I would be yes, if the bid were low enough. For a work truck, I could live with the body damage and fix the wiper situation myself. But the ABS and AC compressor, that's at least $1500-$2500 worth of work at a reputable shop not counting whatever else is causing the CEL.
That Yaris is basically a rebadged Mazda 2 hence why it has Mazda gauges, sat nav, switchgear and even exterior styling. Toyota just threw some badges and new bumpers on it. IMO the Mazda 2 looked a hell of a lot better.
If that Cobalt was a SS model it might have been worth trying to get with that kind of damage. Regular Cobalts are still desirable but the SS versions are getting hard to come across.
Randy, just say no to the washers, they might compromise that door's seal to the body. I would just remove that door and fab a bracket to bolt to where that hinge goes, and use a come-along or whatever to pull on the bracket. That pillar don't have to come out far, and might only need to be straightened.
Interesting that in the States that Yaris seems to be based on a Mazda 3 Saloon platform. Here in Europe it's its own platform and in hatchback form, infotainment screen is different and everything 🤷♂️
My plumber has his Ford Transit work van in the shop for 3 months waiting on parts.He is using his wife’s Dodge Grandcaravan,seats fold in the floor and there’s a bunch of room in it.I can’t imagine getting into a wreck and waiting on parts.

I totally understand buying new but when all your gonna do is drive it for a minute, use it for UA-cam content , then why not buy cheap at auction and don't loose money on new? The AC may not work because the check engine light is on, at least on my 2011 Malibu, if the check engine light is on it wont engage the ac compressor or let me use remote start

One street I drove through a little car got water up to the bottom of the dash and the tailpipe of my F150 was under the water burbling up the exhaust like it was in a bathtub.
It is! It is actually the same as the Mazda 2 that we no longer get here in the US but with a different front end. Unfortunately, I do believe that the Yaris was also recently discontinued in the US, too.

11:30 that GMC Canyon 4x4 if someone gave me that truck i'd set it on fire. GM was cute and decided that to do the front brakes the axles would need to come off, they used to be really popular when new I knew several people that were unlucky to buy these new and someone who picked up a 2nd job just to pay the fucker off and get rid of it.
Man you don't know much about flood cars. I am surprised they let you try to start it. Just because it won't start doesn't mean anything. May or may not be a bad motor. Motor is likely hydrolocked but doesn't mean it is done. Trust me.

Since the hood can't open you might be able to get a good deal with the Ford Edge. However it is a gamble if it runs well or not.

Always remember that the cobalts have a both Shift silonoids that always go bad in them

Maybe the mustangs exhaust was completely plugged with dirt or mud? Check the air box filter for a wet air filter or water.

Regular Cobalts considered throwaway cars were I live. The SS and Sport models are more desirable. The base LS or LT models are trash.

My ex has a 2010 cobalt with 400,000 on it. Clutch hasn't even been replaced. If it will stay under her it has to be classified as indestructible .
