As a Mumbaikar I am saying this. Lol. Whole india india will develop bt not mumbai. Without min wage nothing going to change in mumbai. In mumbai people live becuz of slums as they are cheapest in whole india. If u remove slums whole cheap laboroures will leave mumbai. And all retail shops and restaurants will start booking losses😂😂in india Businessman don't share their profit to their employees. Just take example of mumbai. In mumbai there are many retail shops and restaurant and movie production houses. And u will see most laboroures or gig job workers who work their are either relatives of them or up, bihari and Bangladeshis. They hire rhem cuz they work in cheap salaries. hence in mumbai slum population is increasing and now uts upto 55%. Where 40% Bangladeshis, 28% up and bihair and 15% south indians living. Becuz of cheap laboroures all local people whether they are marathi or gujju, marwari or sindhi or parsi who were living since mumbai formed are either have to choose white collar jobs, do business or go abroad. Businessman are main problem of this country. Cuz they dont share high salary to employees. Second problem is overpopulation done by up, bihari and peaceful community. In mumbai slums and especially in bihari and Bangladeshis area u will see parents having 3-4 kids. Mumbai has most poor people in whole country. And they live in slums cuz living in slum is cheapest. In slums they have 5-6 k rent and they share with 5-7 members. And no tax and other maintenance. In building of 1rk min rent is 15 k with maintenance and election and other taxes

@@Dattebayo3089wow bro. I love people who admit their place's situation. Also great observation. Mumbai will eventually lose to other cities because of high prices. Even navi mumbai will give tough competition to mumbai. According to me that's good because we need more cities like mumbai so that it will be less crowded. Atleast 50 cities should have that calliber. Imagine 50 cities like mumbai. India will become great again

@@mayankbhardwaj550 u still didn't get. Mumbai is cheapest city if anyone lives in slums. No city in india can replace Mumbai cuz no city has cheap labour like mumbai. I work as ad and director in bollywood. And here for labour jobs and Jr artist not a single Mumbaikar is there. Cuz all migrants work with cheap salaries, 12-15 hrs and without any facilities or insurance. They work cuz most live in slums where u don't need good salary to survive. Mumbai's population is lesser than all metro cities in india if u calculate people who live in legal houses. In mumbai illegal slum population is high. Businesses earn more profit in mumbai due to slum population. as people who live their can afford to work with 10-15 k salary. Ambani, adani, godrej, tata etc have many private properties and there slum exist. They never even tried to remove slums on their private land. Cuz all Buisnesmen want cheap labour. In 90s Mumbai's slum population was 33%. In 2010 it was 43%. Now it's 55%. Govn also helping Businesses to grow slums due to cheap laboroures. More than that. After kolkata mumbai has most Bangladeshis in india. And the more Bangladeshis means more slums and illegal crimes.

I think Gujarat and Ahmedabad earned GIFT city under CM Modi even before BJP came to power. Its good to have more than 1 financial city. Mumbai still gets more branches by fintech companies instead of GIFT. Mumbai’s Metro will further make it even more attractive. Kudos for Gujaratis for their Business model. India to achieve a 10 trillion dollar economy and beyond, such IFSCs even outside of Mumbai are important. Gift will still get political backing for at least another 5 years under BJP

Also, if one notices a very bizzare phenomenon- many of the financial and infrastructure projects are halted in India no matter which city they're in.
Halted then started then halted again.
Many of it is State-Centre and/or State1-State2 power struggle.
BUT many NGOs also play a BIGGG role in knocking the train off its tracks.
Only a few handful of them are genuine, while the other (NGOs) are actually foreign-funded. Especially by a certain colonizer.

Mumbai will remain a focal point but GIFT is about leveraging location. The ports all around Saurashtra connecting directly to Gulf countries are the major factor here. An insane amount of ports are accelerating their development. It is going unnoticed because people are more interested in trains and expressways. New York developed due to it also being on the Atlantic trade route from Europe. If they can set up a high speed water taxi or underwater rail from Okha to Oman, that can change the destiny of both India and West Asia.

Instead of making our cities like Paris, Singapore, Shenzen, Beijing, Tokyo, Shangai, Guangzhou, and California, we should make plans that suit over needs. Every city in Bharat is different and every city requires a different set of solutions. What made Singapore that things may not work in cities like Bengaluru, Mumbai, Chennai. My extended family lives in Bengaluru and I visit Bengaluru 2-3 times a year. Main reason it was nit picking up quickly before 2014 was because central gov of Congress was not supporting it as it needed changes in some laws. Idea, innovation & vision was created by GIFT like 15 years ago, if it is given to Mumbai than it would be injustice to GIFT, you can’t just steal idea of other city or government and give it to different city (Mumbai). While if Mumbai really wanted this to be created as international financial hub, it would have done 15 years back, as GIFT is new city from Scratch while Mumbai already had infrastructure.
