Ugly politics in the judiciary keeps rearing its head in favor of Trump. There will never be justice in this case unless the US AG is replaced and a major shakeup occurs in the federal judiciary. If Harris wins we can hope Garland will be replaced.

Removing Cannon from the document theft case is not enough...she has shown she is unqualified to be on the bench and should be removed altogether. Further, she should be disbarred; she is not fit to be anywhere near the law and its profound importance to the vitality of our country.
Never going to happen unless Democrats manage to win the election and stack both houses with such majorities that they can effectively impeach and remove from office every corrupt appointment made by Conservatives going all the way back to Clarence Thomas. But they shouldn't stop there.
Each and every appointment that has shown themselves to have acted corruptly should be charged, convicted and sent to prison.
Cannon like the six Supreme Court RW judges make law for one man to be above the law. This is illegal in our Constitution so they should be declared "null and void" since no one is above the law. They are doing judicial misconduct never seen by our county by the high court judges. The Supreme Court has no power to change our law and Constitution. Cannon is finished professionally. DOJ is going to see this case through, refiled or not. If the orange SOB is still alive when the case concludes, he’s going to jail or Elba. The Special Counsel statute/laws/rules etc. will be strengthened after the 11th Circuit overturns her ruling based on what they decide. Which of course will be appealed up to the corrupt SC. Who knows what those assholes will do. All of this shit is going to take forever now (as if it hasn’t already). But Cannon has ruined her Federal career. She’ll probably resign before she gets bounced off the case. She’s made plenty of enemies and is known to be a partisan hack. If the SOB is dead, there are plenty of other people SC Smith can indict once the case resumes, which it will in one form or another. In the interim, SC Smith might release more docs so the public can have another look at the size and scope of the treason of Chump and his cronies.

Well there is no statute of limitations on MURDER, and Trump did MURDER his partners in the NJ Casino business. IT was written up in the NYTimes. Treason is not at issue here. The US constitution defines treason very narrowly. It involves either levying war against the US or giving aid and comfort to the enemies of the same. They would have to prove that Trump gave some of these documents to enemies of the US. That's why he hasn't faced a charge of treason. It's the one crime that is clearly defined in the US constitution.
If the judiciary was so concerned about Cannon's judgement and behaviour the 11th Circuit could have taken up the issue 'Sua Sponte' without waiting for a request or appeal. They are complicit in Cannon's lawlessness.

You nailed all the cases and their epic disappointments, but they failed because they were corrupt political hit jobs, where they stretched the laws into pretzels to make up a case. I appreciate the 11th Circuit's action in setting this schedule. They will be able to overturn Cannon's ludicrous dismissal and probably also recuse her from the case after the election. This takes the politics out of the decision, which would have potentially affected the election whichever way the decision went. If Harris wins, case back on under Smith or the applicable U.S. Attorney. If Trump wins, both federal cases going poof will be the least of the horrific problems facing the country.

Why isnt she in jail for aiding and abetting an enemy of the state? We're going to need more laws that spell out what cant be done, and what can. This is a matter of national security. The more this is delayed, the more our country is put into jeopardy, from both within, the traitor, Donald Trump, and from without, the adversaries suspected but unknown who may have benefited from this information. Delay by the 11th circuit court creates the possibility that if Trump is reelected, this will all be dismissed summarily. Our country and allies greatly weakened all because of the excuse of bureaucratic process. This is a matter that should be taken over by Martial law, and tried in the military court.
