jigsaw from Walgreens during the super sale. A few days later I got a notice that they had to cancel my order because they were "SORRY... OUT OF STOCK." I went right to their website and they were in fact IN STOCK but at $22.99!! FML!!
I'm done collecting Marvel Legends after this year primarily because of no windows but also, they are skimping on things like unmasked heads e.g. Black Panther, power effects e.g. Speedball, and washes that would elevate a figure from good to great e.g. Knull. Charging more not to maintain quality but for less is unacceptable. Plus, as Mr. Lyles pointed out inconsistent price raising for say a cell shaded figure on outdated bodies e.g. Mystique... that little bit of paint cost $3 extra.
My local Walmart never has Marvel legends I mean never in over 10 years of being open but tonight at the end cap of one of the toy isles was not 1 or 2 but 13 Walmart exclusive Dr Strange figures and couldn't believe it 😳
The closet Walmart to me is a joke in terms of how poorly they stock anything. I have a few others that are hit and miss but I hear you. Did you end up getting Strange?
Love the vid!! The dr strange is such a good figure. I got it a couple months ago and I can’t wait to display it and take pictures. I hope you can put out a Star Wars black series. I gathered a good amount of black series in 2022, mostly due to price drops. Patience is key.

Lots of good Legends in 2022, with classic Dr. Strange, Shocker, Black Panther, Lizard, 20th Anniversary Hulk, Nova, Morg, and Galactus being my favorites.
Galactus wouldn’t have been fair to put on the list as he better be head and shoulders better than the $25 figures! 😉 Nova would have made the cut if his colors were yellow instead of gold. Walmart cancelled my Retro Lizard order three times so I had no luck with him. Did you have the Hulk vs Wolverine set? I had that Hulk and didn’t spend much time thinking about the ML 20th version.
I passed on most of the MCU figures if i see the Konchu figures if I see them on clearance I’d get them where I live nothings on clearance they go up or regular price
I only saw Speedball on clearance for the BAF Controller wave. It really is hit or miss, but the others have been pretty solid in terms of getting cheaper.
Great list LMF. No one can really argue against those on your list. Welcome to 2023! Niners are in the playoffs!!!!! We must have symmetry as my list was very similar to yours (you picked 3 I didn't get). I would contend that King Thor could deserve a spot - but I understand there are only 10. What I would like to see is a Top 10 ML figures you need to complete existing teams you've started (Inhumans etc.). For me, I would love to see the Inhumans finally getting some deserved attention, and if they cannot - please give us a Wizard and Trapster. With Medusa and Sandman at least there will be the OG Frightful Four team.

@@LylesFigureFiles I plan to get a second Ultimate Cap to snag the shield from him. It's larger than what we've been getting, which I like. Although Hasbro isn't pushing it like they are for the X-Men, it's the 60th Anniversary of the Avengers so I wouldn't be surprised if Cap makes another appearance.
I want them to update 60% of those pre-2018-19 figures because the bodies are outdated, specifically the head sculpt is TERRIBLE. Figures like Ms. Marvel, Hawkeye, Vision, Antman, Wasp, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Blade, Misty Knight, etc. These characters are too significant to the Avengers or to a specific community to only have one piss poor figure in a decade. To say nothing of characters like Bill Foster that have never shown up in modern Hasbro but Frogman leaping round.
That Misty Knight wasn't great from the start. She definitely needs an upgrade. I still like my Ms. Marvel figure, but I'd definitely be down for upgrades on the others you mentioned. And yes, we need a Bill Foster soon!
@@LylesFigureFiles that is exactly what I am saying. He was released before the price increase and it was already 27 usd (according to shartimus review where he told the price). You mentionned in your video you would complain less if we got that much accessories with 25usd regular release which was "strange" for me because it never was a regular release and we never got that much on basic figure. That's all

10. Hammerhead - already explained.
9. The Hulk (20th anniversary) - I know it’s like the eighth use of this buck but I love the Paul Harding-sculpted heads on this figure. Reminds me of the Rampaging Hulk magazine covers.
8. Baron Zemo (Walgreens) - great head sculpt, sleek body, and the purple color pops. Wonderful compliment to the Captain America that appears later.
7. Doctor Strange (Walmart) - So, so freaking good. Love all the accessories, and again with the Paul Harding heads!
6. Silver Surfer (HasLab) - I know most people who got the HasLab were probably more excited for Frankie Raye and Morg because they were new additions to the line, but they didn’t do as much for me as this simple redo of the Silver Surfer, one of my favorite Marvel characters. He’s not a simple re-release; there is a slight redeco that I think makes him brighter and sleeker. The new head sculpt is an improvement too. What can I say? I’m a mark for the Surfer; I never get tired of posing him and looking at him.
5. The Lizard (Walmart) - My favorite Spider-Man villain and my favorite version-I like the old school version more than the modern take that looks like a velociraptor with a lab coat. Great colors and accessories and alternate heads and hands, plus the bendy wire tale. So much fun!
4. Captain America (20th anniversary) - My only complaint about the previous anniversary version based on Alex Ross was the colors were too dark, so this version is perfect. Endless potential with posing and action. As close to the perfect Cap as I can imagine.
3. Black Panther (Wakanda Forever wave) - pretty much the perfect comic Black Panther, I think.
2. Spider-Man (Amazing Fantasy #15/Amazing Friends/Walmart retro) - I’m allowing for a three-way tie for all of these because they were all slight repaints of the same spectacular buck. Take your pick which you prefer, depending on which you could find and afford, but this is the supreme web-slinger.
1. Galactus (HasLab) - I paid $400 for this, I think I deserve to put it on my list. This is the first HasLab I ever backed and the one I knew I needed if I could only have one. One of my favorite Marvel characters/creations and done to perfection. I love that he towers over the rest of my collection… except for Stiltman. Stiltman is bigger.
Wait, the Amazing Friends buck is the same as the AF #15? Awwww man. I picked up Renew your vows but the buck was too big for my liking as main shelf Spidey. Now I need to either hope we get some more solo Spider-Men on that buck or go back and pick up another Iceman and Firestar just for that Spidey.
@@RisingBean Yeah, that's definitely my favorite buck for Spidey, but I don't want to buy another lceman and Firestar that I don't need. l ended up spending $40 to get the cel-shaded retro version and then removed the shading on the blue parts with some brush cleaner. l would ASSUME given how popular it is that they will release more Spider-Man on that body this year, but not sure.
@@ryandaly01 I think I'm going to wait on a future Spider-Man. It's not like Hasbro doesn't make Spidey over and over.
I like your list a lot! Good choices. I think I must have been sleeping on this Daredevil figure as you're not the first one to mention how great he turned out. I'm still annoyed I missed Lizard and Cap. They definitely seem like they would have made my list.

I can agree with most of your list I do really like Doctor Strange he would have been number one for me if the cape was easily removable and a little more paint on the tunic, I really like cosmic Thor they really need to stop cheapping out on the paint , accessories and extra head sculpts and hands and they will make there money back put more effort.
Yeah, I definitely see the tunic paint as an issue. I have the cosmic Thor and still haven't reviewed him yet, but in package he doesn't blow me away.

I pre-ordered that dude also. Then when I actually got him and took him out, I was so blown away I hopped on the Walmart app and stalked it until I saw Strange available again and ordered another one to keep in-box😅. My other '22 faves on your list was Retro Symbiote Spidey🕷🔥 and classic comic Black Panther🐆🔥. Both are *PERFECT!👌* in my opinion. I absolutely love posing and playing with those guys.
Being relatively new to action figures collecting, I absolutely love the Cap 20th Anniversary figure, but hate the stupid shield🙄.
Great list. So different than all the other lists I have seen for '22.
(btw--I also got the Retro Lizard and for me personally, he's so much better than Retro Shocker. I saw Shocker on the pegs, but passed on him.)
One of my pals actually got a spare Retro Lizard so I'll have him soon! Very excited to add him to my collection.
How far along are you in collecting Marvel Legends? It's a serious rabbit hole for newer collectors at this point.

I work at a bank inside a Walmart and had to get my Lizard in an eBay auction. Ironically, he appears on the shelf right before Xmas 😡

Agent 2-Pack.
Great list. I wish they'd made the Inner Demon a two-pack and Mr. Negative a standalone release. There were some nice MCU figures especially that She-Hulk.
@@LylesFigureFiles I know. Hasbro did a really good job with her figure. And I also agree that it would've been better to army build the Inner Demons without having to get so many extra Mr. Negative figures, which ebay is now flooded with.
I ordered a $7 Jigsaw from Walgreens during the super sale. A few days later I got a notice that they had to cancel my order because they were "SORRY... OUT OF STOCK." I went right to their website and they were in fact IN STOCK but at $22.99!! FML!!
That's frustrating and lame that they "sold out" because people wanted to take advantage of the sale. Wonder if they had a limit for the sale figures?

I'm done collecting Marvel Legends after this year primarily because of no windows but also, they are skimping on things like unmasked heads e.g. Black Panther, power effects e.g. Speedball, and washes that would elevate a figure from good to great e.g. Knull. Charging more not to maintain quality but for less is unacceptable. Plus, as Mr. Lyles pointed out inconsistent price raising for say a cell shaded figure on outdated bodies e.g. Mystique... that little bit of paint cost $3 extra.
If you wait until the end of the year or hit a good clearance deal mid-year the prices will balance out.
My local Walmart never has Marvel legends I mean never in over 10 years of being open but tonight at the end cap of one of the toy isles was not 1 or 2 but 13 Walmart exclusive Dr Strange figures and couldn't believe it 😳
The closet Walmart to me is a joke in terms of how poorly they stock anything. I have a few others that are hit and miss but I hear you. Did you end up getting Strange?
Love the vid!! The dr strange is such a good figure. I got it a couple months ago and I can’t wait to display it and take pictures. I hope you can put out a Star Wars black series. I gathered a good amount of black series in 2022, mostly due to price drops. Patience is key.

Cool that’s a vote for Black Series. I need to consult a checklist as like you I got a bunch after price drops so I need to make sure some 2021 figures don’t sneak into my list.
Lots of good Legends in 2022, with classic Dr. Strange, Shocker, Black Panther, Lizard, 20th Anniversary Hulk, Nova, Morg, and Galactus being my favorites.
Galactus wouldn’t have been fair to put on the list as he better be head and shoulders better than the $25 figures! 😉
Nova would have made the cut if his colors were yellow instead of gold. Walmart cancelled my Retro Lizard order three times so I had no luck with him. Did you have the Hulk vs Wolverine set? I had that Hulk and didn’t spend much time thinking about the ML 20th version.
I passed on most of the MCU figures if i see the Konchu figures if I see them on clearance I’d get them where I live nothings on clearance they go up or regular price
I only saw Speedball on clearance for the BAF Controller wave. It really is hit or miss, but the others have been pretty solid in terms of getting cheaper.
Great list LMF. No one can really argue against those on your list. Welcome to 2023! Niners are in the playoffs!!!!! We must have symmetry as my list was very similar to yours (you picked 3 I didn't get). I would contend that King Thor could deserve a spot - but I understand there are only 10. What I would like to see is a Top 10 ML figures you need to complete existing teams you've started (Inhumans etc.). For me, I would love to see the Inhumans finally getting some deserved attention, and if they cannot - please give us a Wizard and Trapster. With Medusa and Sandman at least there will be the OG Frightful Four team.

The Inhumans really need a dedicated box set or just focus over the next year and change. It’s not like they’re a huge team to complete. And I absolutely want to see the Frightful Four completed soon!

Although Hasbro isn't pushing it like they are for the X-Men, it's the 60th Anniversary of the Avengers so I wouldn't be surprised if Cap makes another appearance.

I want them to update 60% of those pre-2018-19 figures because the bodies are outdated, specifically the head sculpt is TERRIBLE. Figures like Ms. Marvel, Hawkeye, Vision, Antman, Wasp, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Blade, Misty Knight, etc. These characters are too significant to the Avengers or to a specific community to only have one piss poor figure in a decade. To say nothing of characters like Bill Foster that have never shown up in modern Hasbro but Frogman leaping round.
That Misty Knight wasn't great from the start. She definitely needs an upgrade. I still like my Ms. Marvel figure, but I'd definitely be down for upgrades on the others you mentioned. And yes, we need a Bill Foster soon!

@@LylesFigureFiles that is exactly what I am saying. He was released before the price increase and it was already 27 usd (according to shartimus review where he told the price). You mentionned in your video you would complain less if we got that much accessories with 25usd regular release which was "strange" for me because it never was a regular release and we never got that much on basic figure. That's all
