"Blur: pad" is called the same in several languages, but the other blur effects are often in the local language. Look for the effect that says "Exponential".
So I am editing a video where my face has to be focused and my background has to be blurred out. I tried the Blur Pad filter but is there a better way of doing this? Thanks in advance!
For anyone who wants to put text with the blurred background remember to go up to the videos tad (top left) and drag the Blur background above the text HTML
You should remake your "Davinci Resolve Video Game Background Blur" tutorial with the Mega Man footage for Shotcut. The blur pad filter in Shotcut makes it so much easier and faster to do this effect than in Davinci Resolve!
Yup I actually thought about that but then I wanted to use a different game and do the same thing. Definitely way easier in Shotcut than Davinci for this effect!

@@alienagenda1984 Thank you! Had the same problem. I'm from germany, here it is called "Weichzeichner" :D
Love to see a video on how to combine this effect with the mask filter. In other words blur everything except a selected part of the frame.
Maybe Tom if I can make a good video on it.
Hey! Is it possible to make the blur fade in and fade out? Thank you
Hmmm I don't think there's an easy way to do that automatically.
@@GeekoutdoorsBrand okay thank you!

I don't know of a simple way to do this however there are many video editing tutorials on UA-cam so maybe someone has done this before successfully.
